Italy 2002 had Nesta injured in this game. Otherwise they destroy Korea. Italy's Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro defence was better than anything in Brazil 1970's.
Vieri should have received red card in 1st halfs 10 minute. If Vieri was sent off there was 0 goal for Italy Also Coco should have receiced yellow card at 2nd half's 15minute which would have made him sent out too for back-tackling Jisung Park If the ref was not bribed by Italy 2 players-Vieri and Coco- should have receiced red cards
Simone Sirtori you know? actually there is no bad call . and i know there are so many controversy, but i think it just you guys can't accept the consequence. so plz watch 90min whole game. and then let's talk about it
크리스크리스 I watched it live, I’m Italian so it’s obvious I watched that game and I remember it very well. Biggest shame in the football history. The referee, Moreno, admitted to have arranged the game and he is now in jail... South Korea 3rd at a World Cup? No way without money... 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
This elbowing was after 18 minutes.. if you watch the whole game, you will see that Italy played aggressively from the start. They brought bad Serie A habits to the world cup and got punished.
@ᆞ They win the 4th place cuz the didn't gave enough money to buy more ref, lmao. Spain deserves it's more, you can say whatever you want with the game against Italy (even if it as was a clear rob), but, Spain? What about that?
@@regiment589 So when was the last time Italy won EURO? 1968... Pretty ancient I would say. Were you even around in 1968? How about WC? Italy didn't make it to the elimination round of 16 in 2010, 2014, and in 2016 didn't even make it to the WC finals. Look, Vieri almost killed a player, Totti almost split another Korean player's face in half shortly after Vieri's elbow. FIFA started automatically red carding any elbows starting in 2006 WC because of these dirty Italian elbows in 2002 WC. That tells a lot. A side note, the doctor told Gus hidink that Kim Taeyoung (the guy who got elbowed by Vieri) be taken out of the game because one more hit to his nose would have ended his life on the field, that's how bad Vieri's intentional elbowing was. WHat did Vieri get for his intentional elbow? Not even a yellow card. The ref was heavily biased towards the Italian team that night.
@@Strange_26 Did you actually watch the game between Spain and S Korea? The best midfielder from the Korean team (Kim Namil) had his ankle chopped in half by Enrique Romero in the first half, it was an obvious red card, but the Egyptian referee didn't even give a yellow card. When Kim came out of the game, the flow of the game shifted towards Spain's favor. Kim was the dominating figure on Korean side, and he was the most important player in Korea's pressure-everywhere tactics. So stop whining.
Juan Ahumada and i really want to say one thing.and you guys have to know. you and people just never think about they were good team.and just underestimate them. so you guys just focus on referee.don't you? but 2002 korean team was very good and strong. and i think they deserve to win every game. actually they had played very good game with good team before the worldcup. and if you guys had won that game, what did you think about 02 worldcup? still it terrible? people just don't want to accept the result. because they lost to asian team. right? you and they just can't belive it and don't want to accept it. that's it.
So it's okay for you to say you too would have elbowed the Koreans due to poor calls, despite the fact that if you watch the full match, very little in the way of bad calls precede this elbowing incident, but when I point out the fact that Serie A tends to be a physically tougher league, it makes me a racist. Apologies for any offence caused, but my comment was in response to your initial inflammatory remark. Seriously, at least watch the full match up until this point before you comment.
@Jeepman89 Vieri elbow (red), Totti elbow (red not yellow), two Coco fouls on Park Ji-Sung (red). Italy players tackled a lot that game, and conceded a lot of FKs Korea dominated Italy in second half and extra time. Their equaliser came from Panucci's blunder 😂😂 and Vieri missed an open net but apparently the ref costed Italy the game hahha
@Jeepman89 the elbow to Del Piero happened when the latter also pulled the SK player's shirt. Italy committed 2 elbows. regarding the Kick on Maldini, not even one Italian player complained about it, and the referee's vision was blocked by SK and Italian players dueling for the Ball

@Juve No matter who sees it, They were intentional elbows. It's funny how Italians complain about cheating.

South korea did not deserve both wins against italy and spain. I can show you more dirty plays from korean team against italy in wc 2002.
