I still listen to Roxy Blue’s debut all the time. So many great memories growing up listening to them here in a small town in the middle of Ohio 👍🏼

An Amazing debut album!! Still have the original cd. They should have been huge!

I used to see these guys hanging out at the Stage Stop before they were signed.

"And now Seattle". Pretty much sums up their downfall. If these guys came out four years earlier, they might have been huge.

Seattle had very little to do with it but these "rockers" needed a scape goat. Bands like this ruined the Hair Metal scene because these are bands that are just bar bands and not rock stars. They don't have the songs but since they have long hair they got a record deal.

@@javtimestwo Their songs were good. And they never had a chance at a second album. But I agree that there were too many forgettable other bands at the time.

@@creeper2054 I'm sure if you say the songs are good they probably are. Have you heard of Heaven's Edge? Now that record is amazing from beginning to end and that's another band who arrived late to the scene and had no chance to make an impact. But also Heaven's Edge were another band that contributed to the demise of "hair metal".

But passion doesn't pay the bills.

The part where dude asks them since the got a record deal is their dream about to come true? Sid says, it's startin' to happen.......now he's a dentist! Crazy how things change sometimes. Damn they were so awesome! /Love those guys too :)

A damn shame Geffen dropped them after only one album. They were one of the few bands from the tail end of the hair metal craze that I actually liked. They had a very raw, AC/DC-meets-Van-Halen, go-for-the-throat sound that was a breath of fresh air from the over-processed, keyboard-laden crap their peers played. Sid Fletcher could play some ripping lead guitar for sure!

It was a great throwback to classic David Lee Roth era Van Halen. By the time they came out, it was the height of grunge. So their scene was fading out.

i met Todd Poole when i was living in Memphis 2000 or 2001 maybe, he was in the band Rail then - my friend Angie took me over to meet him, we hung out then got to watch Rail practice. Then got to see him and hung out at Stage Stop when Rail had a show there. Todd's a really cool dude - very talented!! I have photos from that night, i should dig them out and put them on facebook or something lol

rikki has made it clear in the en suing years that he had no interest in the second generation hair metal bands such as Roxy blue .... you can tell he's not that excited about interviewing them.

i mean 1992 was still strong with hair metal. it seems that that summer of 1992 is when they really decided to change the sound 100 percent to alternative, ritchie even cut his hair
