True, Indonesians are mostly extremely friendly. But when it comes to religion, they don't want anyone to disturb. Not even a casual discussion. This kind of thing heats up pretty quickly. I can only suggest that if you are on that kind of mission, be straight forward from the beginning. Tell who you are, where you are from and what your purpose is and then ask them if they are interested to have some kind of discussion.

I like Indonesian people, i do business with them, for their botanicals. They are very nice and very warm people. I have nothing bad to say about them! I love the culture of bali and the spirituality of kejewan. They are a very passive and sweet people. That have that warm Islander spirit. I want to see Indonesia.
Just spread the kindness,always helping each other, peace and love for everyone around this planet, no racism whatever u were come from and u have religion u are....because every religion must be teach all that things....

Religion in Indonesia is very peaceful, illustrating how religion is mutual tolerance. You can see in Jakarta the capital of Indonesia that the mosque is opposite the church
Very different there, I love it. I need to work where I’m at now but want to live there really. And for a Muslim it’s great because there are mosques all around like there are churches here. The Sunni/Shafi Muslims of Indonesia are wonderful people that believe in being helpful and friendly to everyone (not like what is portrayed on the news). But there are Christian’s there too, many religions, 100’s of cultures, about 800 different languages spoken and many speak English. If you had trouble like he had, just look around and ask if anyone speaks English, you’ll find someone to help.
