    I just LOVE LOVE LOVE that Future Shulk gets long hair and a similar voice plus speaking pattern to The Architect, to show that while he takes after Klaus in terms of appearance, his kind heart lead him to be more akin to the good half that was The Architect instead of the evil half of Zanza.

      it's like Id, Ego, and Super Ego... but hard to tell which one's which... Zanza could be either Id (more likely), or Super Ego (less likely), Architect is (most likely) Super Ego... Shulk is ego - the middle ground (equilibrium/balance) between the two extremes of Zanza and Architect... You might think that Shulk is "unrelated" to Klaus, but... you know ;) (I think Shulk might be a "prototype" of what Noah is to N and how they exist at once/how he exists twice - like, thematically it's the same thing, anyway)

    I wonder if alvis knew was happening in his universe. Klaus has a portal to the other side, it would stand to reason zanza's constant want for power was him trying to comphensate for the absence of his other half, trying to feel whole. All the lives he absorbed gave the illusion he was whole, but it wouldn't be surprising if he had a similar portal hiding inside him connnecting to his other half.

    XC2 is very much a Gnostic story. Klaus is the demiurge, creator of the physical realm, Zohar/Conduit is the Monad/Supreme God from a higher plane of existence/dimension. All humans have a piece of the Monad inside them. Eternal reoccurrence, history constantly repeats, humans coming together to break through to the future. Pleroma; meaning fullness, is also heaven and the end goal for humans, many characters are incomplete, not their whole idealized self. Etc.
    Honestly, I think XC2 tells it’s Gnostic narrative better than XC1, XC1 is more on the nose with it.

    • @matmil5
      @matmil5 Рік тому +2

      To me it is as much gnostic as it can be just Christian/Catholic
      Just like in christianity, God was a human that wanted good for the world. Zohar did not create the world of xc2, Klaus did. He was as the name implies, architect that wanted good, but humans would always reach for forbidden fruit of pride and begin to sin.
      There are so many cool inspirations in the series lol

    • @shaifs5072
      @shaifs5072 Рік тому +2

      @@matmil5 in Gnosticism the true God did not create the world, the Demiurge did. A Greek word meaning producer or creator, quite literally an Architect.

      I mean, Klaus _was_ the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning (of Bionis, Mechonis, Alrest, and Aionios) and the End (of Earth).
      And Takahashi's done more obscure references, so I wouldn't put it past him to have done the "A" and "Z" bit with the names of Klaus' two halves.

    Incredible video, klaus and his interconnected story with the series is what makes xenoblade what it is. Klaus is such a big factor to why i love this series as much as i do. Hes a near perfect godly or false god type character showing how catastrophic it would be if a human was able to reach godhood. If its a character that xenoblade universally nailed it was for sure klaus and his 2 halves.

    The place XC1 and 2 have in the storytelling-space of the Xeno series at large is very fun. XC1 is basically the essencials of Xenogears remixed. A lot of the deeper themes of the human nature and the flow of history and reincarnation are not present, but we got a more tightly paced and polished narrative for that, so it's very much a trade off. The key points are the concepts of a false mechanical god, the true god and the higher, immaterial god, which are handled way diffrent between the games(Most obviously, these three ideas are represented in two entities in Gears and three entities in Blade 1), but one can clearly see the corresponding bits and pieces that make it obvious that it comes from the same source material that is based on Gnosticism.
    XC2 goes onto the exact opposite end of the map and instead tells about the human failures of the system. It is very critical of the concept of "church above all else", because it leads to corruption and overcentralized power for an institution that may go against the spirit if not the letter of the faith they spread. Amalthus has the title "the acting god" because he thinks he acts in his "god's" name, but he is really just a person who got it all wrong and gaslit himself into a delusion of being the highest mortal being because he hates everyone including himself.
    And he is not even near to being the source of the misconceptions, he just solidified them after usurping the leader-role. The church had been going on since basically the dawn of time and the first thing we hear in XC2 is Alrest's creation myth that mirrors the christian one to make it very much relatable to real world-ideologies(Even tho it moreso applies to the west than japan ironically). Which does not even make sense because it claims that people moved to Alrest before titans existed, even tho there would have been no living space at that point...which of course, makes sense that nobody questioned that, because they would call you crazy at best to go against the tales of origin. Imo, it is really nice to contrast the incorrect course of events stated with the correct one explained later and it also is interessting to think about how the architect("god of creation" in japanese) is not a god at all and never claimed to be one iirc, he's just a dude who ruined everything, tried and failed to fix it and then finally does fix it after regaining hope for the future. The people of alrest just assumed him to be a god because "dude created us, gotta be a god, duh".

    i was thinking about this Could Noah be a reincarnation of Klaus and Mio the reincarnation Galea. in xenoblade 1 when Zanza was talking to Face Nemesis he said "you exiets outside the pre-established harmony", that is just like Noah and Mio do in Xenoblade 3. being reborn over again even after their homecoming. also both Noah and Mio are spite in two just like Klaus/zanza and Gelea/?. in xenoblade 2 when klaus was look at Rex's back when he was running to the Final battle and said "perhaps i will be able to face you again... Gelea." almost like he's look into the future and seeing Rex's will be the father of Gelea New self aka Mio.

      @Barley how i get the idea for Noah and Mio being reincarnate Klaus and Gelea, started with Noah Maybe being Shulk son, and Mio Being Rexs daughter, they get the power to Live out side the pre-established order of Aionios from their Fathers for being at one piont connected to the Conduit. That Doesn't work Noah is not Shulk son and you have Glimmer, Mio sister that doesn't have same power. So, Where Did Noah and Mio get the Power from?

      Switch is awesome and they know their limitations and the push their consol to its limits, but yeah if I'm presents with a choice between consols for the same game, I will always pick ps5.
