My father was a stonemason and bricklayer. I used to help him on weekends mixing cement. In this video and several other ones I recognize quite a few houses my father did work on. I truly enjoy your videos, brings back great memories!
Excellent, I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos. One of the things I’ve noticed since starting this channel is how non-stop the construction is, it’s good to see not everything has been torn down and rebuilt.
@@MusicalAddictionOnlineLessons I got forced into the shrubs by a fire truck that came barreling through, picked up a few good scratches from it too. Luckily that was the worst of it.
@EverydayOnTour Damn. I came from England, awake 36 hours, never drove on the opposite side of the car/road before. It took some focus to make it to the Andaz via Crenshaw from the airport 😅
Thank You,for doing the Cielodrive !!!! I enjoyed it so much because I love Sharon Tate, and it 's still very exiting to me to see that special place ,even the Area looks very different today than back in 1969 but it's still recognizable .
@@snezanamil8462 it’s not all sunshine and rainbows here but there is plenty of good (mixed among some bad) but if you get a chance to visit it’s definitely worth a look! Cheers!
@9:01 That big house has been a construction site since 2017. Look at all the cars parked on this street and the others nearby. Imagine being their neighbor. Living above Beverly Hills and dealing with that mess five days a week for the last seven years. You can still have visitors during the day... as long as they're cool with parking several blocks away and walking uphill to reach you. Nice cars have wide wheels, I wonder how many flat tires have been caused by seven years of construction vehicles dropping junk. Surprised the neighbors never sued for damages to their quality of life, law suits have happened for much smaller matters. I'm sure they're still doing alright lol but living next to a construction site on tight streets for seven flipping years is crazy. Also, your videos are really crisp. 👍
Whoever owns that house is neighbors with James Goldstein, the mobile home Monopoly man who is always seated courtside at NBA games. He’s a direct kind of guy to say the least, I cant imagine he’s happy with the endless construction next door.
Great tour with a cool retro 80's soundtrack. Nice area to live in if you can afford it! The drive up Cielo was interesting looked so peaceful and chilled, it was a tragic night and it's legacy still lives on as much as ever. I could put the past behind and live in Cielo drive but would have to have a garden, I don't think those houses on Cielo do? I think they are on stilts at the back. Really enjoying your LA drives, keep em coming!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed! … The landscape across LA changes quickly, even in the hills. So with non-stop construction and development the places with a haunting past usually get modified over time.
Murders in a home doesn't stop some people from buying a home. For example, in 2007 there were murders in a home in Georgia. 3 people were dead and one was a 7 year old and yet, someone bought that property and lived there for a while. The murders didn't bother them
I think the driver took some weird route just to prolong the video. It's very simple. Take Benedict Canyon Drive and if coming from the Basin take a left, if coming from the Valley take a right.
Will you answer this question for me? Our band played up there one weekend. The client's house is on Beverly Glen Blvd. (I remember) coming from Sunset. As we were driving up Beverly Glen, I looked to the left and saw Cielo Drive. Of course Cielo winds uphill. The house we played at practically sits at Beverly Glen and Cielo. Is this a back entrance-shortcut up to the Tate house? Or do you still have to take Benedict Canyon to get there? I've always wondered. Thank you.
Narrow streets are one way to curb speeding. The trips I take through the Santa Monica Mountains canyons are even more treacherous, definitely edge of your seat driving!
@@EverydayOnTour nope I was actually there during the heat wave. It was like 104 when we were trying to walk around so we did pretty much everything in the car.
@@EverydayOnTour Finally I didn't have to find music for the video, it was a very good choice, although the first track would be more suitable for driving at night. It's like Stranger things mixed with Twin Peaks 😉🙂
Don't know if it is true but I read that they couldn't sell the house because of what happened so they demolished it and built a new one. The murders happened 6 or 7 years before I was born.
I believe you are correct, I think the last inhabitant was a rock musician, he took the front door with him when he sold the place and the rest was eventually leveled.
You couldnt pay me enough money to be a mailman there. Look at how old that road is and the guardrail is so rusted you could push it over with your foot. Course it doesnt help I am petrified of heights😊
Not trying to be mean, but too long for a drive to a ‘site’…made it kinda boring or disappointing. Music was not fitting or very interesting. Sorry but I totally just lost interest & I love this history. Tell the story at least while ‘driving’…or something!
I liked the drive. It's interesting to those of us who do not live in the area and have never visited. I just saw a section of the United States I will probably never get to see in person.
Was hoping to look up at the house that replaced the one that you’re thinking about! I know that the one next door is very haunted by some of the victims. I’ve seen a video and interview of the owner. It’s pretty interesting and very sad as well.
@@22161 I’m a definite believer his home was built soon after and so close to what happened. I’ve lived in a haunted house before so I get it, our dogs were affected by the ghost as his is.
Save your money and go. What would you do if you got there? You just want to get the feeling of Helter Skelter. It won't be what you think it would be because all the time gone by ,and everything has changed changed
Should have been ticketed at least 7 times for rolling through stop signs, and not actually stopping. Nice drive but you are a bad example of a driver.

That is still one of the saddest stories in Hollywood.😢
Seit ich von diesem Verbrechen weiß, möchte und könnte ich nicht mehr dort leben.
Prior to 1969 this street was like the whole area was serene. Now its a street of dark history.
I always been curious if the people living in the area ever gets a creepy feeling after dark considering the history and what took place
I’d imagine the incessant construction and renovations in the area have exorcised any lingering spirits.
If anything it would make them madder
