Fun fact: Leonardo’s last name was not Da Vinci, that just means ‘From Vinci’ like Ezio is Da Firenze because he is from Firenze, so when referred to, he would be ‘Leonardo’
Found it. Not the title I was expecting.... but this song fits perfectly for the various activities associated with the Villa... exploring, searching for figurines, sorting through inventory, etc... very curious vibes that make you think.
What is it about Assassin's Creed 2's music? It awakens an overwhelming amount of Nostalgia. This is a game that, relatively speaking, I played for the first time recently (2 years ago), and yet its music always transports me. It reaches me, it evokes something... Maybe I'll never know, perhaps it's better I never know
It's hard nostalgic when i played it like 10 yrs ago in my grandma's house, we were traveling back then and i bought the game in the city where she lives
It's always had that vibe somehow. I first played this game in 2009 when it released but already the soundtrack made me feel nostalgia for... something. There's magic in the music
Ezio story in AC II is about nostalgia. He was living a pleasent life and all of a sudent he lost half his family and became a fugitive. Jesper Kyd's score ficused on the nostalgic feeling of Ezio and transcribes it perfectly.
Not gonna lie, listening to the Monteriggioni Music always causes tears to fall. This is why I hated and loved visiting Monteriggioni over and over again to collent my loot. Every single time, even now when listening to it via UA-cam, it makes me cry. I have no idea from which world Jesper Kyd is. Bet he's sertainly not from ours.
Black Flag got close. But its impossible to match this. AC2 is simply an all time great. It's a high standard to aspire to. AC3 also was a top game, it just could never live up to 2.
It's a piece proper for Leonardo and the times he lived in. I can envision him working to the early hours of the morning in his workshop, trying to see where the pieces fit and Renaissance Italy where man was rediscovering himself after a thousand years of technological and scientific stagnation.
This is from the golden age of assassins creed. My first game and boy, I was not dissatisfied. The music was incredible and allowed me to enter the 15th century in Italy.
Still my favorite of the AC games. The new content they added felt so intuitive and refreshing. And the different locations were all unique with different atmospheres. All of this prior to them adding that godawful 50% synchronization system that restricted how you play the later games
best AC game ever made hands down. the series went downhill after AC3 if only these greedy motherfuckers at ubisoft didnt anualize the franchise and took their time to develop a game with innovative gameplay, soundtrack and amazing story i would still buy the new ones but the sad truth is that the franchise is dead
+cenasux115 mate Black Flag and Rogue were fantaaastic you should check them out! Not the biggest fan of Unity to be honest (haven't played the new one yet).
I loved and still love this game so much and the soundtrack as well! Ezio is one of my all time favorite videogame characters ever! So much that I named my son after him. Ezio!
I’m with my friend and Trigger Finger started playing mind you we heard the song before we played AC2 and hadn’t heard the song since until just now and we both snapped our heads up and like where the fuck is that tune from? Then Boom I’m like this is from AC2
i dont think ac 2's soundtrack gets enough praise! it's easily in my top 5 video game soundtracks ever. Up there with the likes of Super Metroid, Oblivion, Ocarina Of Time and Goldeneye.
Ezio's friendship with Leonardo is the most wholesome thing ubisoft has ever conceived
Fun fact: Leonardo’s last name was not Da Vinci, that just means ‘From Vinci’ like Ezio is Da Firenze because he is from Firenze, so when referred to, he would be ‘Leonardo’

Exactly! It’s magnificent!
Thus, very fitting to Leonardo, because he's creative and curious.
And this song matches perfectly with the atmosphere of monterigioni. The city is dark, cloudy
This song feels like home.

By far the most nostalgic track of ACII. Every time I hear this I feel safe, back in monterrigioni.

Man, why wasn't any other AC games as good as this one?
The creator of Assassin's Creed, Patrice Desilets, left Ubisoft after this game. The series kinda lost its magic after that.
