ℹ️About the episode:
New Zealand has cultivated a reputation for adrenalin extreme sports and Queenstown is the crown jewel. After all, Queenstown is where bungee jumping was perfected. What if you’re not looking to jump off a bridge or jet boat through narrow canyon walls? Then you’ll have to settle for wine tasting, making honey, great eats, beautiful hikes, shopping and a charming lake town.
Exploring New Zealand in our Wilderness Motorhome bit.ly/KYD-Wild... has given us a front row seat to everything. We’re amazed that holiday parks seem to have the best locations wherever we travel. Queenstown Lakeview Holiday Park put us within a five-minute walk to town where we met Altitude Wine Tours www.altitudeto... and just a short drive to www.buzzstop.c...
If you’re coming to NZ, KYD says it is a must stop.

We had bees back in the 80's My first time with them the buzzing freaked me out and I cried that day on I wore head phones when I worked with the bees.
G'day again from Australia guys. Another great video. On the Hamburger comment, It's funny. We were travelling through the USA a few years back, and we couldn't find a decent hamburger anywhere. (Carls Jr was the closest we found to a decent hamburger.) UNTIL we were at Lake Taupo and paid a visit to the Bonanza Ranch. They put on hamburgers for lunch and they were awesome. I told the cook that they had the best hamburgers I had had since arriving in the USA 6 weeks before. "These are the closest thing to a good ol' Aussie hamburger I have had" I told him. He was glad we liked them and then informed me that the new owner of the Bonanza Ranch was a Kiwi (New Zealander), and one of the first things he did was to change the way they made their hamburgers!!! I feel you guys in the USA may never have had the pleasure of eating a decent hamburger until you travel downunder!!
New Zealand is beautiful, and your viewers genuinely appreciate your videos and sharing this trip with us. How ever, Grand Ginger is a major component of your channel’s branding. You must return to Grand Ginger and get back to you your roots!
We're already back with her. Remember that this was only 6 weeks in the dead of winter, but probably 10 weeks of content. Give us a chance to setup and leave for SN7. We've never missed a Sunday.
Another Wonderful video!
Thank you!
Love your videos. Only found you in Season 6,....... goin' back to find Season 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,..... You guys are THAT funny!
Welcome. Playlists are the best to watch in order.
hope you guys are ok if you're still in NZ
You guys are better than tv the networks should be worried.
thank you for this video, this was very entertaining and educational. I learned so much about bees and the process of making honey. That beekeeper made everything so interesting and you just could not wait until he told of the next process. The tour around town and the food and places to eat were just amazing
Keep Filming Flowers as they always are appreciated
Well now that its an addiction, no one can stop me!
As a beekeeper myself love this episode. Fascinating God's creatures.
This video is all the buzz on the internet today!!
What a cool experience learning about the bees
🎶 I'm gettin' ice cream! 🎵
Loving Carson's perspective!
Lol
I want to go to wherever you video on all of your trips👍🏻👏🏻🤩👏🏻!!! I love nz 🍾🤟🏼🎁
WOW! The views are breath taking!!!
That was unBEEleavable. What an experience for you guys. I learned so much. Cheers!!!
Omg, love, love, love this. Bee's are awesome!!!
Now that you’ve been in a hive, you’ll find yourself filming bees🐝. Getting them in focus is a whole different challenge. I’ve lost some of my hives to Yellowjackets/wasp, they are vicious.
This is one of my favorite videos!!! The bees were so amazing!! Thank you, but I do have a complaint... I need longer videos!!!! 🤗 I know they are not short, but they seem to always end to soon. Seriously, they have just gotten better as time goes on.
Geez. I thought I was pushing it at 28 min :) Glad you liked it. Next week is Milford Sound.
I learnt more in this 28 minute video then I ever have in my entire life! 👍🏼😂
That was brilliant! My MIL's boyfriend is a rancher in Montana and they grow clover for the cows, so he keeps bees as well. I did not know how fake store-bought honey tastes until we started getting honey from her and now I'm spoiled. The difference is unbelievable. The only way to buy it in the US is at a health food or organic store like Whole Foods, and then it costs a mint. So I think everyone should keep bees. Wouldn't the world be better if we all kept bees?
Y'all are just *dawgs* making a living by getting us drooling. Dang! Hell of a gig. And I'm loving every minute of your sweet, sweet life. Oh, my Lord...that outro music... :-)
That was one of my favorite episodes for sure. I gave it a thumbs up and watched it again. :) Great B-roll.... er, bee roll. And loved the first-person-perspective luging at the end. :)
I love the dynamic of your family. you're so fun and goofy and it reminds me of how we are on family holidays. Also the bee keeping portion was fascinating
Thinking about you guys this morning. Sad day in New Zealand and our world!
what happened?
@@victoriadaza9456 perhaps the mosque attacks in Christchurch, NZ...
Condolences to NZ
You pack so much wonderful information in your videos. I hate to see them end. Cant wait for next weeks video
Thank you for taking us along this journey. Loved the bee keeping experience🐝❤️ thank you for the hard work it takes to capture some amazing footage😃❤️👏🏼👏🏼
Hope you all are safe and away from Christchurch. God Bless!
always look forward to your videos, thanks for sharing your adventures.. Enjoy
Your videos are so good and you guys are so wonderful together! Thanks!
Trish was going awfully slow on that luge. Was she worried about taking out another sign? :-)
That wasn't Trish :) She did pretty good.
My wife and I have been watching your videos for quite some time, working on making our decision to take on RV living.
: wife here :
This video!!! This! So, with all the gorgeous places you go, have you never been tempted to claim it as your new base home?
David Hontz Bend, OR 👍
FIAT stands for Fix It Again Tony
fantastic! Thank you guys so much for sharing your bee experience. Good enough to show to a science class. How educational.
THAT...was amazing! Mark, you do such a fantastic job of capturing everything!
This was a great video on bees I want to start my own hives next year
We think that would be fun too!
I think this Class B Eurovan you've been driving is making Mark want to buy a Class A.
"I'm getting ice cream." LMAO, hardest I've laughed all weekend! thanks, guys
Really great episode for a "B" movie, this was very informative and your post keep getting better 👍
Hey Guys...Love your NZ adventures...Will you be visiting Australia....you have come this far, Australia is just across the way!!!....Cheers
I have always heard that New Zealand is a sheep herding country, but you have found so much more and more interesting that it makes me wonder how that reputation came about. The scenery in all your NZ videos is so terrific, I wonder how you can ever tear yourselves away and come back home. I am sure glad you have a UA-cam Channel to share it with us!! THANK YOU!!
Hi Carl. About 30 or so years ago New Zealand was a country of about 3 million people and 60 million sheep. Now the 2019 figures are more like 4.5 million people and about 30 million sheep. Things have changed a tad as market demands for wool have changed and an increase in dairy/meat cows have occurred.
I always have such a "feel good" feeling while watching your incredible videos! The way the world is today… I think a dose of your videos … even if it is only once a week...is what the world needs now. Thank you:) Deb...in upstate NY
I agree 100%! So grateful that I found Mark, Trish and the kids!
Another AMAZING day/video of your trip in NZ!! Thanks for your experience!! I love the flowers 😍 too!! You guys film so much at different angles and it is INCREDIBLE!! I LOVE watching your films MORE and more than watching TV!! Keep up your vacation/work trips all over the country side!! I can't wait to see all your videos!!!!
Trust me I am Uber Male and I love flowers 🌺
Absolutely Gorgeous footage.Hope one day able to do some traveling like this. Until then Daydreams lived by watching your videos. Keep up the hard work of making the stops for footage & pic. But try not to make it work. Enjoy the daydream.😁😎
My cup overfloweth (I think that's a word...). My favorite KYD video. I'm so happy for you and so jealous too. Thanks. Bzzzzzzz.
First of all, interesting takeaway, here. Ice cream can motivate teens to color.
Second, Ugh. So, when we eat honey, we eating the product of multiple bee vomits? Okay...
*will never look at honey the same way.
Love your channel and your How to Make A UA-cam Channel course. I have not gotten too far in the course, but it really offers a helpful point of reference. I have acquired gear, for example, based upon your advice.
Love your channel. So glad you went to Queenstown. We went to Australia and New Zealand in 2009 and Queenstown was absolutely amazing. We met some great people. Can't wait to go back.
THIS IS GREAT.. love everything about how you guys are sharing..
I’ve enjoyed reliving NZ with you guys so much. Can I make a plea for Season 9 or 10 (whatever you’re up to at this point) in ICELAND?! I think you’d love it. I know it was amazing when I was there.
Best video ever!! Thank you for sharing this adventure!
You had me at “I’m gettin’ ice creeeeeam!”. 😆❤️ Love KYD! Super interesting bee tour. I’m less terrified of them now. Wasps are still another story... Adding Queenstown to my List!
I'll color for free ice cream. Nothing like FRESH HONEY, the buzzstop was interesting to watch. We are never too old to learn. Thanks again for all you put into your videos. I always like to watch it two or more times. Carson had the eyebrows up, it must have been a good burger. As always take care and "bee" safe.
I was allergic to bees as a child..so I was getting the he-bee-gee-bee's chills watching y'all get so close to the bees. LOL.. But it is so interesting to hear about the life of a bee was to just gather honey. AGAIN GREAT VIDEO, LOVED IT!
Are you guys still in NZ? Hopefully not anywhere near Christchurch? Horrific mass shooting in Mosques! Stay safe!
My friend had his wedding at Stoneridge Estate last year, it's truly a beautiful place. I'm also lucky enough to be going back to Queenstown for the 5th time next year and I'll definitely be dropping by the Buzz Stop Cafe to experience it all.
Loving your vids...my brother-in-law is in NZ often for work, staying months at a time. My non adventurous sister has decided she doesn’t care for NZ- too ‘rustic’ for her and the driving on left freaks her out. From your vids I have decided my sis is sadly missing out on a lovely country. I’ll have to direct her to your channel. Keep up the great work you all....you are so much better than TV.
Another awesome video. I've made it to Australia and sidelined my trip to NZ. After everything you've shared, I'm not sure how I can say I lived a full life without a trip there! P.S. +1 on the flowers. I'm by no means a pro with a camera, but they are a muse and I capture some amazing stuff shooting them. I'm enjoying your fascination with them because that's what I'd be doing.
Must say I was disappointed when you revealed your next stop was New Zealand.
I have never had any interest in the place.
I have been watching the Vlogs anyway and what you have captured of the country is absolutely breathtaking and magical.
Great work and thank you for changing my perspective!
Your hard work does not go unnoticed!
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your travels and family. Why haven't HGTV picked you up for a show!!
Amazing and informative videos, programs. You can tell you know what is good for your brand. Nice and wonderful work.
As I am planning a trip to Paris for my son and myself, I found Jay Swanson's you tube channel. Maybe it is just me, but I think we found your doppleganger.
You are correct Barry Maddox. My husband said the same thing last night while watch KYD. Love this family!
Marc & Trish, meant to tell you that the family and I went to Queenstown last year and, thanks to your video, added the Buzz Stop to our itinerary. We also had the owner as our bee-a-beekeeper tour guide and he was every bit as personable and fun as he was with you guys. I asked him about you and he did seem to remember you guys.
So thoroughly enjoy your show! Truly, it is so educational, fun, and inspiring to watch! I have a question for you! Is traveling something you both grew up doing? Or is this something that you as parents have paved the way for in your own family? Cheers!
Please come to the UK and Ireland! We have so much history and easy access to the European mainland through the Channel Tunnel! You would absolutely adore Scotland!
Wow, what a fun episode! I love the beekeeping stuff, that burger-OMGosh, that looked so yummy! Love the wine tour, I can imagine what a fabulous experience it was and the there was the ride up at the end. Amazing! Trish, you look great as always! Marc keep filming the flowers, I just love seeing them! lol Hugs, Brenda
Ok, so first of all, I don’t always want to be there doing what you are doing (thanks for showing it as it is) but this week I would LOVE to be there. Second, don’t tease us about Classic Caleb. Your audience awaits, young sir. You are too funny!
That was AWESOME!
Another awesome video the bee story was amazing, so much I never know-how cool that was ! I was watching some of your videos from the Alaska trip anxiously waiting for tonight’s episode. Always always worth the wait.
Wow, that was fantastic as usual, Queenstown still the same after a very very long time, wait when we were there, there was snow on the Remarkables...just a ripper vid... Just made a honey sandwich for lunch...
I’m sure you miss Ginger, but you have to admit the set up for that class C is a thing of beauty lol Looking forward to you guys comparing the two.
So excited you got to play with bees. We just started raising bees - so fun
That was a honey of a video that’s for sure! Love the stuff and just found out, thanks to y’all that I didn’t know half what I thought I knew. I was glad you took that much video. The demeanor of all of you seems to say that you are having a wonderful adventure. As always, thanks for sharing. It means a lot!
You can NEVER record TOO MANY flowers!!!!
Really enjoyed learning about the bees! Thank you!
So educational... You Guys are the Bees Kneez! Awesome...
AMAZING!!! love it!
Know a lot more about bees now than I did before.....amazing creatures.
What was that track where you were riding down a bike path? Very cool, put me in mind of a go-cart track.
This season is turning out to be one of the best yet! #KYD
I'm a fairly recent subscriber. I've watched a few of your videos and you guys do a great job at the video editing, adding the music and telling your story. Makes me a little jealous at times. Keep up the great work and have fun.
This is absolutely the best NZ video so far - WOW. You guys just continue to amaze me, you are the best and I love and appreciate everything you continue to do. The blessing of this lifestyle could not be showered on a better family and couple. Thank you again, Paul
You're too nice Paul. We're glad you're part of the community!
You all are sure good at making films about our beautiful world. Thanks for all the good work. The family are so sweet and fun.
I love Queenstown and will hopefully move there someday I live in the north island but honestly nothing beats Queenstown you can be just about anywhere in Queenstown and you always have amazing views ✨❤️
That was fun, I don't like bees but this was educational. Queenstown looks amazing! Really enjoyed this one, you guys rock!
Heard about the horrible shooting in New Zealand and wanted to see if you guys were OK!
Wow ! Awesome video learned so much about the bees . Great video as always
In NZ is there Africanized honey bees like in USA?
I sure hope you guys left before that tragic shooting happened.
You have the best videos on You Tube. Thank you for great content and amazing photography! I am a huge fan. You have convinced me that I must go to New Zealand! Thank you for sharing your journey!!
What a fantastic episode! Totally beelicious! And I couldn't believe the views from the gondola...just breathtaking!
Beelieve or believe?
@@KeepYourDaydream Definitely beelieve, honey!
Loved the Bee segment. That was so fascinating and informative. I learned something new. Another outstanding video and scenery. 👍
Excellent job, Sundays are better with KYD, safe travels.
First time in about 2 months I haven't watched the video right when it dropped. :-(
I've been busy all afternoon prepping my RV for upgrades, and getting it cleaned up after towing it back from the shop - it got a bunch of road de-icer on it.
No worries. Glad you caught it. We're doing RV upgrades now too, but not de-icing.
not only educational but fun! what a great channel! glad i found you!
Loved the bees
Queens twin, My favorite town in NZ
That Bee 🐝 keeper wasn’t fascinating!
I mean when he was all chill around that bee until he realized it was a wasp 🐝 hahaha that played out perfect 👌
