DIY RUCHE DRESS
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- In this weeks video, I tried my hands at a DIY Ruche Dress. It's a jersey knit, long sleeve t-shirt dress with ruching down the center front and center back. I used a self made sewing pattern to make this dress with gathers held together by clear elastic. To learn how to ruche with a sewing machine and overlock machine, you'll definitely want to watch this video.

I love how it turned out and watching it made from scratch is insane
Thank you. It is sometimes crazy to see how clothes come together. Especially if there’s a lot of pieces. It’s like watching a puzzle come together.
I love a good rouched dress!!!
They can make a body look good.
Great job hun, looks beautiful on you.
Thank you, appreciate it. And thanks for watching.
This looks great! Takes a lot of patience for the rouching and it came out well. Rouching is not my style really either, but I've seen that people love it.
Thank you. Yes, lots of patience. Especially with the math and making the pattern by hand. People with body and curves love it lol. It make them look amazing!! But no, for real lol, ruching has its purpose but it just doesn’t sit well with me. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for taking us on this journey. I know I have worked hard on some sewing projects myself. I think that this is a great starting point. Better than anything I could do for sure. It looks pretty advanced for me. Love to see how you ended up styling it.
Thank you. Appreciate it. Yes, for my first time doing this technique, I think it turned out great and is a nice starting point for only a few alterations. Honestly, not sure how I’ll be styling it but we’ll see lol.
The dress looks absolutely beautiful good job
Thank you . Really appreciate it
This is really cute and came out nice
Thank you and thanks for watching. Appreciate it.
That is absolutely beautiful. I wish you could saw me one
Thank you. If I were still doing customs, we could make that happen but I’m focusing my energy on growing my channel. Maybe down the line, if you’re still interested we could do something.
I wish I had this patience & skill 😩. You mentioned making mistakes & im watching like....where??? Lol, this came out nice & looks wayyyyyy better than what I would have done with the pattern lol. I bet you’ll love it after you alter & shorten it!
Lol a lot of the mistakes came before hand with patterning. Didn’t include all of it because didn’t want ya’ll sitting here all day watching me screw up math. 😅 It didn’t come out horrible, it just didn’t come out right lol. Thank you. I think I’ll like it more with the alterations too.
I like the concept of this dress! I know ruched clothing is in style now (I literally just bought some ruched leggings last week lol). This is awesome that you're able to do this!!
Thank you, appreciate it. I’d anything, I think ruching will always be in style for clue attire lol. Buying ruched leggings is sooo much easier and less time consuming then making them lol. The efficient route is ideal lol.
I actually like the length!!
I'll have to see how it looks when I make it tighter.
I want to learn how to sew it looks so time consuming
Everything consumes time. To learn something new consumes time. To practice and be good at something consumes time. We just decide what’s important to us and what’s worth that time consumption.
