    Hey! Nice video...
Can you please help me know whether why do we have those 6 brakes lines in the abs module?
    Where do they connect.?
    And why only 6?

Without the diagram in front of me, there's two green that come off the brake master cylinder into the ABS unit, and 4 green out from that unit the each of the 4 brakes. So yeah, 6 sounds right. I'd have to look again.
Those green lines go in & out of the ABS unit so that the car can electronically pump your brakes in a skid. The module I replace in this video is the small computer, or brain of the entire ABS system, that sits on top of the unit's electric actuators. The module is usually what goes bad when Saabs have ABS issues

Hello by anychance would you know the location of the distributor on a saab 2001 9-3?. I cant seem to find anything on it online or other. Thanks man

There is no "distributor" on a 2001 Saab 9-3. The timing & firing order is all done by the electronic DIC, as opposed to a mechanical distributor like those red things you see on older Saab engines.

Hi Ross. We recently purchased a cheap '99 9-3. It's getting some TLC ready to return to road worthiness. I'm not upset about pouring $2k into it, tidy as, drives very nicely, only done 103,000km. My issue is that it has ugly aftermarket alloy wheels. Someone locally is dismantling a '04 9-5. Do you know if the factory alloy wheels from that car will fit ours?

Oh yeah, they will most definitely fit. Both the 9-3 & 9-5 are the same 5x110 bolt pattern. People swap wheels between them all the time!

hey! i am short on cash and have a basic working of cars. do you think I would be able to achieve this fix? it's exactly what's going on with my car. I'm in tennesee and there's few people around who know how to fix a saab and I don't want to get over charged

You can absolutely do this in your driveway, the job just requires patience, not necessarily skill. I did it once on a 9-5 as a young, broke soldier lol it was only about $150 to get it rebuilt. The downtime while you're waiting / shipping it in / getting it back is something to keep in mind too. Is it your only car?

If I could afford a set from a 900 I think that would look epic.

    • @saabross3171

The classic 900 & 9000 however won't fit. Those were 4 bolts whereas the 1999 9-3 and are up are 5. The NG900 wheels will fit though, if that's what you meant. I have a set a Talladega 900 wheels I've been meaning to put on my '99 9-3.
