My dealership, in state that requires a front-mounted plate, did not drill holes for the license plate. They told me they wouldn't do that to my car, and they recommended doing the toe hook plate holder, so I did, and it's awesome. Sorry about those holes. So glad my dealership didn't do that to my car. You should definitely replace the hood scoop to color match the side-view mirrors. I've seen pictures of the carbon fiber hood scoop replacement and it's awesome, and if that's the look you're going for, it would definitely balance out the car so nicely. Good luck.

I bought a 23 wrx yesterday. made sure there were no plates on the front, waiting on the perrin mount now...I can't imagine how pissed I would be to have those holes...my god who TF decided to start doing it that way?

Drilling holes into the car is actually unbelievable. Imagine you bought that car in a state with 2 plates and then take it to Florida for example. We only have one plate. That’s outrageous. I’d be getting a brand new bumper for free.

First mods, IMO, 6 piston calipers, and a tune! The wing really helps the looks too. Dumb front plates. I made the mistake of trying to hold onto the rubber that held the license plate on. It burnt the hell out of my fingers. Also, what do you think of a front-facing camera? It has a cutout for it.

Why did they drill into the bumper? my 2023 wrx has a front plate mount that goes right inside that plastic part you tapped saying to mount to the tow hitch. It all came with the car

Here in FL, we don't use the front license plate, so our wrx doesn't have those front plates.

Front plate requirements based on state is dumb. Should be standard nation wide only rear plate.
if the holes are all the same you can Make color coded inserts or caps for them
I wouldn’t say its a issue of subaru. All you have to do is tell then not to drill into the front bumper. Easy enough. Your mistake.

Luckily for my vb I was there when they were about to drill into my front bumper for the license plate, so I was able to tell them not to. I would have cried if I had to watch them drill into it. My state requires a front plate so I just got a relocation kit which is always removeable if needed.

After I liked the wrx I got a Grimespeed license plate relocation kit
I’m so glad I pre ordered my Wrx so no plates were on it at all. Def did not want the holes
Sad thing is, if this were a Hyundai or Kia, y'all would be cussing & talking about it being trash, but any other brand, y'all give a pass to, when none of them are really any better.
