Today was a special day we took delivery of a sub adult T.blondi among others from Steven Millward and once again he did not disappoint .
What amazing new additions cant wait to start pairing these girls when there ready

She is one very feisty girl, she actually attacks through the plastic sides to have a go at you , will need to keep an eye on her and my fingers😂👍

The T. blondii has been a goal since I was a kid 40 years ago. It will be interesting to watch this develop as I am thinking about biting the bullet and trying them out. Soooo big and beautiful!

only just found your vids a couple of days ago so having a bit of a binge, I had Ts for a while but needed the room I kept them locked in and I couldn't find a suitable lockable cabinet to keep them in in time so I rehomed as I have a 10 year old autistic son lol but do miss them and the thrill of unboxing a new one

I feel ya I have a chilean rose, pink salmon bird eater, white striped bird eater, Brazilian red knee, obt, king baboon, Togo star burst, green bottle blue and an Indian ornamental really want a goliath and a p. Metallica but the Mrs has put me on a ban for now lol

I'm thinking about getting one myself, but for now I'm going to look at ones best for a beginner before jumping in (seems the desert/Arizona Blonde and curly seem best so far).
If you have any other ideas on what's best that'd be great 👍

I was a bit like u was not even interested in getting a t blondi after some time I decided to get one although mine is only a sling.i also do have a adult female c marshalli gorgeous ts.
Yes they never really interested me although I had one years ago , some of it is the adults always look so rough and I hate bold bums on my Ts.😂😂😂

@@daveslittlebeasties she's 13cm leg span,will a 30x30x30 be ok for now? I was worried a bit about the humidity requirements but I think I have them in hand. Your rehouse will be great mate!! All your enclosures are amazing! You must dedicate so much time to the beastie room!?
@@pjsmith2744 I almost live in there only allowed out to do the house work 😂😂😂😂, I should think your enclosure will be fine short term just try it and see how she settles in , it will need upgrading soon enough anyway so let her grow some before you change .👍

I’m a new subscriber of Dave’s channel and I gotta say I’m thoroughly impressed more and more every show I watch. I would have freaked out like a 3 yr old girl if that horned baboon did that to me. You're excitement is infectious. How did Mrs Camera lady stay steady when the BHT suddenly sprang out? That was the first ever jump scare I've had and I'm a regular to the Dark Den and yourself after first finding Exotic Lair and T collective. Well handled regarding the ridiculous comments on Petko's channel. You'd make a phenomenal teacher. The way that you both handle (or don't for that matter), your spiders and T's regardless of species, or monetary value is exemplary. Your husbandry second to none. I find it very intriguing that im addicted to both your channels. As an arachnophobe? It fascinates me how many of us there are, that watch these videos. Thank you very much for well documented, presented, clear and educational videos. Tarantula Kat said herself, that you appeared to have come out of nowhere, but your content was excellent. I would like to add that over 40 yrs experience isn.t coming out of nowhere lol. I know what she meant though. Many blessings and I look forward to seeing the follow up vids' as I've just seen this is 3 yrs ol. Hopefully she's alive and well. If so she must be bloody huge now? All the best xxxx

hey dave :) i finally managed to grab one of these as a juvie and has just gone through its first molt under my care. absolutely amazing species and found it pretty cheap for one of these.

Great! I am like you, they have never been my favourite speicies, but they are gorgeous. I had one years ago, but its hair was so terrible for me that i had to sell it
Im very susceptible to the hairs which is why I dont keep any new worlds, but im hoping with gentle handling I can avoid the hair kicking .

Great video. In fact Theraphosa is one of my favourite genus. Bred blondi years ago and tyring now to succeed with this in stirmi. Also rearing some apophysis at the moment. On my channel there are also a few english spoken videos and a field documentary we shot in the 90s when travelling to French Guyana, searching for blondi. Maybe you would like to take a closer look:)

I bought a T.blondi once. She moltet while being delivered. ANd ofc it went bad. 2 of her legs didn't come out. So she had 6 legs. And grew little once the next molt. She died after the following molt. Years later i read they don't like higher temperatures. 24°C should be the max. My room reaches 30 regulary in summer month.

that unknown baboon looks like a cross between a Pterinochilus murinus (OBT) and Pterinochilus murinus (DCF kigoma tarantula) because they are both P.murinus I don't know if the would be considered a hybrid or not ...great video please keep up the great work

I watch your videos from months ago bit by bit. Great video to see. I know that generally speaking, handling of the goliaths is usually discouraged due to their hair and their fangs/bite but do you handle any of your Theraphosa species at any particular time? Or is it something you try to avoid at all costs
