I’ve always have alfalfa sprouts on the go. Last week I picked up some seeds to try sunflower and pea greens for the first time. The sunflowers are day 5 growing. Had one today and taste delicious even though they need about five more days to grow. I like your video because you described why greens are so good for us. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Hi Lisa, that's great! So easy to grow right? And an incredibly easy way to pack in a LOT of nutrients. Happy to have inspired and hope you'll subscribe for more videos like this :)
I always shop. At our local farmers market and I decided to just buy micro greens instead of buying organic lettuce since I want to get the most nutrients that I can in my diet! I love them so much.. I split the container with my husband and I… so delicious!❤
Today is the first time I heard of micro greens. I want to find out about them but I like the search to be quick and simple to understand. I wonder if micro greens come in easy to swallow capsules. I would like to find the answer to a simple way to get vegetable nutrients into my son and myself for better health. He doesn’t hardly eat vegetables or fruit and it concerns me. He doesn’t really crave them either! First time viewing your channel. You seem to explain things simply. I will check out your videos. Thank you!
I have been eating broccoli sprouts that are mature, including the roots. They are grown on a 4 tray sprout system. I eat my broccoli sprouts on top of homemade sourdough bread that has been toasted with herbed sour cream and a whole sliced avocado. It is delicious. I eat this for breakfast now, almost every morning. What is the actual difference between broccoli sprouts and broccoli microgreens?
Hi Victoria, that is great! And the dish you described sounds delicious! Sprouts and microgreens look similar but they actually express different stages of growth. Given that microgreens are formed at an earlier stage, they are have a much greater concentration of nutrients; thus, you only need a small amount each day to supercharge your diet. Does that make sense?
@@taylorwessel The broccoli sprouts I grow look like microgreens but do not have any soil medium. The roots attach to each other and the tray. I rinse water through them about three times a day and the water goes down to the other trays. They still produce standing greens with open leaves. It might just be that my sprouts have turned in to microgreens.
I’m glad I ran across your channel. My brother suggest I start growing micro greens so I jumped on UA-cam and found your channel. Great information! I’m definitely going to begin growing these!
Hey Keeya, so happy to have inspired you to grow microgreens! Including these in your diet is one of the easiest ways to get tons of nutrients in. Hope you explore my other videos - lots of good info on many topics :)
May i correct you, It goes SPROUTS MICROGREENS ADULT PLANT 🥰 As a commercial grower, I’d like to clarify so people are not confused. Other than that, great video! Thanks for sharing ☺️☺️

I love sprinkling microgreens over an avocado with chopped tomato, a little olive oil and a dash of salt 😋

Interesting…is it a hydroponic system?
@@taylorwessel No. Just trays. You fill the top tray and it drains down to all the other trays. Each tray fits the next tray.
@@weloveourkittens Well, it sounds like a nice and convenient system. Glad you’ve found something that works for you!
Very informative video.
It would help if you had a better recording set up for audio.
