Working at home since COVID has definitely helped in keeping my waist line. But yeah, donuts since not being on site are not the same. I do get them for my grandkids donuts on occasion, but like you said I prefer the small Korean shops over the big chains, plus they have the sausage rolls. 😀
We used to bring in croissants to work on Fridays. In Geneva, Switzerland. And strawberry cake in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Each country their own favorites.
Donuts remind me of as a kid walking with my Mother to Laub's bakery in the 60s on 49th & Lorain Ave. to get some discounted day old donuts. We were poor and the donuts were a day old but tasted fine to us. I liked the cream sticks, long with chocolate icing filled with sugary cream
@BuzzRetirementGarage Buzz your videos are very unique. I'm 62, still working but I have some hobbies. I get lots of enjoyment from YT. Keep them coming. Thanks Brother!!
We had warmed up doughnuts last night for desert...it was really fun. Most of the time we just have a cookie or last month we would sneak one of the mini-Halloween candy bars out of the bowl. When I was hired as an apprentice, we were tasked with going and buying a box of doughnuts EVERY morning for the 6-7 guys on the crew. One of the Journeymen would hand you some cash...most of the time it was because they screwed something up the day before...and you would head to a store along the route to the job site and buy the doughnuts for the morning coffee break. Fun memories.

Oh yes!
will we see doughnuts in your next monthly budget update?!😂
Very likely!
Today is my 6-month anniversary of retirement. We always had sweets in the office, and I never had an issue with eating. Now, I eat clean and have dropped 40 pounds. I do miss donuts, but it sure feels good to be lean and mean.
Congratulations on 6 months! Fortunately after 13 months I haven't gained a lb. Same weight.
👍Being super healthy feels better than donuts taste.
@@mydanshi9683 No. Doughnuts 🍩 taste so good!
Cinnamon donut- small can of refrigerated biscuits, tear into 4-6 pieces each. Deep fry until golden, roll in cinnamon sugar mix.
That sounds amazing.
Boston Cream is my favorite too!
I got one and it was good!
What a GREAT title!!! LOL!!!!
They're not the same but I'll keep checking.
Kind of like how Taco Bell isn’t quite the same unless it’s 2:00 in the morning and you’re staggering into the place with a little bit of a “beer buzz” (no pun intended!) going………😂
Food does taste different at different times!
Not sure what you'd do with a dozen donuts? Easy, you eat 6 on Saturday and the remaining 6 on Sunday! That's what I do, but only about twice a year. I agree, work donuts were always something special.
I don't know if I could eat that much sugar. 3 doughnuts in one day is my record and that took all day.
Go get that donut. Thanks have a great day
Tomorrow!
I completely understand. We used to have donuts on occasion but also as a department we would have chili in crock pots for Chiefs red Friday and a summer grill out in the parking lot for employee appreciation once each summer. Yeah, miss those days.
Definitely put some sunshine in a workday!
I always said that if I was running the place I would ban cutting donuts in half. Those darn office ladies!
Yes and then they come back to eat another half! Kidding themselves only
@@martinaarriaga7753when nobody’s watching!!!
Who does that! That should be illegal in all 50 states!
Lol . I agree . In the Auto body trade in Rhode Island were I work for 38 years but I've always lived in Massachusetts on the line of Rhode Island . Dunkin' donuts and a box of joe was a common everyday thing from vendors . Plus Rhode Island Pizza strips . Google that . Big crowd pleaser at The body shop .
It made the day much better!
@BuzzRetirementGarage Definitely . Like I have said I have become disabled at 58 . I miss working and the interaction in the body shop . I actually have dreams at night we're I'm painting car's .
Working at home since COVID has definitely helped in keeping my waist line. But yeah, donuts since not being on site are not the same. I do get them for my grandkids donuts on occasion, but like you said I prefer the small Korean shops over the big chains, plus they have the sausage rolls. 😀
As long as you're getting what you like occasionally, you're doing well!
Hope u enjoyed that doughnut…🍩
Stayed out doing yardwork all day. Maybe tomorrow!
@ probably better 4 u in the long run. Could always have some yummy cinnamon toast one of my favs :)
We used to bring in croissants to work on Fridays. In Geneva, Switzerland. And strawberry cake in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Each country their own favorites.
Sadly, I'd enjoy all of them! Us Latvians like Honey Cake
I just had a bowl of fiber one and strawberry 🍓 no milk but spring water 😢 I miss donuts and coffee with sugar.
I can tell you things with my stomach have changed as I've gotten older.
@BuzzRetirementGarage quite frankly it's a bummer 😕
Eat cookies. Love your show Canada 🇨🇦.
Thank you. Cookies are good but..... doughnuts. Mmmm
Those bakeries made the best everything!
After 25 years of donuts in the office.
Everyone developed diabetes.
We stopped eating donuts after retirement.
My glucose has been 96 for 5 years. I think my doctor's lab has a stuck gizmo.
I miss the holes lol😂
Dude...... You're the Bomb.....😅
I hope you mean that in a good way. Lol
@BuzzRetirementGarage Buzz your videos are very unique. I'm 62, still working but I have some hobbies. I get lots of enjoyment from YT. Keep them coming. Thanks Brother!!
Now you have really made me want an old fashioned glazed donut !! Yep…that’s about the only thing I miss about work. 😅
Go get two!
Amazing how such a handful of goodness makes special memories.
For Thanksgiving, we would fry turkeys. 😋 Big lunchon.
I'd grill hotdogs for the employees but no turkey!
What a SWEET memory!!
Very SWEET! Lol
A great example of a smiling assassin. Here, have another donut pal...
I do need one.
Hello! Two things: Maybe get yourself a donut and the Mrs the pastry of her choice and enjoy it in each others company; second, trust me sometimes things change in the work place and nice things are a thing of the past and not yet retired! For me, my happy moment is my lunchtime LOL!
Lunchtime was my favorite part of working!
Donut and a cup of coffee!
Got the doughnuts a few hours ago!
