Regarding the 2000 German GP, Jenson actually came in for wets a lap earlier than the majority of the field and it was at exactly the right moment as the rain had just started to downpour at the stadium, which makes his 4th place even more noteworthy on more used wets.

But sorry, having lived in Germany myself, I know Germans don't talk about money (but that's just because they have most of it) And don't misjudge me, JB is one of my all-time favorite drivers, the guy is simply an artist.
I’m a Michael Schumacher fan forever but I’ve always loved Jenson he’s a top bloke. I’d love to see him give the Bathurst 1000 a go some day. Hello Jenson! 👊🏻
Love Jenson, what a really likeable guy. Glad to see he's still involved in F1 and hope he sticks around in one way or another for a long time to come. His dad was just the nicest guy as well, you can see where Jenson gets it from. I still miss seeing his dad around, but I'm just so happy his dad lived to see Jenson become world champion. He seemed to be one of the most popular people in the paddock, papa smurf almost seemed like murray in that he was friends with everyone.
Jenson Button... ageing gracefully... British motorsport produces some fine top-level drivers... something in the water over there... and Button is one of the best... a credit to his parents, his skill and hard work.
He had the best car for half of the season. He out scored two world championship teammates in other cars and won in his first season in Japan Post F1 so not exactly shit.
@Anurag I'm not bothered at all by your comments. Despite your efforts. Really don't care about what letters you put together. Your problem for being all worked up because of different opinions. Don't come to the Internet then. He's shit.

Jenson Button about his teammates... "The one that surprised me the most was probably Checo (Perez) for his speed and how in certain days he could be very quick... surprised me more than any other teammate his speed"... 1:11:56
What a beautiful interview. I remember seeing an interview of Jenson at Top Gear. From a raw young teen to an elder statesman with oodles of experience he has come around a long way. In Jeremy's words, british world champion, a really fast racing driver and an all round nice guy. A small feedback, the questions are a bit repetitive and Tom Clarkson should look at a little more probing where some spicy stuff comes out. Most of the things discussed are what we as fans know in some form. It would be really nice to know more from a drivers perspective.
@@Blueflag04 your opinion is probably coming only from Suzuka. But watch the whole season. He challenged his teammate with an inferior car and was still in position to win the title with one race to go. Even if he didn't win at Suzuka, he would've won the title at Adelaide. The odds were in his favour.
I couldn't have wasted my time any better than by listening to Jenson's light-hearted recollection a of an enviable career. I would be genuinely interested to hear why he has so little interest in Indycar, I thought it could be a very interesting challenge. Either way I'm glad he is still out there driving and I would love to see him grow in a Martin Brundle-esque role over the coming years.
I remember how my twice older cousin told me stories of a driver named Ayrton Senna when I was only a 5y old kid , how he was unbeatable in rain and would beat anyone even if he drove on slick tyres. That sounded like science fiction since in the next 14/15 years that never happened, until Jenson Button dominated the 2012 Brazilian wet GP on slicks half of the race.

In races in which both drivers saw the chequered flag, HAM was ahead 65% of the time.
Jenson Button reminds me of this man who owns a Turkey farm in Oxfordshire. What a lovely man. Although when one turkey broke into his house, he tried to shoot it, causing a lot of damage to the furniture in the house. Jenson, never ever bring a live turkey into the house. Its not worth the stress.
Ross Brawn did actually mention to Lewis they had a strong car on the way when the regulations were to change. Not accurate to say no one knew. Fantastic interview all the same though!

Tom Clarkson is contractually obligated to set an alarm at 3am, walk to his bedroom window and scream “BOSE!” at the top of his voice.
