Very cool early-days functionality, but the battery life limitation should be better specified, the 640 x 480 resolution too, among other issues. You made a good video ad, and I realize this was a sponsored video, but you shouldn't skip over relevant information. And, I say this about all companies' sponsored promos. And yes, I realize some of the early backers are going to downvote this. 🤷🏻♂️

most important detail, imo, omitted is FOV. It's so annoying when companies hype their new AR/VR goggles and leave this parameter out. I see in another article it says, "RayNeo X2 Lite can cover 30 degrees of your field of view (FOV)." (I guess the Lite might be different than the non-Lite version but I doubt it's different by a factor of 3-4). That is tiny. I can't imagine it feeling very immersive at all.
Are they better than the one you can put giant screen in front of you?
Can I watch Netflix though?

I'm impressed with the "Hud" and the chatgpt feature. I'd like to see the ability to do what Apple Vision Pro does with watching TV/movies and mirroring computer screens.
I was thinking these types of AR glasses with the display inside the lenses would mean the fov can be the entire lens.
Oh so they just took it to the next level 120 HZ? And how many nits of brightness how large is the screen besides that those heads up features should be a must for all AR glasses going forward

Can the person opposite see what is displayed on the freshness, even if it is a simple thing, or as if it were a normal freshness that appears and nothing appears?

What I never see in these reviews is using rayneo x2 to translate a foreign txt like pinyin or katakana. Use case reading a street sign in Japanese. I guess it does not have this feature yet.
The only reason why i'm interested in these glasses are because they're way lighter than portable monitors and laptops, so i can use samsung dex everywhere even without monitor/tv. The AR an AI are cool and all, but i don't see why it could replace smartphones and smartwatches functionality. I even hate wearing "normal" glasses for prolonged periode of time, moreover a smart glasses that could potentially give me motion sickness.
But at this stage, they're too goofy looking. I don't know why manufacturers prefer to use birdbath and waveguide approach, when pinmirror and pintilt exist.
The tech is getting there but same as all other competitors even apple vision pro is not for mass market yet, more for techies right now but will be great in few more years especially with integrated Ai
I don’t know even care that they are ugly. The real time translation and ChatGPT response functions basically sold it for me. I’ll just customise it myself😂

I just don't like the concept of glasses. I don't even like to wear my prescription ones, I like the hardware if very chunky and aesthetically unpleasing. Great video.

I wish the tcl ray neo x2 ar glasses still used micro led with 1,000 nits with no a.i like the announcement that was mentioned about the smart glasses back in january of 2023. The 2023 article about the tcl ray neo x2 ar glasses never mentioned a.i when the smart glasses was being announced and ai was only being announced in 2024. It just said that the smart glasses uses micro led with 1,000 nits. I have no interest with using ai since I don't trust a.i. Every oled device that I use already have burn issues, that's why I prefer to use displays that are not oled but also have an oled option for the consumers that still want to have oled as an option. I'm mainly interested in the ar glasses so I can use the backbone controller and use my wired headphones from the headphone jack on the game controller and use the ar glasses from my phones headphone jack when I'm watching 4k movies from my micro sd card or 4k youtube videos from my sony xperia 1 iv 4k oled display when I'm not playing games on my phone. The micro led and 1,000 nits are what got me interested in the smart glasses but I wish there was a 4k resolution option just like my phone. The large majority of devices that I use already have a 4k display and I switched to 4k displays fully time since 2014 and I'm already used to using 4k displays.
You're not going to like the future then, as AI is the future for all mobile & accessory tech. You can always disable it if you prefer. But this thing is probably using the best in class AI - ChatGPT. That's impressive to me, since I never found ChatGPT as accessible as Google. These glasses changes that. Now you can get far more detailed answers to your queries AND have them displayed right infront of your eyes! Game changing tbh 👀
As for the display, I think you're thinking of Micro OLED, which is now the goto these days for alot of these type of glasses. MicroLED display is still expensive. That tech is barely available in large TVs. Let alone more affordable smaller TVs & mobile tech. If they advertised production of a MicroLED glasses back in Jan 2023, it was likely a typo. That display tech won't likely be available to small consumer devices until another 3-5 years!
@@GetUrOwnHandle The link for the tcl ray neo x2 ar glasses in this video shows micro led as the display specs on the website from the indie gogo website that was provided in this video. I clicked on the link and when I scrolled to the bottom of the page, it says the glasses are using micro led not micro oled. I'm just going by what it shows on the indie gogo website since the specs are on the bottom of the page. It even says on the rayneo website that the glasses are using optical wave guide micro led technology and nothing about micro oled. With windows 11, I was trying to find a way to completely uninstall and remove windows copilot ai and according to forums, they all said about disabling the ai but I want to completely get rid of it and remove it since I never use it since I consider it bloatware and adware by microsoft. I use windows 11 because I use bluestacks for using android apps due to microsoft removing support from android sub system with the amazon app store needed to sideload android apps and because I play games on pc There are certain apps that I use that are available on windows and android. I don't like mac os since I never understood how to navigate and use the operating system. I can't stand iTunes since I used use iTunes on windows and it's terrible compared to media monkey which is available for windows and android and not available for mac os when I was looking for media monkey on mac os. I mainly use android, chrome os and windows. Chrome os because I'm waiting for the over the air support when google rolls out the update whenever it will happen to play steam games locally on select models of chromebooks. Chrome os uses proton similar to the steam deck to play steam games on chromebooks.
