It is very helpful content. But the timestamps took it to a whole new level (bad pun intended). Used it even after I reached level 70, to see the Necro scythes (haven't played it for 2 years).
Note: I forgot to mention Demon Hunter when talking about low-level gambling. They have nothing good at low level - just go for Leoric's. You *can* wait until level 31 and try to get a quiver, but by that point you're getting diminishing returns. Your choice! ALSO: For crafting the level 70 reduced level requirement weapon, if you're a DH, go with a 1-handed mace. Bows and xbows roll Discipline as a secondary property, and we want to avoid that.
I was just about to comment "you forgot about DH..." Good catch :) They can gamble Wraps of Clarity for damage reduction. Good for HC players like myself.
@@whateverfloatsyourboat4586 but you have to have a witch doctor in season with rank 12 smith, wich you wont have if you main dh since you use your materials there xd

My favorite part of the season grind is the first few days when everyone is at an even playing field. Been playing since day 1 and have to say that after watching this video, speed grindinhr was my absolute favorite experience in a long time! You sped me up so much and I am grateful for your help. thanks for this man. me and my friend got to level 70 in our fastest time ever from these tips. most helpful was the crafting a level reduction weapon. I knew it was a thing but didn't bother because of all the possible affixes it could roll before. was able to do it this season thanks to this guide
@Corpsefoot Gaming better trading, better looting, better multiplayer, better UI. PoE it's like playing in 2020 the best game ever made for 1990s, you still play it because it's good, but the shit from the 1990s engine annoys you so much that you praise for a remake.
It is worth mentioning that you should transmog EVERYTHING you plan to keep so you don't accidentally sell it. Just pick the cheapest one. Also keep all the low level uniques that you find that have any cube value. They might be useless to wield at 70 but you can still cube their powers when you have the mats available! Also, Act V Adria and act II Temple of the First Born work very well for massacre farming so you don't have to remake as often. There is also a very common cursed chest in A2 Temple of the First Born close to the beginning.
@Van Damage I remember a time when I was a petulant child and thought my games were superior to other people's. You'll get there eventually, little buddy :)
@Van Damage But harvest has been out for ages.. Completed all content, dropped a HH. Time to spent a nice chill weekend levelling and putting together a build whilst drinking beer with friends and using zero brain power. Nothin' wrong with that.
Longtime watcher, first-time commenter. Semi-casual but only seasonal hardcore player here. Thanks for putting this together! It's huge having the youtube markers in each for each of these, and thank you for quickly going through each classes gambling/crafting items! I often find these piecemeal and it's a bunch of tabs open while I'm trying to level.
That tip about doing the challenge rift first thing, that was a game-changer. I don't play often and may be out of touch but that was the first time I had seen that tip and it completely changed how I started off the season. For a very much casual, on-again/off-again player, your tips got me to full Headrig's gift as a necromancer in 7.5 hours (with some afk downtime in there... Had to take care of the child... lol) Thanks! You prove time and time again that there's a really good reason so many people come to you for Diablo tips :)
very helpful guide! very well explained, honestly the best on youtube! thanks man for putting the time and effort to putting this together really appreciate it!
I've tried that area, but isn't the xp for those spiders so small that you basically need a 3 or 4x higher massacre bonus to get the same xp as skeletons or zombies? Just seems kinda like the old saying of 100 x nothing = nothing. Personally, I tend to go to Act 3, Sech way point, then head right to The Eternal Woods. I do also use Fields tho. Typically takes me just under 2 hours to hit 70 using something similar to Rhykkers method.
I've tried Adrias zone but found Fields of Misery to be the best because it's so open- you just have to avoid the "coves" and the dead beast area as they're basically deadzones. One of the coves has a 100 kill chest but it's one of the worst chests of that kind, it's also sometimes replaced by the named tree event (which isn't really worth doing). Problem with Adria's area is lots of walls, doors, and closed spaces that can easily drop your bonus. Fields is very good for keeping your massacre throughout, especially if you have a turret/pet that can smack things as you move and a good long range attack. DH always felt the quickest because of their natural speed skills (roll + speed boost passive) plus plenty of ranged attacks and turrets. Just be careful there if you go to torment difficulty in HC as there is a keywarden that can kill you pretty easily (since you have crap gear).
This was really great. I hadn't played this game in years & recently got it on Switch to play over holidays/ quarantine. Turns out I didn't remember anything lol 💕
You can also killstreak in temple of the firstborn. It has roughly a 50% chance of containing a cursed chest that has the 100 enemy requirement, along with a lot of small enemies and decent density, so you can chain a huge killstreak. My record is over 500 kills in one streak. Also, Necromancer can level to 70 in about 1 hour if you get the "perfect" start. They have aoe abilities from a really low level, so they cut out a huge portion of the leveling process. For many classes, the first 20-30 levels take forever. The great thing about necro is that it is incredibly good at clearing mobs, so it's feasible to be on T6 for most of the leveling process, which significantly boosts your leveling speed.
Another tip, if the legendary weapon created at the beginning of the guide does not have a good property to extract, instead it can be used in the process of reducing the level requirement. The advantage is greater damage and can reduce more than 30 lvl, if I'm not mistaken it reduces 40 lvls, and if by any chance its an ancestral weapon than its definitly worth going for the reducing of the level requirement, since that property will roll at max and the weapon dmg ill be a lot higher
I recommend doing Nephalem Rifts only once you find Nemesis Bracers. Progress is much slower without them, the cache-specific crafting materials will come in handy when upgrading legendary items, and completing each act's bounties will advance your season journey..
Damn, a LOT of small tips that I never heard about in this video that ultimately lead to a much quicker jumpstart. Thanks a lot ! The websites are also a big help.
One thing to add to this great video is you will almost always get a Leoric's Crown within the first few legendary drops. Not sure if it's planned by blizzard or not but 5 out of 5 seasons i leveled recently i got a crown on my first legendary drop at the start of a season. This is not 100% proven but others have said the same. If you don't want to go kill Leoric in the story mode you will likely pick one up early on in your rifting. If anyone has any information confirming or busting this please respond so people have the best information possible.
Err .. I thought you have to play the whole game aka all five chapters before being able to select the challenge and adventure mode? How do you start already with everything unlocked in Tristram?
If you are a Witch Doctor, instead of uping a ceremonial Knife at level 1, you can do a staff and hope for Wormwood. Cubed Wormwood is pretty epic for leveling.
Alright, honestly. Not that into diablo. Figured Id hop back in and try to level a character. But this video is probably the best tutorial I have seen for any game. Very well done!
Thanks for the guide just got into following build guides and speed leveling in this game its pretty awesome Not sure why Diablo 3 is so fun its one of the games you cant stop playing lol.
If you get bastion's (10 stacks + aoe) as barb, don't go for bracers, but belts (The Undisputed Champion) which buffs frenzy and you gain all runes at once for it + 300-400% more damage. If you get it, try for depth diggers at level 60.
Wow! I knew about TeamBRG for Set Dungeons, but I'm definitely checking their other stuff! BTW: Instead of Alt-Tabbing away from D3 to see this video, or d3resources, having a printable summary on your desk can make things much easier. Just remember that printers don't handle "dark theme" very well... Thanks again, for a great guide!

Hey thanks man, this season is the fastest I ever leveled to 70, thanks to this guide. I've always just muddled through at a snail's pace, which was fun and fine, but I really enjoyed following this structure. It only took me 5 1/2 hours to get to 70, which is a record for me (and slow for everyone else, haha).
I forgot to mention, I never did roll the "reduce level requirement" secondary stat, even after following your advice and making sure the weapon had a crowd control stat to begin with. It only ever rolled +max essence or +life after kill. So I never got the benefit of a level 70 weapon before level 70. Oh well, them's the breaks!
Only time I do is if it's been a day and I wasn't able to start day 1 of season. Day two usually has plenty of people willing to boost you because they are already 70+ 500 Para.
Great guide for most as usual. Since I started doing HC to make things more interesting, I go the route outside the cleavers for sure lol. But outside of that, this is basically what I use. Doing DH this season I'll try for a 31 quiver on gambling, 3 out of 4 are good potential options there.
Rhykker, how dare you leak all my totally-super-duper-secret leveling strats! Now the Diablo community will become better players on average! >:( For real though, great guide, glad you're bringing these tips to further popularity, I've used a lot of these strats for a number of seasons now and even I learned a few things (controlling the affixes for secondary weapons properties was a great shout). Great guide again, good luck to everyone in the new season
For crusader I would suggest you gamble for heart of iron with blood shards - if you cube it thorns will scale off strength and vitality underpinning the build if you have shards left go for shield as well. I wouldn't waste time upgrading a rare weapon better to save deaths breath to give you the option of cubing legendarys if they drop while leveling. Also you may as well switch to completing all 5 bounties at about lvl 50 - you have to do them anyway, you should switch to 4 piece almost straight away from 70 if you do this.
After challenge rift and grabbing follower weapon I usually go for a master difficulty kill on Zoltun Kulle or Maghda, pretty easy to get to and you get a bunch of rare drops and get lvl 3-4, then drop back to hard and follow the path described here.
@@jaye2315 You only need to do that once on your account and then the challenge rifts will be unlocked forever. You don't need to unlock the challenge rift every new season. :)
I followed your S21 plan and it's full proof. I chose a wizard for shits and giggles and rolled a teleport buff wish it was better but whatever. thanks again!
My process : Play through the story mode, turning up difficulty till fighting elites gets sketchy. Check my gear for any intriguing possibilities, start rifting if I'm interested in going for a build; if not switch classes and play through the game again.
I'd suggest you to wait for quivers : lvl 31 for Holy Point Shot, or lvl 34 for The Ninth Cirri Satchel(if you plan to play the new set) ! The bracers mentioned by luke doesn't give any dmg boost, if you want to play HC, go for what luke said :D.
FYI - was just going by RAX latest vid. The wraps help with damage reduction in hardcore or staying alive during T6 leveling with the axes: ua-cam.com/video/MFLAIecF_sE/v-deo.html
Noob question: I started a seasonal character, I didn't do the challenge yet, but loaded into game, I don't see followers anywhere or how to skip t act 3 to get cube. Is all this possible only if you already have a level 70?
I'm pretty much on the same boat. I just came back after like a multiple years hiatus and to top it off, I'm deaf. So I have absolutely no idea how they're leveling that fast or getting their sets.
@@TOXRaizou I figured it out, at the start menu in game settings change it to adventure mode instead of campaign, it unlocks all areas and shows the followers. You can then follow some of the other suggestions.
You might want to add one more step - before even going for the cube - check to see if the Zoltan Kulle or Maghda boss kill bounty is up. It's a super easy kill on Master, gets you a couple of levels, plus some yellow gear that you can use. From there, just drop down the difficulty and get the cube.
this is a tip for alts azurewrath sword hellfire amulet LoD gem highest level u can get it then t6 walk though any where where there's lots of undead most of them just melt I forgot to mention high level GeM of ease in the sword
I've just gotten back into D3, never really did anything other than the campaign before, what does he means by "remake the game" (13:10)? Is it just simply logging out and back in?
Well considering it takes only a few hours to max lvl without using a guide and all the xp bonuses. You really don't even need to use a guide lol. I'm just here to tell everyone d2>d3
One thing I do is all of the bounties, instead of just Act 1. It may increase your time to get to 70, but I think it reduces the time to get all of Haedrig's gifts and get your full set. But I also don't worry about trying to set a new speed record to 70 every season. I just have fun playing the game.
I usually just do rifst on public games, more often than not you will find someone who has some damage multiplier, that will just carry the whole group through the rift, i was always that person, cause i always start barb and get 1-2 damage multipliers from the mighty weapon and bracer , but a lot of times i have people in my party that do good as well. This way in about 2-3 hours you can get to 70. You can also pick some mats along the way. And try to get leoric's crown as early as you can.
Ty for this. I got lucky with my necro and got the essence damage increase legendary. Still took forever to level but it was more lack of increased movement speed than difficult combat. So spoiled with poe. As an uncle i suffer for my niece and nephew.
I very rarely need to steal my follower's weapon, because I generally can buy a better weapon from a vendor in one of the acts with all of the gold from the challenge rift reward. Early on in leveling, the follower's damage is actually kinda useful. Also, for S22, WD has a better option than ceremonial knives for upgrading a rare. Upgrade a 1H spear for a 50% chance of getting a Scrimshaw, which now has a huge multiplier for Zombie Charger.
I see Rhykker: I click.
I see guide: I click.

For real though, great guide, glad you're bringing these tips to further popularity, I've used a lot of these strats for a number of seasons now and even I learned a few things (controlling the affixes for secondary weapons properties was a great shout). Great guide again, good luck to everyone in the new season
Great guide! The most helpful part I learned was enchanting manipulation; had no idea how to increase your odds of reducing level requirement 👍
This content is so good. Even after all these years there's something new even old players can learn from you.
The "bravo" thing made my day. Thanks!
Also you may as well switch to completing all 5 bounties at about lvl 50 - you have to do them anyway, you should switch to 4 piece almost straight away from 70 if you do this.
bog roll yes heart or iron is op on the horsey
After challenge rift and grabbing follower weapon I usually go for a master difficulty kill on Zoltun Kulle or Maghda, pretty easy to get to and you get a bunch of rare drops and get lvl 3-4, then drop back to hard and follow the path described here.
How r u supposed to do challenge rift when it won't let u do it until u do greater rift that u can't do till lvl 70?
@@jaye2315 You only need to do that once on your account and then the challenge rifts will be unlocked forever. You don't need to unlock the challenge rift every new season. :)
I started a new guy cuz I wanted to try some things and it won't let me do challenge rift til lvl 70. Don't understand..
The only thing I can see is because I started a new character. I thought it would start new but it doesn't.
@@jaye2315 news accounts must complete the campaign
I already know all of this stuff but still enjoy watching these videos
I followed your S21 plan and it's full proof. I chose a wizard for shits and giggles and rolled a teleport buff wish it was better but whatever. thanks again!
One of the most important videos for D3.
My process : Play through the story mode, turning up difficulty till fighting elites gets sketchy. Check my gear for any intriguing possibilities, start rifting if I'm interested in going for a build; if not switch classes and play through the game again.
Great guide. Thanks a zillion for creating such excellent content for us!
You didn't mention DH in the "Visit Kadala" section for gambling? What should a DH go for when gambling?
Bracers - Wraps of Clarity, Helm - Leoric's Crown, Ring - Leoric's Signet
www.d3planner.com/game/60803/kadala (Change level to 1)
I'd suggest you to wait for quivers : lvl 31 for Holy Point Shot, or lvl 34 for The Ninth Cirri Satchel(if you plan to play the new set) ! The bracers mentioned by luke doesn't give any dmg boost, if you want to play HC, go for what luke said :D.
Whoops! They have nothing good at level 1, so go for Leoric's. You can wait, as Tzoruk says, for level 31 or 34 for quivers, if you want.
FYI - was just going by RAX latest vid. The wraps help with damage reduction in hardcore or staying alive during T6 leveling with the axes:

Rhykker awesome, thanks. Keep up the hard work.
9:02 actually go for rings if you feel lucky. If you get a goblin rift it is really nice
Superb guide Rhykker, thank you very much!
You can then follow some of the other suggestions.
good tips as usual. best balance of fun, variety and speed
Thanks Rhykker! Saves me the trouble of finding a guide on Reddit :D
Your mic is sounding so good! I could listen to it all day 🤤
This leveling guide was awsome and saved me so much time. Is there a guide for season journey once you hit lvl 70?
Grind until your thumbs fall off
You might want to add one more step - before even going for the cube - check to see if the Zoltan Kulle or Maghda boss kill bounty is up. It's a super easy kill on Master, gets you a couple of levels, plus some yellow gear that you can use. From there, just drop down the difficulty and get the cube.
Yeah it's a no brainer. Kull is really fast to do too!
Best way: run goblin seeds, do bounties until you have good enough gear to run rifts, repeat over and over again till season ends
So much frickin information, only half way through video then he said "ok, now when u reach level 7" 🤯
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the explanation and this guide building up
this is a tip for alts azurewrath sword hellfire amulet LoD gem highest level u can get it then t6 walk though any where where there's lots of undead most of them just melt I forgot to mention high level GeM of ease in the sword
I've just gotten back into D3, never really did anything other than the campaign before, what does he means by "remake the game" (13:10)? Is it just simply logging out and back in?
Fantastic guide, 2000+ hours played and half of that never occurred to me lol
Well considering it takes only a few hours to max lvl without using a guide and all the xp bonuses. You really don't even need to use a guide lol. I'm just here to tell everyone d2>d3
@@nathanmcleod9497 no
@@dustintheslayer yup
Nathan McLeod exactly.... it’s not like you don’t hit max level within the first 4-5 hours, if you don’t, you are doing something wrong
@@nathanmcleod9497 nope
One thing I do is all of the bounties, instead of just Act 1. It may increase your time to get to 70, but I think it reduces the time to get all of Haedrig's gifts and get your full set. But I also don't worry about trying to set a new speed record to 70 every season. I just have fun playing the game.
Superb guide !
Excellent work!
Great job as usual - thanks!
Bro I've been playing D3 since vanilla, and like a idiot, I've been leveling the hard way, via rifts.
Damn. Thank you for this.
In section 6, 08:19 , which item to gamble as a DH?
Great guide Rhykker!
Saw this, got excited, fired up Diablo 3.
Fuck the season starts next Friday
I always get Cains 2 XP set bonus and Borns Set bonus ASAP, helps speed up levelling quite a bit on your first Char
That was a really good and comprehensible guid (i am a new player and i understood)
