So many amazing bottles! I love all of the really teeny ones. And Paul kept pulling out fancy things. I’m always trying to imagine the backstory. Like with the Cruet (spelling??). It was perfect. Not a crack or a chip. So I try to think about why in the world would the lady of the house throw it out? The jugs seem to be whole also. So why would they throw them away? I’m sure they’d get a kick out of all of us being excited to see their garbage come out of the ground. lol. Good dig! Hugs to Shelley.

Hi Angela, you are always in our thoughts and prayers! It sure would be fun to go back in time and be a picker from their landfill. ha ha Just to find out what did they do with all the marbles? hugs back to you, keep in touch friend!

Nice gallon stoneware jug and jar. You don’t sound so winded by the end of the video. We should probably name the backhoe. He does work hard. 😊

Dave you and Paul had one heck of a day. The jugs were outstanding along with so many embossed bottles. And other goodies. That tiny amber bottle was my favorite. That big tree needs to go, I bet more jugs are under it. The back hoe was a very good investment. Say Hi to Shelley.👍😀👏

At a revival meeting while sitting next to mom the lady beside her lost her teeth in the ladies bouffant hairdo. Mom was trying 😅 not to laugh while dad nugeg her to sush. The lady gently retrieved her teeth and put them back in her mouth as if nothing happened. So when I got my dentures years later my brain wouldn't let me forget that. Leta.. oh memories

Another great video, but i have a question, have you tried digging down through what you call the bottom? When wouldn't it be nice if that was a cap for an older dump site? who knows, could be a lot Of open or iron pontils.. wishful thinking???😁😁

Why does it always look bone-dry in that dump, doesn't it ever rain there? most of the dumps i dig in western Mass are soggy all the time🍾

the trees block some raiin and that hill is so steep, maybe it just runs right down to the creek

As an old bottle digger of yesteryear myself, I have some suggestions for your channel.
    1. Produce some HOW-TO videos. Show the full process you go thru in finding a dump to dig, starting from what goes on in your head, to contacting the land owner, and then how to know where to actually dig. Perhaps give some history, like besides filling up old privies, how did people historically get rid of their trash, and where.
    2. It hurts to see you dig with metal implements, with the likelihood of breaking your finds before you pull them out. Maybe you have a method to prevent that? Terrible feeling pulling out a good find and realizing that you probably chipped, cracked or broke it making it worthless. I think mason jars and milk bottles are often lost that way.
    3. People don't like dirt, but they LOVE watching something get clean. You should edit your videos so that right after you pull a bottle, identify it as best you can and read it, then INSERT a video clip from later where you actually wash the bottle in the sunlight, including how to wash the inside. Give the people that satisfying feeling of producing the final product.
