Those old assassin's creed days...
Amazing moments best game forever
im cry
if greed didn't exist think of the possibilities for this game. The history it could tell. And the emotions it could deliver. Not to mention the art.
Greed? What happened?
i stll play ac2 :/
Went to Venice this year. Me and girlfriend walked around the sleepy quiet deserted Venice after midnight when all the cruise ships and tourists had gone away, with this music on loop. Venice is exactly like it’s shown in the game, it’s magical, it really makes you feel like a assassin in medieval times especially in nighttime.
Not just the best AC soundtrack, one of the best video game soundtracks ever made. Dreams of Venice is evidence of that.
Nah here is the best :)

Jesper Kyd is the master of video games music composers.
backed by Venice Rooftops, Earth and the masterpiece, Ezio's family
Home In Florence is a really good soundtrack just go to 2:50 in the song, wait and listen
yes
I feel sorry for the people who haven't played this game.
I started playing this game a couple of weeks ago and it is addicting. I've always wanted to play an assassin's creed game but now it's here :)
@@cuckcatanimations9141 You have a great journey ahead of you my friend. I hope you enjoy it.
I've just got the platinum for it I dunno why there was so much hype about it to me it's just average
@@almari7412 nostalgia I guess
@@AdarshKontikal yeah I can understand that
I feel so nostalgic about AC II... it was such a good story and playing in the Italy of Renaissance was fantastic. Ezio's story was moving and there was something special about it. Ah, the good old days...
Jesper Kyd's soundtrack is an essential part of this game, it makes me travel god knows where in this fucking UNIVERSE jesus christ.
So very true!! And "Dream of Venice" especially gives us the perfect view and feelings of how is Venice in the game
Emy Jolie the atmosphere of this game is just so haunting, but in an inviting way its so weird but amazing
LOL @ youngsters. This game isn't even 10 years old.
Yeah, back in my day we played football with the skulls of enemy tribesmen
Last month I went to Venice and listened to this masterpiece. A memory I shall never forget.
damn i want to do this so bad..!!!
I will do the same as well. If I ever go to Venice, will play this soundtrack.
I did the same in Rome at nightime! Man, it fits really well.
kzatka maka :))
stefanmarin95 💯🙏🏼
I remember playing this in high school, and then I went to university for Italian language, and then changed my focus to Medieval and Renaissance studies. Now I'm a librarian! I wonder where I would have been if I hadn't played Assassin's Creed, it inspired me so much
Wow!! That story is awesome, good to know you achieved what you wanted.
How does it feel to be a librarian, and what do you do?
so you're closer to obtain the pieces of Eden than everyone else
Dude I play this game and become full time assassin
interesting!
Assassin's Creed 2 was an experience.
I was literally OBSESSED with this entire franchise. I would actually dream about how to get past a certain mission if I was stuck on it lol
Its called the bleeding effect brother! Stay well :)
I thought I'm only one who get dream about game planning, not this one tho ;
SAME BROOO
you know what's funny? i actually had this sort of bleeding effect on counter strike 1.6
I did not know how to plant the bomb and i always wanted to plant it when i was little
and i went to sleep this one night and i had a dream about me actually planting it and holding down the shooting button while having my bomb out
Ah yes the bleeding effect
I am currently replaying assassin's creed 2 and my god when I arrived in Venice and 1:32-2:07 started playing I got the biggest eargasm I've had in maybe forever. Man I love this game.
🎶😳
Me too
Amazing game has its own features bro dont forget this game
The singing is hauntingly beautiful
Enjoy it ;)
Everything about this game..just stunning
I agree you
Especially the soundtrack
Except the graphics.. and the gameplay..
*Climbs up a simple building*
Ezio decides to jump off and hit the ground - *dies*
and don't forget the combat or free roam and general, brotherhood was an improved version of combat and enviroment and it made it more fun to free roam around the map but nothing beats ac 2's story. But it still doesn't make up for the rest of the game's flaws which is why i like brotherhood and revelations more than this
on the rooftops around the grand canal with this on in the background. good ol' days of ac2. people will say it's just a game but I played that game thinking about being in ezios shoes every step in his journey and wow his story is legendary
i grew up with ezio, until someone else pawned our ps3, now i own ac2, ac4, ac liberation, and ac3
i played ac2 so many times my most time played game ac2 and mw2
Jonny Cash can it be possible to fuck this game
"On the rooftops around the grand canal with this on in the background"
The memories man :')
Close your eyes and listen this you'll be there again
Goosebumps. Every. Single. Time. Feels so warming coming onto here and seeing all the comments feeling the same way about the game, it's just indescribable how the Ezio trilogy makes you feel. It's so nostalgic. I feel like nobody will really understand unless they've played the games. I don't know, it's so hard to detail.
Legendary to this day
Indeed. Assassins Creed for life.
Well said. Same feeling
this soundtrack brings back memories
So no Animus needed? :D
really this brings back memories ...... old times ..... my childhood ...
It's been 14 years since AC2 has been released. And couple minutes ago I finished this game. I play it every year. This story, characters and music it still gives me the same level of emotions as when I played it for the first time.
Me too!
I was 12 or 13 when this came out.
This particular piece on the soundtrack feels like the wind on my skin or sth so it stuck with me.
I just remembered it out of nowhere and reinstalled the game.
@@BlankRamiDamn I'm replay this game right now
For kids in 2030 reading this comment: THIS WAS A REAL FUCKING GAME, with great story, characters and knowledge of history and architecture, with no microtransactions to play.
Why 2030? 😂

Of all the Assassins Creed titles, AC2 was the Jewel.
agreed.
And Black flag.
Ac2 brotherhood and black flag are the jewels of ac
Yeah, AC2 and Black Flag are the best ones for sure.
For me, I grew up playing this game (I still do) and it's honestly my favorite game of all time along with Red Dead Redemption. For me, Ezio is my favorite character from any work of fiction ever. Seeing his birth, and seeing his death in a short film was emotional. In my sad times, I would play this game and just feel the ambience of the Venice canals and the rooftops under the moonlight. This truly made me forget about my worries in life, and I could just be free. The soundtrack from this game is just beautiful. THANK YOU Jesper Kyd for this masterpiece. This might be a lame comment, but this game will have a place in my heart forever. Requiescat in pace Ezio...
This is still a fact. RRD2, an those 2 are the top 3 of all time for me
Que hermosa nostalgia... lo jugué por primera vez con 16 años y hoy ya tengo casi 31, todavía sigo amando assassin's creed como el primer día. Ezio es inolvidable ❤
AC 2 has the most beautiful soundtrack iv'e ever heard in my life!! Dream of Venice is my favorite!!
+Nathalie Larsson I AGREE!!!I listen to it practically every morning with my coffee!
Snactuary, Night mission in venice and Dream of venice are the best :3
My favourite ones: Sanctuary, Tour of Venice and Home in Florence. Tour of Venice reminds me the death of my cat, I was playing AC in that period...I miss her, she was part of my heart...sad and nostalgic memories
Nathalie Larsson dude you are my favorite commenter ever, just because your profile pic and this game, my two favorite video games of all time
Because Christina
The soundtracks in the AC games is one of the things that made it such a great franchise. Most of the tracks give the cities such a good atmosphere. Jesper Kyd did phenomenal work.
Thank you Jesper Kyd and everybody involved in making this beautiful game.
Really Assassin's Creed isn't just a game....
it's really not

good to know that brothers r still out there xd
man id play it too but theres some problem with the ps4 hard drive and its just impossible 😔im holding myself back from watching youtube videos about it because i dont wanna spoil myself but its getting harder each day😮💨@@Mo0shii
Venice was definitely the centerpiece of the game.
It saddens me immensely that very few games evoke anywhere near the same feeling of immersion and awe that AC2 does. It truly transcended the video game medium.
AC 2 was by far the best...
+Kan Kanenas It will always be the best
First Draft Films I did like black flag's graphics and setting a bit. But the Pirate's life was not for me and he story didn't reel me in too much either. I did enjoy a couple characters though
+linky2552 in my opinion, black flag was cool, but it didn't feel like an ac game.
hey its diana Im kinda on the same board
lets just hope ac empiresis better, i mean with 2 years of time it better be or i may give up on the ac franchise, the one i grew up with

Just played Assassin's Creed II for the first time in the Ezio Collection, the quality of this song took me off guard.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have bought The Ezio Collection for my PS4. The series truly is a masterpiece.

I was this days at Venice for visiting...every time i was thinking Ezio was here and here. It make me wanna feel so sad because i wasn't in the Ezio time story. I stayed exacly at Market San Trovaso. Was awesome.
BoogyAS i feel you. Visited Venice and Florence with 3 friends (all AC fans) in 2012. It feelt like your was following Ezios footsteps.
I went to Venice last year dressed as Ezio, I even had the goatee that he has. The locals wanted pictures. It was beautiful. I can also pull out his voice and speak a little bit of Italian.

Everything about the old AC game is sublime. You don't just play it, you FEEL it.
This is food to my soul. Assassins creed is my life now. It's not just a game, not for anybody I think. It's far too important. The nostalgia is unreal. I miss ezio so much. RIP il mentore
AC Humayra He's my dad don't call him dead😠😠
AC Humayra Resterà per sempre nei nostri cuori..
I remember my mind used to get lost within Italy's vast green forests and it's almost mythical architecture.
Soundtrack so good they made an entire city about it.
The good old days.. Gives me goosebumps when I listen to it to this day :D
Venice is by far my favorite city simply because of the beautiful ambience you hear while running around pickpocketing, stabbing guards, hiring mercenaries, fighting, etc.
Replayed this game again, I could walk around Venice ALL DAY listening to this and Tour of Venice. Literal master pieces
Yep I did the same thing when I visited venice a year ago.
Jesper Kyd is an icon in my eyes.

You there bro?
Anyone still listening to this masterpiece in 2024? I went to Italy two years ago and I walked the streets of Florence at night all by myself while listening to this very same track. The feeling was out of this world. For a second I felt I was seeing Ezio jumping across the street from one roof to the other
Best game ever, best protagonist, best cities, best soundtrack and best missions, with the graphics of today's games ac2 would be the best in everything
those good old days...
I was listening to this while peeing after holding it back for several hours. Best feeling ever!
The Ezio Trilogy specifically ACII captured the Mystery and Romance of The renaissance, The compelling story lines with all its dark turns only reflected with the beauty of the art and the cities you would travel too. Its truly a Magical combination that other AC games (while some better than others) have failed to replicate to its fullest....
This track is a testament to the passion put into it.
this is probably the best song of the entire Ezio saga. I believe it was rearranged a few times in the expansion games
man 14 years.....
Se me siguen poniendo los pelos de punta, que pedazo de banda sonora 😍😍
This music is awakening some kind of old nostalgia when i first played this game you could say like butterflies in your stomach its feeling like something divine and pure is awakening in me
I'm so proud to be Italian.
This song fits so much with my country.
Dici?
Salute amico mio
AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations motivated me to learn Italian. I started several weeks ago on my own. Now that I know several hundred words and some basic grammar, I’m already in love with the language. And as a native Russian I find Italian pronunciation very convenient for myself
u lucky 😭😭
Up until now this magnificent song... gives me a profound and heartfelt nostalgia of just seeing the streets of Venice and Florence gives me utter sadness of joy deep within me. Along with the interaction of reasonable people, and how just roaming around with the soothing song in the background enhances the virtuality nearing reality. I really acknowledge this game for such memory of how I remembered the radiant lights of Italy flashing before my very eyes in the stroke of midnight.. staring and admiring the environment around you, relaxes me. From there I myself recall how I fondly played this game, savored every moment of it, discovered nearly every corners, gaps and shafts and unraveled places where I am yet to go while learning origins of places, history and famous people. Oh.. how I yearn dearly for my childhood of how I grew into these kind of games to becoming a gamer myself, as I proceed to develop as a newer person than before but have not felt a single change on how I grew up on the Assassin’s Creed series along with my passion with gaming. However if one shall say there are downs in what you enjoy I shall consider it fallacy for it lacks utter sense. Because elation itself do not experience this phenomenon nor it is even affected by negative things. So any phrases or criticism relating to pointlessness of something you enjoy is something not to be given anytime time, reaction or attention. Just like this game itself that is comprised of different parts of “Goodness itself” which I can barely described so I am speechless and yet here I am. Yes I am ambitious and Hopeful but, as I devote half of my life onto gaming for games like this. This is merely my elation so whats life without it? Nothing and nothingness is vain so let it not fall to that outcome. Among all of the games I’ve ever played in my ongoing lifetime, this astounding work of art itself shall not perish nor it shall fade in the millenial minds and modern history of technology. However I can describe and explain more of this game based on its mechanics, its process, developments, parts, components, branches, colours, appearance, story and more to itself but words can not simply begin to express such thing. I do not know clearly when I am going to disappear in existance or how I will fade away in the face of the earth but knowing that this is how vast, creative and stunningly beautiful this world is. Cruel as it may seem yet rewarding yes.. it is worth it, so I am willing to accept tranquility whatever the manner of my death is, I shall not consider myself in vain for I have enjoyed life itself. I am thankful for this magnanimous art..
This game is truly a digital work of art not just a game. There are few games that have made me feel this way. Setting, story, gameplay and music are all on point
Track so good it even has the synchronisation music in it 🥺🥺🥺
We were spoiled.

One of my favorite moments in video games was climbing up a red building with a clear view of the blinding bright day of the Venetian skyline while 0:35 began to play. It was almost mystical.

"This soundtrack is phenomenal"
Probably the most underrated thing I've ever said
This makes me feel so safe.
This will always be the TRUE ASSASSINS CREED.
The feels man ! Imagine you're roaming as Ezio at night in Venice and this song plays in the BG.
Thank you, Jesper Kyd.
A Masterpiece.
Imagine a remake of Assassin's Creed 2, where the buildings are 1 to 1, graphics are like in modern games, physics and you can communicate with passers-by, like in RDR2. Add a seamless world and the ability to enter any (or a large number of key) buildings...
The man singing at around 30 seconds in is singing Agnus Dae (Lamb of God) it is heavily fragmented, and I think people deserve to hear the inspiration for this. I guess it’s a bit of irony? This song reflects the joy and sin that infected Venice as a result of Catholic beliefs. AC2 was very much an in depth look on Christianity through some odd lenses (Ancient aliens and stuff) still a GREAT game. I will always remember putting this bad boy in my PS3 after my birthday for the first time.
Thanks for sharing.
I think AC games has more truth about our history, than the history that is being teached to us around the world. not the too sci-fi parts of it, more like the organizations that shaped the world through thousands of years. this music is unreasonably deeper and more professional than a videogame would require, and the part u mentioned is a typical hidden message for those who are worthy to know. its like they are looking into our eyes ages ago, and we had a moment to look back into theirs.
Jesper Kyd the creator of masterpiece
This is 10 years old but still hits those feelings of AC 2.
ULTIMATE NOSTALGIC. 😥😭
Riding boats on the Canals in Venice and Roaming around at the City was really fun
Jesper Kyd, you are the legend
The amount of nostalgia that this music brings to me really fulls my heart with the kind of love that only the past can bring to my life. Assasins creed was a special part of my childhood, it tought me things that a kid didnt suppose to know and others that helped me and motivated me to continue with life with valor. Thank god that i can enjoy with happiness this music that fills me with love. 24/08/2021

After all this time, after all that other games, I can still say it: Venezia is the most beautiful game city that I have ever seen in gaming.
I wish I could play this game for the first time again...
Best soundtrack, best character, Venice and Florence during reinassance were incredible... How I love this game

Victoria Steelmountain Yeah good times
I bought the Ezio trilogy yesterday and listening to this again really hits differently compared to when I last played AC2 many years ago. Music is incredible. Magnifico indeed.
i am listening to this song as iam going to Venice right now
How was your journey? did u get same vibes?
Went to visit Venice just yesterday. I'm Italian, but I'm from Rome and I had never been near Venice. Back when I played the games, I used to think "the day I go to Venice, I am going to listen to Dreams of Venice and imagine Ezio while he jumps from a rooftop to another". And I did that, it was very good. Also, whenever I see antique places here in Rome, I think of Echoes of Roman ruins ❤
It's a beautiful city with a very unique atmosphere about it, everyone should visit it at least once before it's too late.
I still remember when I was an eager 13 year old awaiting the release of this game and when it finally happened the November of that year I was just in a state of awe and bliss. Those were the days :)
I don't care what anyone says. This is art.
Back when I had only heard of Assassin's Creed and never really knew anything about it.
Now it's my favorite game series ever.
I really appreciated the mysterious vibe of songs like this one and Home of Florence when replaying the game after knowing the ending.
1:32 and Ezio's Family are AC2's themes for me.
This is the best soundtrack of Assassin's Creed and one of the best of all time, not only in gaming.
