It’s not my intention to convince or judge anyone’s position or conviction. I apologize to the channel that my expression with good intentions resulted in negative responses. My intention was not to start a conversation about the rights and wrongs of our great military but just to acknowledge my pride in those who choose to serve especially in today’s all volunteer military. Some of us did not choose to serve however most served with honor and integrity whether they volunteered or were drafted. As a combat veteran, I agree that combat is not cool. In fact those who were involved in combat were likely changed forever. Now we struggle to survive as our personal combat continues.

"dig deep and find the reason he really wants to do this because when it gets hard,
and it will, his brain will betray him and ask a tricky question, "Why are
you even doing this?" and when that moment comes, and it will, it's best
have that answer locked and loaded so he (and you) can keep moving forward
toward his (your) dreams" Mark and Trish - this is beautiful, sound advice. Anyone can use this and apply it to any goal they have. You always have to keep what is driving you readily accessible to draw on, because you will always be faced with challenges and deterrents no matter the path you chose to get you to your end goal. Best to you and your family!

I'll admit my eyes leaked a bit during this episode. Particularly looking back to when your epic adventure began. You two have done an amazing job creating and molding these three beautiful, dedicated, driven, adventurous, responsible, hilarious, patient, independent, caring, team playing, and respectful people. My not yet seen dream 'fitted' KYD hat off to the both of you. Bravo Trish and Marc. Seriously amazing!
Speaking of fitted hats........Any chance you'll be working with a site featuring hundreds of products consumer choose to put you logo on......ie fitted hats. I understand you lose a bit of the exclusivity your personally curated and seasonally released merchandise offeres, as well as the personalization and love you put into packaging said merchandise. And let's be honest, you wont be paid what your worth if you allow a third party to profit off of your brand. Perhaps a compromise..... allowing the brand on a small selection of products like...oh I don't know fitted hats...haha. You might be able to further limit sales...ie cutting off use of the brand and logo 4 to 6 weeks prior to the release of new official KYD merchandise. However I could be talking out of my axx at this point as I've no idea how a third part merchandise site works. For all I know once you submit your brand and logo to such sites they end up owning it through some misleading contract language or obscure legal loophole from 1812. IDK. I do know I collect and wear only fitted hats. A few KYD hats would fit right in.
    Cheers!

What an emotional episode! Carson, good luck, you have a bright future ahead young man! Also might consider Coast Guard aviation.🤔🤔😉 Loved the early clips of Carson. Charlie grew up so fast. What a beautiful dog he is, and so well balanced. Safe travels! 👍🏼👍🏼👋🏼👋🏼

Congratulations to Carson! I also had the benefit of serving in the US Army as an Officer (ROTC). That one decision as a young woman was the best decision I've ever made. It will bring him a life full of adventure, friendships, comradery, and success. Don't sleep on the US Military Academy, West Point! :)

So……I just dropped my daughter off at the airport. She is a MP in the Army and is headed to Germany for THREE YEARS!!! I held it together until the “Carson compilation”. I needed to cry and this video worked. 😰😰 I’m going to miss her so much! Great video.

I think I’m gonna cry! Lol. Happy for Carson tho. My brother-in-law works at CMA and my son has worked there the last 3 summers. And my niece graduated from CGA. So, I highly recommend this school. Sorry we missed the meetup! We love your channel!

What a special episode. Thank you for sharing it with us. Just have to echo what so many other KYD family have said. Carson is absolutely going to continue to soar! From all your adoptive “aunties, uncles, cousins, grandparents” and framily, we are proud of you in whatever you choose and where you go!
Bonus points to Trish for Mom strength through that day. 💪👍 Caleb, Be Strong as you process what to do with “all that room”. 😆😂 #quoteoftheday #classiccaleb

Wow, I can't believe how much your kiddo's have grown. Glad Carson found his thing in life and I know he will go far. All your kids will as they have great examples in their parents. I'm not going to wish him good luck as he doesn't need it, but I will wish him a fabulous year! Carson, you looked so handsome in your uniform! Always bitter sweet for mom but I know y'all are so proud. Loved seeing Charlie with his family, how sweet was that?! Love watching you guys and your adventures. Amazing! Hugs, Brenda

I'm a hospital nurse in Indiana now; I was born a few miles from Culver. I've known a few grads, and you should expect the best. However, my Dad was threatened with being sent there in the pre-war days. Much has changed since the 30s and 40s. It was not coed then either. When I fly back to Knox, I often pass over Culver. Great place.

2 things in the greater Chicago area that High Schooler's love sports wise, LaCrosse and Rowing. Every school we ever saw had them. I was born and raised in Chicago and spent 47 of my 57 years there and I never once was on the Skyway. I was a Tollway monster, yes the mad race, Ipass and all still use it because we travel back to see our Son and wife all the time. Saves money and time for sure. Much easier to whip through an ipass lane at 75 than wait in line. They do have Cameras on each Clerk also. Seeing you guys go through these life changes brings back so many memories. Each of our kids off to College now all in their mid 30's and our Daughters have 5 great kids between them, that's fun! Our Son didn't want Children and they do so well and are so happy, you have so much more great exciting things a head. Good Luck to Carson and to you guys. We've found that Western Iowa isn't so bad at all, no place like home for sure but it's also where you find Peace and Happiness.

🙁 just sent my daughter to college 3000 miles away and I know exactly how Trish feels. After we dropped her at her dorm and headed back to our hotel we (my wife and I) started bawling our eyes out. You’d think you’d get used to it after Tori’s move to college but you never do... it’s still a gut-wrenching experience

157 gallons of fresh water equals 1,256 pounds. Do you travel with that much extra weight? I know Culver MA, when in high school I played football and ran track against this great school.

I went to the Culver Summer camp when I was ages 8-10. It was and is still such an awesome place. You feel like a family there. All of my family (aunts, uncles, cousins, parents, and siblings) have all gone there and we all feel so connected there. I got the same reactions when I would tell my friends about a 6 week military camp. It sounds quit aggressive, but I wouldn't of changed it for the world. I met so many good people there, the counselors are amazing! I am still constantly in touch with my favorite counselor there. It is for real the best place ever. Culver, Indiana is a great place and that's so amazing for Carson.

Hope you had a blast in my home state. You weren't that far from my neck of the woods if you came across that yellow crop duster. I started watching your channel a little more than a month ago after I bought a 2009 Fourwinds Dutchmen Toy Hauler (used mostly for my 8 year old son's motocross events). I searched youtube for some beginner RVing tips and your video showed up. I have binged watched like no one's business and I have finally caught up to you. Thank you for all the tips and great times! I just placed my order for some great looking hats! I am hooked on your awesome family and your amazing journey! Keep up the great work! Sean

Oh guys I loved loved loved this video...you sold me at new fridge...🤣but then you did the Carson slot ...it brought tears to my eyes every time Trish got emotional...and to see that Carson has grown into a man...pursuing his dream you oozed ‘proud parents’ and rightly so! You could of done a whole video on his next chapter on this journey he is traveling and I would of been as happy. May your next chapter continue to give the joy you deserve. 🙋🏻🇬🇧💝

One of my great nephews is at the academy in Colorado Springs. In fact his whole family moved there. They have three sons. I'm pretty sure the middle one is going to follow brother's footsteps but the youngest is much much younger - so who knows! The oldest as far as I know didn't attend a special high school though. That's great that you're helping Carson fulfill his dreams. Did you bring another puppy away with you?

This was a super fun vlog for me. Culver is my home town. My wife and I recently came upon your channel as we have started to kick around the idea of buying our first rv and going full time. I saw an episode at Disney where a Culver bag was visible in a quick clip. I wondered where the Culver connection came from. Now I know.
Hopefully he will be coming back for his junior year. I'll keep an eye out for the rig in the next few weeks.

At 3:50, your website name is spelled pretty wrong! Have enjoyed watching you for years. I serve on my senator's academy nomination selection board and can tell you things like this school will make a huge difference in his development. I hope he's looking at ROTC, as well, since it's another excellent path to the same goal. You have done something right as parents when your children are motivated to serve their country!

My son just got a degree in geology and now I'm pushing him to finish up his pilots training. He had put it on hold while he pursued his degree. I noticed your son wearing Civil Air Patrol tabs in the older video. I did that myself back in the early 70s. It shaped me for my military hitch. All good stuff. Keep going you have a terrific family!

Great Video and congrats to Carson and your family. As a retired EE I'd love to know what on earth went wrong so quickly with the fridge and why it too so long for a replacement. They make those things every day. Reminds me of my wife's car which at 1200 miles had the engine fall out of it's mounts. I had the tow truck driver place the car blocking the dealer's front door so he had to climb over it to get in the next morning.

My wife did crew when she went to Smith College in Massachusetts. It is a sport that you can do at any age. She would still be rowing if she didn’t have a couple of bulged discs in her back. It is tougher than it looks. When she was with a local Master’s program (a rowing club for those that are out of college, but still want to row on a team), they had a learn to row day. I went and got to experience how difficult it is to get 8 people to be in sync, and find muscles I did not know I had.
Keep up the videos, and hopefully you can make it to the Pacific Northwest again. There is more up here than the ocean and Pike Place Market.
