- In this week's episode of Team Wild's Varminators, Keith Anderson and Steve Wild have been invited on a driven pheasant shoot with their good friends at SPD Pest Control. The boys are up for a cracking day of shooting, but there's a catch. The woodland is plagued by pesky grey squirrels, and need to be varminated. It's not all fun and games...

I looked at a lot of hunting channels, and TeamWildHunting channel is by far the best. Most of them are very snobby. If you guys keep up with this style you will get lots more fans!

They are the best burglar alarm you can have on a shoot, if anyone or anything is prowling around..They will let you know!

Its great. I roast it with bacon and think it tastes a bit like chicken but a tad more 'gamey'
It's not a strong tasting meat, and works well in curry and stews.

I cant recall off the top of my head. It was a proper mixed bag for sure though. Because the ground is by the river, there is all manner of wildfowl along with all of the pheasants,partridge etc. Its a hunting utopia!

Yeah, It was really wet and because the ground is right next to the river it floods really easily.

A lot of shoots put down Guinea fowl as a natural burglar alarm, they then post a fine on anyone shooting them but its not a legal agreement, its just for fun and the money goes to charity usually.
Its looking like Wildy is in the lead now.

I think Wildey got the shot, if the audio is synced properly, the bird twitches on the first shot and drops on the second, but the first is almost definitely a hit.

Thats not really hunting guys! Thats killing! Whatever moves gets killed! Nice movie overall, nice setting etc... I m a hunter myself, but i wouldnt kill everything moving arround in nature!

Grey squirrels are a big problem here. They are killing off our Red squirrels and they do loads of damage chewing feed bins etc.
We either shoot the dreys or poke them out with extendable rods and then shoot them as they bolt.

Hi James, It's an Armsan A612 camo, in Realtree Hardwoods. 12g and they are a whole lot of gun for the money!

Didn't know Derbyshire was in the USA. Camo gear, autos and guns carried like John Wayne and Anne Oakley on a pheasant shoot. YEA HA Team cowboy !
I'ts not. Derbyshire is approximately 35-40 miles south-south east of Manchester. Just throwing that out there.

Yeah, There a bit of Stoke mixed in there! lol
We can have shotguns in semi auto up to 3 shots on a shotgun cert or they can be taken above that with an FAC.
Rifle wise, we can have up to .22lr in semi auto but thats it Recon

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago, they film in Staffordshire Moorlands and Derbyshire quite a lot, I'm from Staffs Moorlands, (Northern part). They replied stating that they were based near Uttoxeter in Staffordshire. ATB.
I know you are based in Derbyshire, but are some of you from Stoke. I recognize some of the old lingo being from Stoke myself.

Guinea fowl warn the pheasants when a fox is around by making loads of noise- so if we shoot them we have no pheasants left!:)
