How do you figure that? World Athletics already had a process in place to deal with it. Furthermore, they were continuing to adjust it *in the interests of fairness.*
Now they throw it out. Either there’s been an ideological argument within WA or they’re afraid of something.
The best thing that can happen now is that the model for the Paralympics can be adapted to suit.

@@drevil7684 Tell it like it is: in athletics, biological women were already protected.
In the 1940's perhaps the system was more fallible but women still had to present a doctor's examination certificate to prove their eligibility.
In the 1960s this was deemed inadequate and testing for genetic abnormalities was introduced. If you had an abnormality like an extra chromosome (XXY), you couldn't compete.
Later on, this was deemed unfair because the condition was treatable with testosterone-reducing medications.
That was the case until yesterday. Women such as Caster Semenya, who refused the treatment, were not eligible to compete.
She refused, therefore she voted herself out. Her appeal to the Human Rights Commission also failed. Aminatou Seyni was facing the same prospect.
Anyone who says that biological men were allowed to compete against women in athletics is a liar.

This is the right step, but should have completely banned male participation im female athletics. The ban concerns only those who have gone through male puberty. This could result in pressure being put on younger children to 'transition', what a BS word.

They would never have let a drop of male hormones or steroids into a woman or man for athletic enhancement in any sport. So WHY is there any question at all, about letting these men , that went through puberty as a male. That makes denser heavier bones and muscle, just a larger frame also (generally) Compete as a woman?? A DNA test should be the only one that counts. Women have works hard for any rights they have now , and their basic identity is now being challenged !!!
