I have a standard Maxx Air Fan.... 2-100AH Battle Born Batteries and 600w of solar, On my Ram Promaster. Sometimes in the summer I leave my fan run for weeks at 50% just sitting i my drive way. Is this shortening the life of my batteries..? There always at 99% maybe in the morning 90%. Do these short cycles harm the battery? There 4 yrs old and never a problem....
I live in Maine. Summer nights go down to the low to mid 60s and normally I can run my window fan at 100% from 5AM until 8AM when the outside temp meets my inside temp [around 70]. I shut the windows and will stay cool enough [below 82] until around 2PM when I will put the A/C on. By 7-7:30PM it's usually cooled off that I open the windows and turn on the fan at 50% for 90 minutes for the night.
Have you looked at the Flettner vent system? delivery vans in western Europe are often equipped with these and don't require any power at all. It is wind powered and provides a quiet air flow. You need to add an air intake somewhere in the van to allow it to turn over the air in the van.
Maxxfan deluxe in the UK. I pretty much leave it on 24hrs a day! It circulates the air constantly which, I think, helps with condensation. It is maybe on 10 for an hour max at various times such as cooking.
Hey Nate, You should make a video about cheap electrical system for camper van. People who buy Victron don't care about 10 watt hours here and there.🤔😉😁
Actually, most people who buy victron typically take great pride in their projects which results in them wanting to be educated on how much power things use in an attempt to accurately size their system. That said, regarding your request: If you watch our videos with an open mind and think critically, you'll find that you'll come away with the knowledge needed to build a functional electrical system with whatever brand of components you like. Wiring a Victron MPPT will be 95% the same as any other MPPT on the market. That said, I strongly hesitate to build a 'cheapest of the cheap' system on this channel because viewers will think I recommend those no-name fly-by-night brands, which I don't; but like I said, with an open mind; the education I'm teaching here can be adopted to any brand that you want to build your system around.

Im use the same AirMaxx Deluxe in my cargo van. Usual turn in on overnight, 10-20% speed, for fresh air.

Don't use the bathroom after the sun goes down, you may drain your battery.😂😂😂
Measure in gallons? What about litres that much of the world uses! 😜
Google 'Gallons to Liters' much like I do when I have to go from liters to gallons 😉
