What a great helpful explanation. I have a similar problem with an old sewing machine. At least now I understand what to look for and how it should be timed.

l was given a MAMYLOCK ML-4 same machine as your different color front plate, l have never seen these machines it runs like a Swiss watch, one needle is broken, l did a clean up inside, and oiled all the moving parts, l can't wait to use it, have to order some needles, my timing is right on the money but it's good to know how to retime it should it get out of timing. Thanks for the video.

I have the same exact model and color! Unfortunately is doesn't work! It will run but I think it's missing the lower looper but I'm gonna try and fix it!

Hi. I’m having a similar problem but with a BL4-736d. Turning the handwheel I have needle bar movement and upper and lower loopers moving but the feed dogs don’t move nor does the cam that you adjust stitch length with. It’s not rotating at all.

Hi, I have a similar overlock machine, a Rimoldi 34df 4 thread, made by Juki. I'm needing to replace knives in it and struggling to find what to order as replacement parts. I'd be really grateful for advice. 🤞

Hi Andrew. Sorry, I no longer have the machine with me but I may have one in storage and will do a video on that some time. Cheers.

I hope you can help me! Working on a Babylock 5260D(N) and the feed dogs do not move at all. Looks very clean in machine and screws as you showed in this video seem tight. Any other suggestions please?

Would you happen to have any information for a baby lock BL90 regarding the fabric not feeding as well?

Oldham Coupling I was surprised to see the drive in action, I learned about them 50y ago invented in 1821

One of my 1880 machines had blunt teeth, I used a saw file to give them a bit more bite, the material was bunching as the take up leaver was pulling back over the rounded teeth.
