I feel like it’s as simple as changing your own tire once you see how it’s done. Just a quick UA-cam search you’re most likely to find a video for your type of car that shows you how to change the air filter
Honestly they're so cheap, and get dirty so fast on the 1.5t I just change it 2x a year. Late winter early spring. Then late fall early winter. It's super easy to do, and filters are like $12.00. Good time to clean your MAF sensor as well. Don't pay a dealership to do a 3 minute job. 8mm socket, 4 bolts, done.
Hi I notice there’s three filter panels under the back seat. Do these too require servicing? They appear to be fixed plastic grills and not serviceable.
I don’t think those need servicing, I think they are for releasing pressure from the cabin like when you close the door so your windows don’t shutter from the sudden burst of air. I could be wrong though.
Not necessarily it all depends where u live and how u drive I replace my cabin and air filter every 6 months it’s $50 buck for both of ppl can’t afford that every half a year then they don’t deserve to own a car how I look at it
@@iitzpepsiiall depends on how many miles you ride in those 6 months, and how dirty the air is. If you live out in the country and driving 10k+ miles on gravel roads, yes you are going to need to replace filters more often. If you are in a city and driving 2k miles per 6 months, then sure LOOK at the filter but highly doubtful it needs to be replaced that often. Manufacturers suggest every 10k-15k miles (not months) -- replace more often if in dusty areas.
There’s a brand (I think called car quest which go for about $12 for most cars. Best value but you’re right average price of engine air filters is about $17’sh then goes up from there depending with the brand. OEM is always more expensive.
It's best to change the air filter yourself.

“For a low price of 69.69 come to your best Honda dealer for a filter change”
As a Honda tech, 150 after tax*, it’s fucking insane.
Or jsut do it yourself
That's robbery. Ridiculous. I'll change people's for 20 😂 jk
@@heatseeker_ Just changed mine for $13.
Man I don't think mine has changed for over 70k miles. I gotta get on it
SAME

Wouldnt it be better to change it right after all the massive pollen is gone ?
@@mibz1117 I do June 1st and December 1st.
This is so easy to replace, get it for $20 and do it yourself
Do you happen to know the name of the part that connects under the air filter box? It looks like a tank
25k Miles 🤯😢 … highly recommended once every 3 oil change ( earlier depending on driving environment) or 15,000 mls / 24,000 KM .
Do you have a video on how to change a 2011 honda pilot engine air filter
easy
@@Freight-bw9wdagreed. Its 4 latches that come off.
You're literally on UA-cam right now - search for it lol
The 23 accord hybrid I think you have to take out some screws to get to the air filter on my other cars it was just clips smh.
I change every time when I change oil
I have to change the damn thing every 6 months. Im not driving through a sandstorm or dirt roads.
Hey there guys
I change mine, cabin and air filter every oil change 3k miles
That’s just wasting money
Overkill
Waste of money
Big Big waste, it’s probably still 95% Clean😅
That’s stupid

I’ve noticed on my air filter oil from down side . Is it normal?
You got sludge in ur cranckcase and Pcv cant hold it so it pushes out through ur Intake hose
Dis you found out why? My one does too from the air inlet side from where the air is sucked in before the MAF sensor
That filter is not much bigger than a lawn mower’s air filter
So it's 2 years with honda
