I did very well on Jason's practice exams but failed the actual exam. I felt his course didn't prepare me well enough. Im now working on the LPI site materials before my second attempt.
Thanks mate, I have a similar opinion on Jason Dion LPIC essentials study course… not enough core grit just a basic overview of Linux on a whole personally
The biggest tip is to install a copy of one of the Linux Operating Systems on an old computer or as second image. This way you can really get a feel for the commands and OS. That really helped me as I had limited experience with Linux before starting the class. Good luck mate!
