I don't have one, because I have only 2 pairs of running shoes, so I am still searching for the perfect shoes... Currently I am using the Speedgoat 3 by Hoka One One, which feels very good, but a little narrow in the forefoot, and the Saucony Guide ISO, which works kind of ok...
Great review. Just ordered a pair having run in Ultraboosts for the last year. First run set a 5k PB looking forward to breaking my 10k and half marathon times in this! It’s really surprising what difference a more responsive shoe makes
I bought the Turbo 2s as a casual shoe (chronic osteomyelitis from a bad motorcycle accident that requires I wear really comfortable shoes.) They're extremely comfortable. They're my second most worn shoe (behind only my ON Cloud 50/50.) No regrets as far as buying them for comfort.
I bought the Peggy 2's off the back of your review Ben and i've got to say they're the best shoes i've ever had. I'm about 400 miles in and they're still feeling good albeit a little less bouncy. Rolling into 2021, Nike's newest range of heavy shoes worry me about replacing these. Any recommended replacements either Nike or other brands? Maybe another pair of Peggy 2's before they disappear. Keep up the great work Ben.
I love my Epic reacts - favourite shoe I've ever owned*. About to invest in some Epic react 2 (already reduced to £77). For off-road it's Salomon Sense Ride and will replace those with Pegasus 36 trail in a few months. * Comfort is my main priority at my age!
I purchased these a few weeks ago, ran about 50 miles in them so far and they are just perfect for me! Use them as daily trainers but they will definitely be in rotation for my next parkrun!
Little bit late, but zoom flyes has carbon plate and they are not made for slow paces about 5:00/km , So as a race shoes, they are just fine, little bit heavy but u won't feel it in the race
Bought a pair of these last week (in red). So far - love them. Managed a 16k run (previous max was 10k) without blistering which has been my biggest issue, so I’m delighted with them. Have only done 4 runs in them so far but loving the lack of pain!
@@markunderwood547 I've been using them on my long runs (10+ miles) and track workouts. They seem to keep my legs fresh during my long runs because they're so light, and they also help with a quicker turnover with the meta-rocker on the track workouts. I also plan to break them out for my upcoming 8k road race, I'll let you know how that goes.
Brooks Puregrit 5 for pretty much everything for ages, but when not running I’m always in vivobarefoots so wanted something to let my feet spread out more and and also a bit more cushioning whilst upping mileage. Altra Torin Knit 3.5 going well so far!
My partner has just got some Altra Escalante for that reason.. really helping with foot spread. They are working well for her. Hopefully the Torin's keep going well for you!
wow! I found out about your channel like a month ago, and I have to say, every video is interesting and my running has improved a lot with ( specially the videos with tips that you have) it is a very good channel for runners like me, I recommend it
I got the Pegasus turbo 2 and I love them. You really feel the comfort the first moment when you wear them. I feel like they make my form a little better. These shoes are awesome .
I’m beginning to question whether these 10mm drop shoes can actually promote good form or injury prevention. Hoka or of course Altra seem to work better for me in that they insist upon a more conscious efficient midfoot strike. Also seems to be relevant that Nike is suddenly lowering the drop (albeit only to 8mm) on the Vaporfly. That said, I’ve owned and enjoyed plenty of Nike shoes in my time!
A few people who come to my coaching session are using the 36's at the moment and they are all very happy with them.. for the price point, it seems like a lot of shoe for the money. Great that it's working well for you Chrissy! :-)
I was running during my preparation for a half-marathon in the Nike Pegasus 35 and I was impressed by its quality vs price. But I found an offer on Nike website and I bought a pair of Turbos (the last year version) for 110€ or so. I have put in them 100km during a 10k under 40 min preparation and I like them so much. They are as cushioned as I need (I am a really light runner) and they feel extraordinary fast for me! I like them so much! I will buy another pair when I finish this ones !
I've had my turbo 2's for 3 weeks, very impressed. ( first Nike shoes I've ever ran in )I've moved over fromOn Cloudflow, the turbos are lighter and even more comfortable. Still using On Cloudventure peak for trail running.
Hi Ben, I hope your recovery is going well. I was considering buying these for threshold sessions, around 3:25 or 30/km, you think these would handle a faster pace well? I’m worried that they might be a little too soft, but they’re great shoes on sale now! Cheers👏
great review: I bought a pair over the weekend and took them out this morning. Do love them, the only negative would be on wet uphill tarmac roads I personally felt they are a little light on traction. no doubt I'll get used to that. thanks
I have the Pegasus Turbo. I'm on my second pair. I found the nike winflo 6. They look and feel similar to the Turbo's. They only cost me $133 for two pairs. I use them on my training runs, so i can safe the Turbo's for when i want to go fast or have extra support. I rotate all 3 pairs during the week.
I got some Turbo 1’s a few months ago and just find them so different to the various Adidas shoes that I’m used to that I still can’t decide what to make of them. It just feels like there’s a big “something” (this is why I don’t review shoes!) under each mid-foot that I find unusual. They’re not uncomfortable, I’ve been up to 14 miles in them (my longest run ever) and had no issues and yet I still can’t say if I like them or not. Most recently I’ve bought some Hoka Clifton 6’s (my first Hoka’s) and I know instantly that I really do like them. Nicely cushioned without being heavy. I’ve got my 1st marathon coming up in a couple of months and right now I’d say I think I’ll be doing it in the Hoka’s.
Most training miles are split between Reebok Floatride Fast and Reebok Floatride Energy, but I have recently added Saucony Freedom ISO 2 to my shoe rotation. For racing I stick to good old Nike Zoom Streak 6, but it's going to be replaced by Streak 7 or Adios 4 soon.
Pegasus 35 atm will get the 36 when they die. Also run in the Nike zoom streak 6 for racing, Hoka Evo jawz for hills and trails, Nike zoom d9 for track and Adidas xc for cross country. Always worn the Pegasus for general running right from the 32s.
Currently in the Peg 36s (my first ever set of Pegasus’s) where have I been??. Love them great all round shoe, and a bit of a jack-of-all-trades love the versatility of them but the turbos are on my bucket list for next marathon
Hi friend, does version 2 improve stability? the sole and the midsole is the same as the previous version? I explain I am a pronator and using orthopedic insole I deformed the shoe version 1.Thanks
I’m currently using ASICS ds trainer for speed and races Nike zoom structure triax ASICS gt 2000 series plus two of the 1000 series Saucony glide like to rotate my shoes around thinking of getting another pair soon my some hoka aria 👍
I use Adidas Adizero Bostons; one training pair, one fresh (race) pair. I used Brooks GTS for years, until I bought a pair of Adidas Adizero Tempo a couple of years back; they were a revelation! So much lighter and easier to run in than the Brooks. I've also tried a couple of pairs of Saucony in the past. One thing I have found is that the only pairs I feel confident in when running on wet roads are Adidas; they have like a rubber sole from Continental (tyres). All the other makes I've used have slipped when running in the wet. These Nike's look like they have a moulded, plasticky type of sole (akin to the Brooks & Saucony) and I imagine they would be slippy in the wet as well. Just wondered if you've ever found this a problem with any of your shoes?
HI Ben, thanks for the great review! I'd really like to try these Turbo 2's and I'd especially like to try the previous model the Turbo X's which you reviewed so favorably. However, I've had no luck in finding the Turbo X's. Even many of the Nike stores say it's no longer available. I can locate a few pairs online but the stock in terms of sizes is very limited. I wonder is the shoe no longer being manufactured or is it just so popular that it's out of stock. With regards to the Turbo 2, almost all of the sites I've checked online either carry a very limited stock in terms of sizes or as in the case of amazon.com, the prices are outrageous as in $180-230 plus almost the same in shipping to Europe. Do you know of any seller ideally for the Turbo X, if not them then the Turbo 2? Thanks for your time.
@@BenParkes thanks mate keep up the great work. Cant wait for your new hats and stuff to come out I'm always wearing my red logo one on. Best hat out there
Loved the turbo 1. Still running in them yet with over 550 miles done. Probably more than they should be able to do but still going strong. I would definitely consider the Turbo 2 as my next shoe.
Have mostly been running in Turbo 1 and Ultraboost 19. Bought the 1. Epic react for around £60 at an sports outlet here in Denmark. Absolutely a banger of a shoe! Live it, and thinking about buying another one for that price 🙏
Chuck I had 34 as well, for the first 50-100km I didn’t enjoyed them but after that it was just a smooth ride and yea they are far more better than 35 🙌🏻
I'm currently running in Altra Escalantes, and they're great. The Ego midsole material is probably my favorite of any shoe I've ever used. I'm considering picking up the Clifton 6 or the Torin 4 as a long run shoe.
Right now still sporting my Turbo 1s, amazing shoe, really. Does it all. I'd use the Turbo for everything but short speed stuff, really. To give my feet different input though I rotate like 10 pairs of shoes (Turbos, Skechers GRR7, Altra Escalante, Escalante Racer, Adios 3, Adios 4, Streak 6, Skechers Razor 2, Kiga 5, Mizuno Aero 16). Treated myself to a pair of Rincons the other day, which I had the chance to only run in once so far. Hope they live up to the hype. The ride reminds me a bit of the Turbo at half the drop, they run a bit narrow in the midfoot though.
Great review video Ben! Was considering getting a pair and am really tempted to after this video! Currently running in the Adidas ultraboost 19, a great shoe but just a little to bulky/heavy for my liking.
Yeah.. to be honest I don't know how anyone could run in the ultra boosts.. the support when running round corners is non existent! If that's what you're use to though, I'd look out for some Turbo 1's, as they have better support round the ankle and are 99% as fast as these. All the best!
@@BenParkes Yeah they're not particularly great round corners especially on quicker runs. Thanks for the advice on what to go for, that'll probably be my next purchase! All the best, happy running!!
Have you ever considered looking at Decathlon's running lineup, i.e Kiprun or whatever it is called? I have a bunch of stuff from Decathlon I'm really rather happy with, but I haven't dared delve into their running shoes. It would be interesting to hear what you have to say about them, especially since they are so much cheaper than the sort of legacy brands.
I have a video coming up on the most expensive shoe (the Nike next%) verses the cheapest shoe, which will be from Decathlon. In a mile shoot out. I'd be really interested to see the results! When I started running 95% of all my apparel came from Decathlon.. really good stuff for the price.
Gotta say I am on my third pair of Pegasus 35 turbos and I have only gotten 250-300 miles out of each pair. Don’t get me wrong, these are my favorite running shoes of all time, but I don’t think the zoomx foam is really durable. It just collapses a bit over time. That being said, I tend to be very sensitive to worn out shoes bc I suffer from overuse injuries, so it could just be me
Nice top! Been seeing a lot of cool Nike Trail gear when watching the Ultra guys racing. Shoes...... I have always used Adidas. No other reason than just familiarity. I only stick to the ultra boost but nowadays they are slip ons/with the lack of a "tongue" they do not support your feet on corners/bends.
Ha.. it actually came from Sports Direct believe it or not.. was very surprised to see it in there.. I had some ultra boosts when I first started to take running seriously again and stopped using them for the same reason, I just couldn't go round corners very fast in them!! But they are super comfy in every other way though
Hi Ben, really enjoying your content I'm relatively new to distance running but hitting 100KM+ a month now so I went for the Brooks Ghost 11's, feeling the higher heel now as I increase my distance per run and seem to be getting recurring blisters in the same spots behind the ball of my feet :(. Trying to manage them and hoping it's the shoes still wearing in (200KM done so far) and not my calves going tight interfering with my gait! Anyway, mate good luck with your training will be watching your progress!
I picked up the version 1s recently. I liked it a lot at first, but as I put more mileage in, I'm starting to not like it as much. Somehow I think it is a little unforgiving, in terms of feet landing. But when my form is good, it does reward me with a nice ride. I was looking to get the NB Fuel Cell Impulse, since they are on sale for around 50GBP, wonder what do you think of those?
I compared all my 2018 Nikes to the 2019 releases collectively. Peg Turbo, Pegasus 35, Nike Zoom Fly flynit vs 2019 Turbo2, Zoomfly 2019, Pegasus 36. I like the 2019 models, but I can't say they are any better than the 2018 releases.
I find it difficulty to switch between different shoes, especially going from training to racing. It doesn't make a lot of sense ( at least in my perspective ) to train the bulk of your miles in a shoe that you won't be wearing on race day. In-fact, I strongly feel that my feet acclimate to different shoes in quite distinctive ways. For that reason, I actually commit to wearing the same shoe that I race in, to train in. Previously it was the 4% and now it's the next%. What is your stance on training/racing on different shoes?
I'm looking for a light pair nike trainers (to wear every day and not run in as I have terrible shins). The turbo 2 look nice but would be a shame to buy them and never run a step in them lol.
Hi ! Thanks for the very good review! Iam use Peg35 everyweek and I prefer Pegasus 35 to marathon as well.. What do You think is Turbo2 even a marathon shoe.. ?!
Good review! Is that a Hoka Rincon in the back? What are you’re toughts on that? I do half and full triatlons. I’m looking for a fast light shoe with a little support for pronating. I like the Nike zoom fly 2 but its narrow and lacks a bit of support after a long day. I also have a Clifton 5 great cushioning but less comfy upper but has the support. Also a bit slow. Is the Rincon in the middle of that?
I’ve got a new balance 890v6 for long runs. Nice and comfy although I’m looking for something more responsive. Wanted to point out how lacing can effect of overall comfort. (Worth a few minutes to play around). After many kms do you retire your shoes?
Thanks for the excellent review. I currently train in Brooks Ghost and race in On Cloudflows (Triathlons w/ 5K or 10K runs). I love the Cloudflows because they are really comfy without socks, have good cushion, and are nice and light. I'd like to try the Turbo 2's for racing. How do you think they'd feel around the heal and ankle without socks without any cushioning there? I'd like to try the Next%, but alas, they don't come in size 14.
Really inspired me to get into running Ben. I have my first race in September, the Great North Run half marathon. Hoping to get sub 2 hour. Do you have any tips? Thank you
I'll be racing there too Jordan! For your first race and training for your first race, just try to enjoy it. Getting a plan to follow along always helps and will give you variety in your training, which makes things fun. Make sure you're doing some of your longer runs at a pace that feels nice and easy, where you could chat to a partner running with you.. that will really help you build up some endurance stamina. All the best and GOOD LUCK!!
A friend of mine got 1000 mls out of the version 1 and honestly it didn't look very bad after that. He replaced it when he bought the version 2. I noticed that you have also the Rincon there. It's a lovely versatile shoe. Can you compare it to the Turbo? In my opinion the only negative issue with the Rincon is the outsole durability. After 197K mine is quite worn out but probably it doesn't matter.
Ben, I know a new comment on a 2 year old video is a surprise - but I was wondering, would you be able to compare the new ZoomX Streakflys which is all the rage right now to the older Pegasus Turbo 1 or 2? I am looking for a new shoe for my faster training in the spring, and I am wondering if I’ll be just as happy in the Peg Turbos or I should try to get the Streakfly?
I have a bone spur on my metatarsophalangeal joint (on the big toe) due to hallux rigidus. I liked the first version on the turbo because the upper is very accommodating in that area. How is the fit of the V2 compared to the V1 (especially above the big toe)? Thanks and keep going with great contents :)
Hi... my foot length is 26 cm... This shoe has less padding around the foot. Keeping that in mind.. can you please help me find out the perfect size for my foot for this shoe?
Hi Ben.. .. or anyone else in the comment thread. My foot size is 26.2 cm with sox on. US 8.0 is for foot size 26.0 cm. Us 8.5 is for foot size 26.5 cm. What size should I go for considering the top material is pretty light. Please help.
9 weeks to Berlin and my ghost 11 shoes have burst after 150 miles. Recommendation for a new shoe Pegasus 36, Nike zoom fly knit or any other recommendations?
Hi Ben, thanks for a great video on the turbo 2. I have a question for you :) Is there any difference between the "regular" Turbo 2 and the "Hakone" version?
hello Ben, I have a question regarding the laces bunch up, I also have size 12 and quite a narrow foot and they do the same bunch ... after a longer period is this going to be a real problem ? I'm thinking about showing premature wear signs in that area or even performance issues, blisters etc ? thanks
What is your favourite shoe of all time??
I don't have one, because I have only 2 pairs of running shoes, so I am still searching for the perfect shoes...
Currently I am using the Speedgoat 3 by Hoka One One, which feels very good, but a little narrow in the forefoot, and the Saucony Guide ISO, which works kind of ok...
Brooks Ghost! Everything I want from a running shoe over any distance
adidas Adizero Takumi Sen

Have mostly been running in Turbo 1 and Ultraboost 19. Bought the 1. Epic react for around £60 at an sports outlet here in Denmark. Absolutely a banger of a shoe! Live it, and thinking about buying another one for that price 🙏
Currently using
1) Pegasus 35
2) zoomfly flyknit
That's a pretty speedy combo Ronak!
ronak shekhawat I had the Pegasus 34 and love them, really hated the pegasus 35 didn’t get on with them
Chuck I had 34 as well, for the first 50-100km I didn’t enjoyed them but after that it was just a smooth ride and yea they are far more better than 35 🙌🏻
I'm currently running in Altra Escalantes, and they're great. The Ego midsole material is probably my favorite of any shoe I've ever used. I'm considering picking up the Clifton 6 or the Torin 4 as a long run shoe.
I also got one escalante. It's such an awesome running shoe. Let's go with the clifton 6 when you compare it to the Torin 4.
@@BenParkes Cool! I'm looking forward to watch it
Gotta say I am on my third pair of Pegasus 35 turbos and I have only gotten 250-300 miles out of each pair. Don’t get me wrong, these are my favorite running shoes of all time, but I don’t think the zoomx foam is really durable. It just collapses a bit over time. That being said, I tend to be very sensitive to worn out shoes bc I suffer from overuse injuries, so it could just be me
Reebok Forever Floatride Energy 😍 at the moment - what a brilliant shoe!
I’m enjoying my Saucony ISO ride guide 2 at the moment.
Wish I watched this first Ben, ordered 10 and they are a bit too long 🤦🏻♂️ Should have got 9.5 🤔
Just picked up the Altra Escalante 2.....love it
I picked up the version 1s recently.
First run in my nike turbo 2’s today!
Enjoy Kim.. hope it's a good one!
Got mine 2 Days Ago and i must say they are GREAT! Thanks for the Review. Its really a very good Shoe feels good and comfy! And yea its fucking fast!
I'm looking for a light pair nike trainers (to wear every day and not run in as I have terrible shins). The turbo 2 look nice but would be a shame to buy them and never run a step in them lol.
Hey Ben
First video, but now I’m a subscriber! Great review. I wear US 10 1/2 in Peg 36. What size should I get in Turbo 2? Thanks!
Us 10
I currently run adizero Boston 6s. They're nothing special but they get the job done.
Currently using Brooks Glycerin 16 & Caldera 2. I've never strayed from Brooks to be honest
Hi !
Thanks for the very good review! Iam use Peg35 everyweek and I prefer Pegasus 35 to marathon as well.. What do You think is Turbo2 even a marathon shoe.. ?!
im using currently Asics GT 2000
Good review! Is that a Hoka Rincon in the back? What are you’re toughts on that? I do half and full triatlons. I’m looking for a fast light shoe with a little support for pronating. I like the Nike zoom fly 2 but its narrow and lacks a bit of support after a long day. I also have a Clifton 5 great cushioning but less comfy upper but has the support. Also a bit slow. Is the Rincon in the middle of that?
For long training i prefer asics gts 2000 7 and kayano 25. For speed workout nike pegasus
I’ve got a new balance 890v6 for long runs. Nice and comfy although I’m looking for something more responsive. Wanted to point out how lacing can effect of overall comfort. (Worth a few minutes to play around).
After many kms do you retire your shoes?
New to the channel. Going to get these. Thanks for your advice
I love them. I bought 2 pairs of the turbo 2.
Got these on offer for £112 at the moment in my size, very tempting!
Down to £95 with the current NIKE2021 code :)
Hi Ben thanks for all your reviews, I find them very helpful!! Have you tried the Nike Pegasus 37? would it somehow compare with this one?
Really inspired me to get into running Ben. I have my first race in September, the Great North Run half marathon. Hoping to get sub 2 hour. Do you have any tips? Thank you
I'll be racing there too Jordan! For your first race and training for your first race, just try to enjoy it. Getting a plan to follow along always helps and will give you variety in your training, which makes things fun. Make sure you're doing some of your longer runs at a pace that feels nice and easy, where you could chat to a partner running with you.. that will really help you build up some endurance stamina. All the best and GOOD LUCK!!
@@BenParkes I've heard there's a few hills so will definitely be training for them
I think Ben maybe the nicest happiest person in the UK 👍
Got another pair of Saucony this time Ride ISO
A friend of mine got 1000 mls out of the version 1 and honestly it didn't look very bad after that. He replaced it when he bought the version 2. I noticed that you have also the Rincon there. It's a lovely versatile shoe. Can you compare it to the Turbo? In my opinion the only negative issue with the Rincon is the outsole durability. After 197K mine is quite worn out but probably it doesn't matter.
Btw, can you make that running hat in the neon green color?
Ben, I know a new comment on a 2 year old video is a surprise - but I was wondering, would you be able to compare the new ZoomX Streakflys which is all the rage right now to the older Pegasus Turbo 1 or 2?
I am looking for a new shoe for my faster training in the spring, and I am wondering if I’ll be just as happy in the Peg Turbos or I should try to get the Streakfly?
This shoe is amazing! Coming from the Ultraboost 19 Nike is leaps and bounds ahead of Adidas in terms of comfort and performance.
Enjoy your analysis. You should review the Vomero 14.
I have a nike Pegasus 36 and its comfortable in my feet and its nice for running.
Hi... my foot length is 26 cm...
Please help.
will you be reviewing the new nike zoom fly?
9 weeks to Berlin and my ghost 11 shoes have burst after 150 miles. Recommendation for a new shoe Pegasus 36, Nike zoom fly knit or any other recommendations?
i prefer the men’s colours are the men’s generally bigger
Hello should i buy these or pegasus 36?
I actually went a half size up for mine
Hi Ben, thanks for a great video on the turbo 2. I have a question for you :)
Is there any difference between the "regular" Turbo 2 and the "Hakone" version?
hello Ben, I have a question regarding the laces bunch up, I also have size 12 and quite a narrow foot and they do the same bunch ... after a longer period is this going to be a real problem ? I'm thinking about showing premature wear signs in that area or even performance issues, blisters etc ? thanks
Can you do a review on the new Hoka Rincon? That would be awesome!
Hi, what size should I get in these if my EU size in Pegasus 36 is 47,5 ? Do they fit the same?
I love the Brooks launch 5
i got a pair of these and they are like light weight version of my pegasus 34
I just the OG at the outlet store two weeks ago for $80... will probably get these next year 😎
