This was a fantastic drive, and I especially appreciated the educational narrative blurbs in the upper left corner. I love learning the history of areas I visit. Thank you so much.

Haha haha twice a week I ride from dirt Mulholland to Hollywood sign and back home to Encino.
Great video
That's awesome! You must have an intimate knowledge of that road for sure!
Loved it. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it! Check out Topanga Canyon, Sunset Blvd. or Malibu Canyon when you have some time.
AWESOME!!! Loved it!!
So glad! Please check out some of the other vids on my channel!
@@ridealongwithscott I sure will!!! I’m looking to find your channel right now to subscribe to you!!!! ♥️😁🇺🇸
Loved the view, music and history!
I am so glad you enjoyed it!
The only time I'll drive this, thru your camera eyes. Nice. Thank you...
I do suggest experiencing these drives yourself, but if you aren't comfortable driving mountain style roads there are guided tours availible. Los Angeles is a very diverse and beautiful place and the weather here is almost always perfect. But I am very happy to share all of it with you!
Always love this drive!
Awesome! Thanks for watching, glad you like it!
That was a real nice trip. Great tunes for the traveling. No shortage of Teslas along that road I noticed :-)
Glad you enjoyed it, and liked the music! Here in the LA area we have a lot of Teslas all over town.
Great ride! 👍 Marlon Brando lived on Mulholland Drive...Jack Nicholson is neighbor.
Thanks for the info!
AWESOME!!! Thank you!!👍👍
Thank you too!
A fabulous drive which I've done a few times.rod Stewart's place is off of this drive.rog. Pacific sunset records.
Thanks for the info!
I did a Hollywood stars home tour a few years back. A big chunk of the trip was Mulholland Dr. LA has some incredible areas.
Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm so glad you enjoyed the Hollywood stars home tour. Mulholland Dr. is definitely a must-visit area in LA.
Awesome thank you I can't afford to visit there love it
I hope you will be able to visit California someday, everyone should spend some time here. Spending time in California soothes ones soul and revitalizes your spirit. You can visit here through my other videos, however.
You are so right I love California I built my own hot rod that weather works in my behalf .lol. keep up the great videos. 👍
Awesome video just wish you stopped at a few of the look outs to get a view of the city from mohulland drive
That's where I shot the drone footage from
Really good video...Thanks
So nice of you! Thanks for watching!
I loved my ride down the mulholland drive before i get there, see you soon!
I am so glad you did! I hope to see you back here soon!
Luv luv your vibe
Thanks for watching! I hope you can find other ones here on the channel to enjoy as well!
Scott Mr Scott nice ride but print message storyboard text was way too tiny for my eyes thnx!!
This is a nice cruising spot!
thanks for watching!
I love west Hollywood videos
I'm going to have one out on Hollywood Blvd and Laurel Canyon soon!
Love this. It's not how I pictured Mulholland at all! It has another edge when you watch it as a Brit because the turns feel so unnatural! 😅
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Let me know if there is anything in California you would have me to drive you through! I can take requests!
Just admiring my possible ancestors engineering work 😊🌳
Wonderful! Care to elaborate?
My great grand father was an Irish immigrant called Daniel Mullholland who had some strong link to Philadelphia
Hey man that video was awesome. Many thanks. Rog. P s records
Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you can find more to like at my channel.
@@ridealongwithscott I'm sure I will. Stay safe. Rog . Pacific sunset records .
Hey Scott! Just stopping by to say Hi!!! Great video by the way!
Hey Smiley! Thanks for stopping by. Did you grab a camera to use as a dash cam? I'm ordering in another DJI actioncam to do a side window view. I'm looking to provide an alternate prospective in the content.
Thanks for the feedback. I love doing these vids and showing the great place we live in.
@@ridealongwithscott I did get an action camera! I got an Akaso Brave 7. It takes great 4k video but it is missing some features that I like. I returned it and I am waiting for my DJI action cam to come in. I love taking night time lapses of the milky way and the Akaso doesn't have that capability. When my DJI comes in I'll let you know my friend.
Keep up the great work and hope to run into you again one day out there on the road 👽✌🏿 can't wait to see the new perspective the second camera adds!
Just premiered one - from the same day I met you in Lone Pine.

Rod Stewart is not far away in Beverly park just off Mulholland. Fabulous videos friend.rog. Pacific sunset records.
Thanks Rog!
That is an exhausting road to drive on. You got to really stay alert - dangerous. I live in Fort Lauderdale :)
California is literally covered in mountains. You get used to driving roads like this as they are quite often the routes you need to take. I grew up in Texas, which like most of the midwest is completly flat, and at first these California roads scared me. They no longer bother me and the views they provide can be spectacular. I love these roads now, and I enjoy driving them just for fun. Come on out to California and drive one for yourself someday, you may love it!
Check out the other rides I have at the channel, some are much more scenic and twisty-turney.
Imagining myself being rich, I don't think I'd choose any of those mountains as a place to live. Fire country. Imposing on wildlife. And hot. Very hot.
Fire danger never factored as much in California as it does right now. I hope my videos point out that global warming is already upon us, and we must act.
The exact layout of GTAV 👌
I'm assuming you're talking about Grand Theft Auto V? If it looks like the same road in the game, they must have done their homework. Glad you liked it!
I ENJOY THE RIDE AND THE COMMENTS. THANK U
Thank you so much! I hope you can find some other vids you enjoy here on the channel.
I'd like to give you a couple of recommendations for roads to drive and videotape, in SoCal, Central, and NorCal, but there are so many that my brain just gets overloaded and freezes up like the old AOL or Microsoft system when hundreds of files appear on screen. LOL
There is too much beauty and diverse terrain in California to try and give a priority or to predetermine which landscape/roads to document that the subs and new viewers may want to watch.
Being that I have lived in LA proper most of my life, yet lived in Hawai'i for a year and then Silicon Valley and Marin Ccunty for a total of 17 years combined and as a person who loves driving and exploring new places and roads less traveled, I know of so many roads all over California from the deserts to the Redwoods, all the coastline, rivers, lakes, etc... , I really wouldn't know where to begin.
There's definitely no shortage of beautiful roads to explore in California! It's amazing how diverse the terrain is, from the deserts to the Redwoods and everything in between. I appreciate your offer to recommend some roads, and I'm always open to suggestions from viewers like you!
Mulholland Drive starts in Woodland Hills as a dirt road until it gets to Getty Museum where the pavement begins.
I enjoyed this video as I lived in the Valley 1976 to1994. However, you might want to check your facts. Many people don't consider Burbank and Glendale to be part of the SF Valley. Also, I think Van Nuys and the City of San Fernando are separate legal cities and not part of the City of Los Angeles.
Thanks for the info, and thanks for watching!
Awesome video Craig! I'm headed to LA on December 9th. Do you know if anyone gives tours of the Hollywood Hills and drives along Mulholland? Or do you recommend I rent a car and just drive it myself?
There are tons of tours here in LA, including driving Hollywood Hills and Mullholland Drive. You might have seen some of the tour buses going by us in the video. Just google Mullholland Tours and you will get plenty of options. You will have a great time, and we'll try to make sure the weather is awesome for you!
Dude your captions were so funny. I subbed. But I thought the song Free Love Extension was the best
Glad you feel me, bro! Thanks for the view and the sub. If there is another place in California you would like me to do, please let me know, I can do requests!
@@ridealongwithscott I have a lot of places in California to see. I am a film producer here in India (Asia), and will be relocating to America soon(hopefully next year; it would have been done if not for this damn pandemic). My favorite location to setup my base is Los Angeles and a ranch in the Monterey area which I'm already looking at. You live in heaven you know that? Most people never realize how good they have it.
I will stay in touch with you. I need friends and creative friends at that. Cheers Scott. 🍻
Hope this channel grows.
@@rudolfreindeer1112 I would love to be your guide to all things California. I am based just south of Los Angeles, but I do travel all over this amazingly beautiful state. Keep me posted on your status, and let me know if there is anything in California you would like to see me shoot video of on this channel. Thanks!
@@ridealongwithscott I will keep you posted. I have seen every single video of yours. Very creative and visual. Trust me...as a filmmaker I can notice these things. And I think you have pretty much covered all of LA and the west coast, at least the ones I'm interested in. Have you been to Carmel By The Sea?
@@rudolfreindeer1112 I was just there 2 weeks ago for the Pebble Beach Pro Am golf tournament. I was scouting for a future ride along vid as well. Carmel is the north end of Big Sur and i have shots of Carmel in my Best of California - Big Sur video - ua-cam.com/video/W3GqdeFPmjE/v-deo.html
Whatever happened to Mulholland shock absorbers? Drove this road in the late sixties.
Did you do the drive with Mulholland shocks on your bike? Thanks for watching!
I wonder if the limo drive-by scene in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive was actually shot on Mulholland Drive?
I read that the limo/crash scene was actually shot in Griffith Park. Hope you enjoyed the video!
@@ridealongwithscott Thanks! I did.
The background sound should be Free Falling
Thanks Ezra, I love Petty and love the song, but the copyright issues won't work on UA-cam. Hope you enjoyed the soundtrack, all the artist featured here are very talented and are looking for some exposure. As a musician myself, I'm looking to showcase new talent!
Thanks to you, the drive went well. It must be hot in California, but doesn't the camera turn off in the middle of shooting with the camera on for a long time? What camera do you use?
I use the DJI Osmo ActionCam. I have three of them now and they will heat up on extended use. Some settings will cause the camera to heat up more than others. Most of the heat issues are moot when you turn off the screens and the WiFi, and use the fastest SD card you can get. After doing that I can run them for hours before they heat up to the point that they shut down.
@@ridealongwithscott Thanks for your kind and sincere reply. Thank you!
@@ridealongwithscott By the way, how did you attach the DJI Osmo ActionCam to the vehicle? Is the attachment method the same as the Go Pro camera?
👍👍
Thanks for the nod!
We owned another house that Marlon Brando owned next door to the one he bought next to Jack Nicholas. It was great living there on top of Beverly Park.
Wow! I would have loved to come over for a dinner party at your house!
your cinematography and choice of music. wow...drop the mic
Thank you so much for the kind words. I am so glad you enjoyed the ride!
i miss that.
used to live there.

Hello
Hello!
go west next
Thanks for the input! I think I'll do that - watch this space...
Enjoyable but I was trying to take in the landscape without being distracted by your excessive post-it notes.
Thanks for watching!
@@ridealongwithscott You're welcome. Thank you for making the video.
It is much better to listen to ambient sound, not music
Well, the ambient sound of LA is mostly cars, busses and sirens, so I stick to the music. Thanks for watching!
Another clip with merit get annihilated by music. Thanks anyways👍
No problem 👍

Hello again!
Please be careful passing on a DOUBLE line! I know those bikers shouldn't be in the way! 🚫
I share everything, including the road. I spent my youth into cycling, I'm especially careful around cyclists. Thanks for watching!
u should rid the music and talk about many points
Thanks for the comment! I really appreciate your feedback and I'll take your suggestion into consideration.
What a cool channel. Fun drives and lots of facts to go with.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I have a lot of others here on the channel as well, so come back any time!
@@ridealongwithscott
Yours must be the best car-drive channel out there. Ill keep watching.
great video except for subtitles. too distracting and i didnt care for the music. glad i have a mute button
Thanks for watching!
The banners distract me
Sorry - most of my viewers really like the background information. You don't have to read them.
@@ridealongwithscott yes, but my eyes goes uncontrolled to the banner when they appears 🥲
@@ridealongwithscott---- I agree with the comment. I just found your videos the other day and I'm born and raised Westside of LA, and I commented the other day on the drive through Topanga.
I am extremely familiar with the roads you are driving, literally having driven them hundreds if not thousands of times and know most of the history also, but being an avid reader all my life, I automatically am drawn to the banners and as interesting and informative to those who know little or nothing about these places, they are a distraction, although minor, they are hard to ignore.
Maybe for future videos you could set up a way to turn off the banners for those who wish to not be distracted away from the beauty of your videography and geography of Los Angeles and some of the most beautiful places in the City and the world
