Sundowning is such a great album.
My fav album in a long time, this song is not even close to my favs but it's still great
Sleep Token put out my favorite album of 2019. Every song is so perfect!
In 2019 4 of my top 5 Spotify songs were on the Sleep Token album...so good.

If you get chance, see this band live if you can. I discovered them at a UK metal festival. Walked in not knowing who they were, walked out crying.

Nazareth, Calcutta and The Offering are all great songs by Sleep Token worth checking out.
That ending bit of the chorus hits you like a fat sack of ethereal nostalgia with hints of regret and malice.

He's talking about the goddess that the band claims to worship. If you kinda go into the "lore" of their band and the message behind them, is that Vessel ( the lead singer) was approached by a god/goddess named "Sleep". Which I think is more of a symbolic perspective than a literal one. But ya, all of their songs kind of go in that line of thinking. When he states that he is in debt, he is talking about the gifts and wisdom that is bestowed to him. He sees only scarlet and she sees ultraviolent is another term meaning that when he can only see in one way while she can see everything since ultraviolent is practically invisible to the human eye. Just a few things to think about I guess. *shrug*
Love this band. You should 100% look at more from them.
Red is the color of the root chakra, and violet is the color of the crown chakra; He looks for something real and heavy - She looks for something elusive and light - that's my interpretation of the scarlet/ultraviolet line

I know the lyrics help viewers but the the visualizer adds another level for the first listen. Btw one of the very rare times I feel like a song has been lyrically dissected well. Good stuff. Been trying to put it together for the past year.

Higher is kind of a repetitive song, if not for the breakdown it's probably not the best intro to Sleep Token. PLEASE check out songs like "Jaws", "The Offering", or better yet a full album reaction :D

Oh man that wasn’t a bass slide in the breakdown, the guitarist uses an 8 string guitar. These guys are absolutely breathtaking and you should definitely check out more of their music. Alkaline is a great track to get into them as well as The Offering

That's the song levitate and it's just about somebody passing away not necessarily alzeimers
I believe Levitate is the one you’re talking about. It could be about Alzheimer’s but it definitely about a loved one passing.

I think relationships are just meant to be different in problems. Overcoming fights makes both significant others souls grow with each other. Although better communication is key. But some men and women have insecurity and torture themselves mentally with jealousy, paranoia, etc. some people want to control. Some people want to CHANGE their significant other. Like if one person got into a relationship and had baggage or overcoming addiction, makes them vulnerable to the partner who wants to control the one with problems and change them to a more “reasonable” portrait in their minds. I think vessel means his gf is holding on to something that is already dead I.e. their relationship. And wants it to get better, but she puts him under a microscope and lashes out at him when she acts like he’s not on the same level as her. Probably from previous/past issues (cheating) whatever.

Not sure about anyone else but his vocals to me sound sort of like a softer version of Peter Steele from Type O Negative.

I don't get this band, there's so much I enjoy individually but the combination just doesn't hook me. Its weird and they're obviously extremely talented, but just not for me I guess...
