true but I think Wiz isn't that bad comparing to previous versions and I use Nova launcher. the speaker does sound like crap but I generally use a mini jbl speaker or headphones which sounds very good.
I'm confused more than ever between the iPhone 6 and the S7. I'm too cozy in Apple's ecosystem and the iPhone 6 (128 GB) costs only $525, while the S7 costs $675. The iPhone 6S (16GB) costs $750 and the iPhone SE (16GB) costs $825 in India so they're out of my budget range, lol

I'm pretty disappointed by my S6 edge's audio capabilities, even though my headphones are super easy to drive. Now hearing that S7's amp is even weaker... well shit. It seems that we will never get the perfect smartphone and always have to deal with disappointments.
+Constantine Ivanoff Wow. And the S6E+ was actually pretty good for a phone. I think above the S6E+, you'd have to start looking at an iPhone, HTC, Sony, or the V10.
+JuanBagnell More likely a portable amp/dac. IMO, phone manufacturers have to take sound more seriously, like they have cameras for example. A modern smartphone is supposed to be an all-in-one device and I'm not letting them slide with weak audio, I feel cheated by paying for a premium device that doesn't have one of the primary functions (imo) on par. I'll hear the G5 with the B&O dac and then decide if I'm getting an S7 edge + a protable dac/amp, because it isn't the most elegant solution.

I just can't hang with portable DACs anymore. Not a fan of having even a small lump attached to my phone for headphones. Kinda spoiled by the V10 in that regard...
Does anyone use bloatware? How is it still a thing. It's been an issue since I got my Galaxy S2
I watched MKBHD's S7 review and then watched this one. Juan is blowing Marques out of the water at this point. So many more intricate details about the phone, whereas Marques seemed to stick with surface-level observations and glossed over a number of features.
timg2727 Mkbhd lately focuses more on "pretty videos" than diving deep in the tech.
I agree. people want MKBHD approval... but Juan is giving enough details to decide for yourself. I like Marques' videos, but mostly because of the quality. Juan is on to something special though.
As of 2015, MKBHD is pure eye candy and lacked substance, I kind of stopped watching the team crispy, because when I'm buying tech I need details.

I have a question Juan, did you test the audio quality from the headphone jack in the exynos 8890 version? Seems that the exynos variant has a Wolfson DAC that sounds better than the stock Qualcomm DAC.

It's weird, I haven't experienced any lag apart from a few hiccups once in a while. Not saying that it doesn't happen on everyone's device, but so far it's been pretty smooth.

new games are not optimized for new cpu and gpu, he should say that in the video

That's what I said with the 820 and expandable memory. And whoopty doo, a SAmsung has a nice camera? Have you looked at even a low end Lumia?
Nothing changes. There's no groundbreaking things that come with the S7.Samsung didn't reinvent the wheel.
Chuske 94' I'm not dumb, I just really don't care much for Samsung or Android in general having just switched from Windows.
It's still very clunky and there's stuff that is backwards. For instance, if I lock my device, then unlock it, I won't have service for up to 30 seconds. This didn't happen on windows.
And there's plenty more things that I dislike about Android, and have all right to. If I want a "nice" UNIX based OS, I'd use an Apple product.
USB-C Cant arrive that fast @ Samsung because of the galaxy VR that has a micro usb port
And seriously... Who cares about USB-C atm because no computer,laptop,tablet, charger etc has one....

Have you tried the fingerprint scanner on a galaxys6 with the marshmallow update? Based on your video, I think the s7 and s6 perform similarly now. I'm surprised about the bottom speakers, some reviewers have said its muffled. Perhaps they damaged it under water? Square says the speaker can be damaged in water.
It's possible. I recorded audio against the iPhone 6s and they were pretty evenly matched. I wonder if water can get stuck in those smaller holes maybe?
Yeah I was wondering the same thing.. MKBHD said the speaker sounds really tinny now, "because of the water resistance".. A little relieved Juan is saying it's not too bad

hey Juan. I'm wondering if your g4 still works... Have you updated it to marshmallow? Many g4 units are having the bootloop (which is a motherboard problem) and screen burn-in issue. And LG knows it and they acknowledged it. It seems like the affected batches where the units that are having the serial number that starts with 500 to 511. and they probably have fixed it in the motherboards with serial numbers that starts with 600... but I'm not sure because they haven't said anything about it. And the screen burn issue is also common. I did not know its possible to an IPS display. In the Philippines, many are complaining about it. And no one knows how or when will the bootlooping starts. Although many have said that they updated their unit to marshmallow and it triggered the bootloop but no one can confirm that because some have bootloops before the marshmallow. What do you think about this? Does the Lg v10 have this issue too?
PS. i know this is not related to the S7 but i wanna know cause I'm confused whether to buy the s7 or g5 or just save money and buy the g4 or v10. thanks!
PSS. have you seen the technobuffalo's review on the S7 (not the Edge version)? Though both of you did a great job on each respect, their cinematography plus your content and delivery would be a PERFECT review. Just a suggestion you know... and sorry for they quite long read
The Exynos variant sports a Wolfson DAC, instead of the embedded one on the Qualcomm. I would've loved it of you had tested the Exynos' model sound signature.

The S7 is still a pretty and very capable phone even in 2017. But I just prefer the S7 edge over the regular one.

Going for a secondhand s6 edge. 800 euro's for a phone is too much.
It's funny how Nexus 6P can handle 4 games in background without reloading any of them ( PVZ 2 , Real Racing 3 , Xenowerk and Injustice ) plus a lot of minor apps and the S7 has to close a lot of apps and games and it has better CPU and 1 extra RAM . I am not here to say bad things about the S7 because I am a fan of Samsung especially their unbelievable screens but I don't get why 6P is so bashed and hated .

If you use an actual Huawei, instead of the nexus 6P, you'll realize that, out of the box, it's much more aggressive at closing them.
