My favourite channel by a country mile. You guys are so natural in front of the camera and your narratives are given without the need for fancy editing. Don't stop doing what you're doing
In my opinion, the best overlanding channel. This is what overlanding is so posed to be. No bragging about the most expensive equipment you can buy, just a wonderful family exploring and creating memories😍 Please keep up the good work! Cheers from Sweden!
Stumbled across this channel a little while ago and now is one of my top 5.. Love how u go with the flow and let little miss live life as kids should. Keep up the good work and safe travels.
Whoever is doing on the ground camera filming is a legend, as vehicles pass by. Legendary! Awesome. The video editing with this channel makes me feel like I am having the adventure with you guys. Shoutout to the camera peep!
Hey guys, you rock, this has been my favourite channel so far, point to note is when handling barra is to stick your hand straight in there mouth and let the fish clamp down on your hand, DO NOT try and pick them up by there gills as they have very sharp gills which they use for defence,,
You are brave souls. My wife and I owned a number of VW’s over the years, and seeing you go off-road like you have is amazing to see just how tough they are. You must be a hell of a mechanic!!! Great videos, loving the adventure, and your daughter is a heck of a trooper!
Most croc attacks occur within 20 metres of the water line. If you remain at the same campsite for more than 2 nights the next morning is absolute danger as the croc has figured out your movements and has developed his attack strategy. When fishing for Bara use heavy duty tackle especially in steep slope retrievals. I hope you continue to make these interesting travel videos. God bless.
Maxine has got to be the best navigator, I’d love to have her sitting shotgun with me any old day of the week. 🥰 VWs forever! I had mud flats like those where we lived and had some of the best times driving the VW along them! What got me started with my VW obsession was a primary school teacher I had who would drive his chopper to school and started taking us kids out on camping trips in it, those were different times of course and we learnt more about science by seeing some of the best Australian National Parks with him than we ever would have in a class room. The best bit for me Karstan was the how you didn’t rack up all that Karma by killing the massive Barramundi! 😅 Well done and how does she ever digest raw pasta like that 😂 Where are you guys now? Because this is obviously old film. You don’t have to let on.
We just finished the Gibb and took the Karunjue Track from the other end. Yep an epic track. We towed our small camper trailer. Easy to get lost out there, luckily we didn't. We are in Derby now getting ready for out leg down the west coast.
Hi guy's, just enjoying a Coppers in our Kombi in the main street of Nambucca Heads ....there's a million V-dubs here at the VW Spectacular today , it'd make you smile for sure....happy people everywhere. Thanks for doing such a great job of showcasing Kombi life...it's just not ordinary, is it !! Keep hammering out the episodes guys , we are loving it.
HOLY MOLY IVE BEEN FISHING FOR YEARS I COULD ONLY DREAM OF DOING WHAT YOU HAVE DONE.BEEN WATCHING FOR A WHILE JUST SUBSCRIBED ,FANTASTIC,FANTASTIC. MIKE--FROM PAKENHAM,VICTORIA
I loved everything. The scenery, especially of the Cockburn Range, very interesting geology! The drone shots, and scaring that big croc back into the river. tee hee. The boab trees. the birds, the barra, the waterlilies... and you guys! What a treat on a cold rainy Friday.
Hello. Just came across this channel!! Best channel from Australia I have ever seen and I have watched many. You guys are awesome and enjoy every minute. Keep up the good work you will go far here for sure!! Please don’t change what you do. People are watching because of what your doing now. I see too many UA-cam channels upgrade to better things and change when they start doing well. Please keep it real and raw just like it is! This is why more and more people are navigating to these type channels. Just my 2 cents! Cheers!!
Hey mate, really appreciate the comment. We love sharing our travels, comments like yours inspire us to keep doing what we are doing. Thanks for watching.
Thoroughly enjoyed this episode. It's a great part of the country. We were fortunate enough to do the Karunjie Track in 2006. It's much more navigatable going from Wyndam to the Gibb
Hey mate it was great to meet you in the caravan park in Kununurra the other day. Sorry to see the beast on the back of the tilt tray. Hope it’s up and running again soon.
Loved it guys another awsome adventure keep them rolling, and nice long vidio, can't wait till the next vidio, u guys are Awsome and karstan finally got his Barra lol. 🙂
Congratulations on catching 2 huge Barramundi, vast open mud flat out there, looking forward to seeing Digger's Rest. They were easy tracks compared to some you's have tackled to date. Loving your Series- Episode's
"Please subscribe to our Channel", mate you didn't need to ask. I just came across you guys...how the hell have I not seen your channel before?? The little one's look on her face crunching the dry pasta - priceless. Yeah, yeah, the barras were epic, the scenery and locations absolutely effen amazing, but the look on her face! You guys are absolutely inspiring. Keep it up and thank you!! Now look what you've done - I have a lot of binge watching to do to catch up!
sorry...how many 1 metre Barra did you catch...ha ha !! There are established You Tubers that claim to be the biggest/best/longest 4x overland channels that don't do what you guys do in a two wheel drive combi, its real, its raw, its exciting to watch...another great ep
We did the Karunjie Track in June. We thought it would be an interesting short cut back to Wyndum after a morning at El Questro. Some short cut! 6 1/2 hours to get to Wyndum. Lots of backtracking. We read that first gate sign as though we couldn't go that way, we spent more than hour looking for the 'correct' track only to return to that sign and re-read that we could proceed. I'm sure its purposely confusing so you won't use track.
33:45 If you mount your CB antenna on your roof (rather than the bullbar) you'll get better reception/longer reach, even with a low dbi antenna. Ronny Dahl did a good video comparison.
Can you tell me is the vw 4x4 because where you go with this is insane 😳 it brings back memories of doing it real, not in something no one can afford 🤙🤣 love it guy's, keep on bugging ha ha! Out. 🤪👍
Ah, so glad you did this! We did the Karunji Track in 2019, from Wyndham to the Pentacost and got seriously bogged in the bull dust! We had to be winched out by a German guy camping on the river about a kilometre away from us! The billabongs were dry that year after 2 terrible wet seasons but the track itself was definitely an adventure! Love your channel 🙌🙌
Awesome channel mate. Shout out from the old Scots days in the central west. Keep the content coming and keep the adventures going! Living the dream :)
 you crazy pair of buggas! Lovin' what you do . I have carted cattle south along the Gibb river road -- long time ago. The lead driver missed the gear in a sand creek crossing . Impossible the dig out as the water just washed more sand in around the wheels . He nicked a grader to put the double r/train out lol bush road fork--- if you go the wrong way you see country you weren't going to see . Crack and dry looking flats tip . Don't make tracks ; follow the tracks that are already there ;) . Turning around can catch the unweary out in unseen bottomless mud . Dry looking salt lakes are a bigger danger. Stay safe while I look forward to your next adventure . Yep; I'm still jealous :)
@@KarstanAndMaxine you cannot do better than carting livestock see places tourist don't see or know even about --- or want to know about  ! . So much more "too see" from way up in a truck cab but "my drives" were so different than today --- very like your 'does the job' van Vs today's monster (****) 4x4 "trucks"
Hahaha… I did this track a few years ago… from the Wyndham end. Got totally lost and bogged twice. Finally got to ElQuestro at 10pm. Grand adventure but a GPS would have come in handy for sure 😎 Love your videos ❤️
You guys are the best channel on you tube atm..... I believe that Barra was only 65.....didn't see it on the measuring pad.... lmao.....great job guys...
G'day folks. I stumbled on to your channel and like what I see, so subscribed. Like your kombi too. You got a bit of a gutsy looking set of wheels there. Back in the crazy 60s, I read about some bloke creating a halftrack kombi. I believe the thinking behind the idea, was to use in snow, but I think also sand and mud.? Not sure if it ever got used. Maybe a great idea for where you are. Anyway take care. And from across the ditch here in EnZed, Atb.
How come you only have 15,000 subscribers, yours is one of the best and funniest channels, love it 🥰
Haha THANK YOU!! We are new to UA-cam..!!! Thanks for the compliment 👍🏻

The 'Barra' went back in the drink , yessss !!!
No 4WD BS , no fish killing heroics , it just gets better 😉 .
Watching you closely from South Africa.Love your content

My husband had 3 combis back in the 80s in London. He never thought they may be capable of this. Fab.
Barra makes me wana do this track, multiple roads with potential of mudflats bogs does not!
Well done 🤙🏾
100% mine and my partners favorite UA-cam channel! We can’t wait for your vids to come out, please keep it up, we love it!!

Very true. You can also carry two. One for long distance, makes a big difference on flat terrain.
Love your channel. Nice music track and natural dialogue. Can feel the dry heat through the lense. Great exploring!
