Thank you so much for this detailed tutorial. I had no idea this new feature even existed. I think you might be my go-to for tutorials in Nomad now! What a time saver
I love that we can now make and save out own custom brushes. There are a few artists out there making Brush Pack in a similar way to ZBrush or Procreate and it's worth downloading a few to see how people are making them. Let me know about any brushes that you have made.
Thanks, Glen. I tried repeatedly to make a "Hair" brush with just a triangular alpha. It wasn't until I chose the Layer brush that it looked even remotely decent. Choosing the correct base brush is so important. There are probably other ways to do it, but that was my experience. At least I discovered multiple ways to NOT create one!
Could i have some advice on what are the best steps to follow when making high detailed work in terms of when and where to use subdivide, resmesh and decimate? I know what those tools are and what they do, but i dont know when is the best time to implement them. especially when using dyntopo for the beginning stages of low detailing. If you have a video on this already id love to know. I would like to do as much detail and realism as i can on an ipad pro but i would like to keep my ram and vertices to a workable amount without much lag or crashing. I would also like to add ive been using you curve tool method to make character base mesh that have a similar feel to zspheres. So far im using dyntopo for the low detailing but now i dont know what the next steps are to follow. My end goal is to 3dprint so i dont know if that plays a factor in certain steps to follow.
Thank-you very nice to know brushes can be made for this. Comijg from cad this looks fun.

Nice one! Cheers squire!
You are very welcome.
Very helpful, thanks!
is there a way to create a heightmap from a sculpt in nomad to then use as an alpha?

So the spline setting is the go to for make details more intense
Very useful video. Thanks for posting. I love Nomad.
Glad it was helpful! And Nomad is absolutely brilliant!
Might just be me, but the resource hub doesn't seem to work on mobile, FYI.
Thank you, Glen. ✊☕️🎩
You are welcome John. I've been super busy recently and it's been hard sitting down and getting videos out.
@@SouthernGFX Well we appreciate them. I always learn so much.
But how did you create the drawing for the brush? Is it just an imported black and white image?
Yup
I use procreate to create Alphas
@7:48 Hi SouthernGFX.. How did you add a new color hex format, before the video transition over?
Tap the color number next to your desired color below metalness. I figured it out.😊

Not sure but I’ll make one. I am building a huge free pack for the resource hub.
@@SouthernGFX i would really apreciate that! Thank you very much!
@@SouthernGFX hi, i couldn't find this alpha-brush set on the course site, it wasn't published?
