Congrats brother. I’m 29 15T in a Blackhawk unit just got my GT to a 121 and will be taking the sift next Monday the 7th. Then will be putting my packet together while I’m overseas! Congrats again!
@@merrittorius I never talked to my Warrant recruiter in person so he did not know that I wore glasses. After mentioning it to him, I'm currently looking for an optometrist that does a specific eye exam that I need done in order to be even seen by a Flight Surgeon. After that I will send the results to my nearest Flight Surgeon here in PA. So that cut into my time studying and booking a date for the SIFT at the base I drill at. Hoping my results don't disqualify me.
Thank you for you answer, you really motivate me,I'm 32,and just about sending my packet and confused about the age waivers, good luck for everything in Rucker!
Hey man, your vids are super informative - thank you . Best of luck to you and congratulations on being selected. I’m an active duty guy whose flight physical just got approved and I’m interested in the National Guard options . Would be great to chat some time !
Back when I went through, the oldest guy I met was 32. Many of us guard guys were about 26 (which felt old compared to the young guys) but we were prior service , now national guard, so we went on a slot for our guard unit. Best of luck to you brother.

First, congratulations on getting selected! I saw your previous video about the board questions and such. Second, I saw the background of your channel, who is that standing in those flight suits? I am curious to learn. Also, I am currently putting together a packet as well. Wish me luck!
@@merrittorius the notorious Blackbird! That is awesome! And thanks brother I appreciate that! Glad I'm not the only Marine trying to fly helos in the Army! I am very determined to do it!
This information is great. I have a question that I’m getting a lot of mixed answers to. I have not served but I want to go the warrant officer pilot route and I have heard and read that you can enlist as that and don’t need any training but on the other hand I hear you do
You can apply with nothing. I was next to a kid coming straight out of high school taking the SIFT. He was already selected to attend WOCS and IERW. He may have held a private pilots liscence already. I dont know. But you can submit a packet. I'm sure the folks you're talking to just know the odds of being selected are lesser without some kind of background in the military or specifically military aviation. THANKS!!
Hello sir! I am actually in Indiana National Guard OCS and am working on putting my packet together to board for aviation. Is there an alternate way to get in contact with you besides tiktok (don't have one) or is that best for you? I'd like to ask you about your packet and see what you might suggest for mine as well as the process in general. Many thanks!
I am currently an active duty Marine in the airwing (non-aircrew) who's EASing in the next 5 months. I am in contact with an Air National Guard recruiter to follow the same path you are going through (I assume you're going Flight Warrant Officer in the Army). I should mention this is for the reserve component. Should I wait until post-EAS to go active duty or continue the path I am currently going? And any tips for the process would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Would recommend calling around to multiple offices/recruiters. You want to speak with an officer or warrant officer strength retention billet person. I would think your best course is doing it while active. Theres nothing wrong with that from what I know but get MULTIPLE opinions.
Still need the age waiver. Still a chance I don't get to go. We will see.
