I’m going to Sedona next month . It will be my first time on the west side of the US but from the photos and videos it looks so beautiful I’m sure ima love it
Please do multiple parts. As a life-long AZ resident it is really neat to see some of the smaller places I haven't been yet. The more we can see the better. Thanks for the video.
I lived in Scottsdale almost a year and I loved it back in 2001. It was fabulous, Sedona, Old Scottsdale, Cottonwood! The art gallerys, shops! Oh how I miss it!
I have lived in the Clarkdale/Cottonwood/Jerome area for the past 5 years and love it. I'm working on building a house here. I also work in Sedona which is also awesome to see almost everyday. Been to Globe and Payson too. The natural arch outside Payson is worth a stop if you're ever in the area. AZ is just one of the best states overall.
@@mj-ls7qr8xp3n Not really sure compared to other states out west. Your best bet would be in the Seligman/Ash Fork area, although getting water there can be a challenge.
The wife and I bought our retirement house in Clarkdale in 2019. The Verde Valley has so much to do and see and it's all nearby. VV wines are really good! Sedona, Jerome, Flagstaff, Payson, Grand Canyon, the list goes on. We went between SW Florida and Arizona for 5 years, back to back vacations, etc... before deciding.
I live in Central Phoenix and my very favorite place to go is Canyon Lake. Deep in the middle of the Superstition Springs Mountains. Freshwater lakes. You can take a ride on the Dolly Steamboat or just sit on the pier and take in the fresh air and crystal clear water with the mountains in the back drop. The ride is scary. Lots of winding cliffs and the lanes are average size, but going to the lake you're safe on the mountain side. Leaving the lake you have the cliffs and there is but a couple of inches of room between the lane and the cliff. 25mph limit. You won't regret. It is absolutely stunning. The natives sell their jewelry there sometimes too.
Having been a fulltime RV’er for 4 years now I’ve been to them all. My favorite hands down is Biebee. Such an awesome experience and the mine tour is the best I’ve ever been on. 😀
Bisbee is my favorite. Left there in 1975 when Phelps Dodge transferred my father to Safford. I now reside in the Globe/ Miami area. Very good and enjoyable video. Have been to several of the towns shone.
Sedona is on a criss cross of 2 ley lines that's why you have so many vortexes there. Ley lines are magnetic. if you see a tree and it's growing twisted you'll know it's in a vortex.
I used to live in Huachuca City, which is an hour from Tombstone and Bisbee. Both towns are incredible. I highly recommend eating at the Screaming Banshee pizzeria in Bisbee and the Crystal Palace restaurant in Tombstone. Cochise County was also a major filming location for many classic Western movies.
The Crystal Palace is just a saloon with maybe a berger and fries. Everyone knows the best restaurant is The Longhorn on Allen Street. There is also a beautiful Mexican restaurant near the courthouse with excellent Mexican cuisine.
Great video! I've been in AZ for 30yrs now, and you hit all my favorites. Cottonwood is wonderful because it tends to be less crowded or expensive as Sedona, yet you are so close to Sedona and Jerome. I took my children there every year for just those reasons. We also took yearly trips to Bisbee. Take the more scenic route to both Cottonwood and Bisbee, you will not be disappointed.
Great videos btw. I like Sedona and Flagstaff a lot to visit. Gorgeous and lots to do. As far as a city, Phoenix is great for all sorts of things-especially in Scottsdale. Tucson is great also. But even hotter each year than Phoenix. Dining, events, shopping, and all sorts of city things that cities are great for- that is Phoenix and Tucson, and both are really easy to get around for cities. But both Phoenix and Tucson are way, way way, too hot for like 8 months out of the year. Sedona is about 15 degrees cooler, but still had like two months well above 100 degrees this year. I Like Bisbee, but it is touristy and limited. Good to visit once or twice. A great restaurant there also. Prescott is FREAKING AMAZING. Great weather, great place to live with all the amazing amenities. It has everything I could ask for in a big town and it is like central between Phoenix, Flagstaff, Jerome and Sedona. Just over an hour to any one of them. If it weren’t so expensive it would be my number one place to live in all of America. I hope to be able to afford Prescott some day. All the people I know who have lived in Arizona for 10 years or more either live there or want to. Maybe just my experience, but wow, what a great place with so much to do indoors and outdoors. Prescott also has the best weather in maybe the entire country- and I lived in Hawaii for 5 years! People who live in Prescott don’t even want people to know about it, because it has doubled in size in the past 12 years to over 100,000. Many people who visit wind up moving here. That’s either great or not depending on how you see things.
We LOVED Jerome! Stayed in Cottonwood and discovered Jerome by accident. Can’t wait to return someday and spend more time! Bisbee and Sedona were awesome too!
When we lived in AZ we couldn’t visit a lot of places because of work. Now we fly there almost every year to visit friends. We do “flying road trips” where we fly into the state and plan our trip driving all over the state to places we never visited while living there and to see friends. We love Oatman, Tombstone, and Prescott. The whole state is amazing though!
Tubac is an awesome little town that hardly anyone knows about. It's close to Nogales, and is really beautiful. Attended a chili fest there once, and we had a great time.
Thanks for sharing this. I used to live in Payton, Arizona #7 on this filming. Wow Payson has gotten bigger since I moved there in 1976 when the population was only 500 :) Everyone knew each other and people still rode horses into town and hitched them up to hitching posts, lol.
We Love Bisbee, Tombstone, and Jerome! We want to get to Sedona. I Love Arizona! These videos are making me homesick. I Really miss living there! Hopefully again sometime.
Love Bisbee reminds me of Key West only on a hill. Both are very interesting places and the people are from all over the world. Visit more than a day to really enjoy yourself
it's really sad "main street" America is almost dead because of big box stores and suburbs....i'd love to live in a city like these with a vibrant small business community
Great video! Hope to see a second and maybe a third part to this! I recommend the Benson area and it’s surrounding communities of J6 Ranch, Mescal, Saint David and Pomerene for the next part(s). Other small towns I recommend are Alpine, Safford, Sonoita, Patagonia, Tusayan, Duncan, Wickenburg and Coolidge.
Thanks for this. I am new to AZ & Phoenix. And I really don't want to live in a big city anymore. This is really useful & fun to see all the different areas that I can check out. So far am loving Bisbee.
I grew up in Phoenix. I’ve been to every one of these charming towns on many occasions. It wasn’t uncommon for my family to take a Saturday drive up to the Verde Valley. We’d stop at Montezuma’s Castle, Montezuma’s Well, Sedona, Cottonwood, Clarksdale and Jerome on many occasions. Jerome is my favorite town in Arizona. I also like Bisbee a lot. Thanks for posting this video. I’d love to see more.
I'm from arizona born and raised and my favorite town payson arizona was nice growing up never to crowded you could jump onto the main road with out having to wait but now its over ran with Californian and people from Phoenix
I lived for a while in Phoenix, in 1976, and one of the first places we went to was Payson. The road was 2 lanes then, and as I remember, Little 🇨🇭 Switzerland was there, and saw how it's grown when we went there from Phoenix in 2003. Also took the Superstition Trail, mostly unpaved through Tonto to Roosevelt Dam, and back through Apache, to Phoenix. Also have been to Jerome and through Sedona, much smaller then without the New Age style of today.
A great video but the one city I would never miss if I went to AZ is the city of Tortilla Flat (population 3) on the Apache Trail Scenic Drive from Apache Junction to Roosevelt Dam! There are many things to see on this drive but research it before you travel in AZ. Been there several times and my favorite place to go in AZ! Try out the Prickly Pear ice cream in Tortilla Flat made from the buds of the Saguaro Cactus! Best time to take this trip in spring when the desert is in bloom!
Loved that you included many of the towns I’ve had the chance of living in. Globe was my childhood and then moved to Sedona and now I’m living in Cottonwood. Bisbee is a beautiful town as well. Driven by there and Tombstone many times.
I was born and raised in Arizona and I have been to a lot of these small towns and others. To me there is no place on earth that compares to Arizona and I miss it badly !! Can't wait to retire and move back. Thanks for doing these videos and keep up this trend my friend ! I still have a few places in Arizona I haven't been to , especially on the eastern side of the state. Alpine being one of those places. Might consider Showlow, Concho, Pinetop and definitely Strawberry on your next video ! Again thank you and can't wait to see more !
Another great video. Many of the cities and towns are on my list to visit. Thank you for the excellent footage of these areas. Wishing you a super week. Stay safe. Hugs Susan
I've been all over AZ... My favorite towns are in no order Pinetop-Lakeside, Holbrook, Snowflake-Taylor, Pine-Strawberry, Bisbee, Globe-Miami, Sedona, Prescott, Payson, Egar-Springerville, and way too many more to list...
Hi! I currently live in Sedona and it is very beautiful here. In the late afternoon/early evening with the sunlight hitting the red rocks is stunning! Many many great hiking trails! I will be moving to Cottonwood soon and I love Cottonwood as well. Great downtown historic district along with some great winery's.
Cottonwood for sure. It is certainly a growing town. Lots of great dining experiences. Wineries & Breweries popping up throughout. Plenty to do outdoors at the rivers. Settled in-between Jerome and Sedona, and only minutes to and from both. No constant very hectic visitor traffic like in Sedona and more to do than in Jerome. Nice places to stay, and can buy a vacation home, or permanent home for a good value. But prices are continuing to increase due to the growth. Can go to Sedona, enjoy, and not have to stay and deal with hoards of tourists that remain. The frustrated residents have to however. Albeit most are part-timers. It is also easy access highway 17 from Cottonwood on Route 260. No multiple twists, turns, or traffic signals. Just seven roundabouts on the eight mile straight open road. But, although a bit irritating, meant to slow down speeders. So good for public safety. Can travel either south to Prescott or north to Flagstaff in an hour either way. Phoenix south in about 1 1/2 hours. Tombstone and Bisbee are a few hours more in the south. But the Grand Canyon is only about two hours north. All in all, having weather like the Mediterranean and given its geographic location to many other enjoyable cities and sites, Cottonwood is hard to beat as a great small town. Although not immune from issues that impact other cities and towns, it is still a very nice quite place.
Born and raised and lived my entire life in Phoenix. Been to every town on the list except Globe. Payson is by far my favorite area in the state. Tombstone is also a must see. Sedona has become a tourist trap but is still gorgeous.
Hey Pam, I live in the Chicago suburbs, well away from the madness that is Chicago. I'm looking to relocate to AZ. Nice quiet area with some nightlife... Dancing, live music, good food! Do you have your own recommendation?
I have a couple of pals in Texas. A beautiful lady who was the sister of a friend of mine. She lived in Galveston. I met a cool gent who was from Dallas too. I met a few Taxan's when I was in ALBQ. All straight-up cool people...
They could do so much to bring Jerome back to life ! Get some investment happening , and it would be a sheer delight ! Really, so charming. You are so correct, Bisbee is enchanting. Sedona shows such artistry. The statues, colours.. breath-taking scenery. Lovely examples. Thank you. More, please.😁
I ❤️ Tombstone and Sedona! Just arrived home this morning from staying 8 glorious days in Scottsdale and went driving around and sightseeing. Can’t wait to make the move permanently. 💕💕💕💕💕. I love Arizona, the beauty and the weather!
The weather is one reason why I love it, and the deserts and the scenery. I come from a cold winter climate that I hate so bring on the dry heat in the winter 👍
I’ve been to all these towns and I rank Sedona as my #1, but my trip last year to Jerome/Clarkdale/Cottonwood was terrific with wonderful restaurants and helpful folks! I’d love to see a review of seven more. I’d also like to add that Jerome is overhauling its town and there is some interesting history there for mining information. Globe/Miami is a great jumping off spot to go and see some cave dwellings. There are some of those in the Verde Valley as well. So much to see, so little time!!
Strawberry Az is beautiful too my Aunt & Uncle had a trailer up there and we used to go up all the time in the winter it was gorgeous when it snowed!! We got snowed in one yr in the ‘70s it was fun in a dbl wide w like 30 ppl there and a blizzard!! I was 15 at that time.. that was yrs ago but it’s still beautiful!
You forgot Sonoita which is the quintessential Ranch town not to mention is home to the majority of AZ’s best vineyards. At 5,000 ft elevation in a Southern latitude it has the best climate I’ve found in AZ and I’ve lived in Sedona and Cottonwood and North Scottsdale, Cave Creek and Tucson.
Hi KD Ranch, I have lived in Phoenix for over 30 years and Cave Creek for last few. I am tired of the hot summers and want some seasonal weather. It I could find a town like Cave Creek/Prescott with live music, plus some water, hiking, green grass that is conservative and not spoilt by California's to retire in and enjoy what would you recommend please? Thank you!
Hi Jackie. I’ve lived all over AZ for the last 40 years and truthfully Sonoita (an hour SE of Tucson) at a 5,000 foot elevation has been my absolute favorite. Cave Creek exploded and most all the ranches disappeared and Sedona is definitely beautiful but very Liberal and very Tourist oriented. I hike, ride, watch wildlife and Sonoita will remind you of Napa Valley or Prescott Valley with grasslands, rolling hills dotted with native oaks and lots of wildlife. We get snow 2-3 times a year but all our seasons are mild. It’s a huge birding area as well and the proximity to Bisbee, Tombstone, Patagonia, Nogales, Wilcox and others are all within an hour’s drive as well as Tucson. We are surrounded by Coronado National Forest and BLM land and some huge ranches. Lots of deer and antelope and other wildlife to see on a regular basis. You may also find Patagonia to be interesting which is only 15 minutes West of Sonoita. We have about 15 local vineyards and more are coming every year. Hope that helps and happy hunting!
I used to live in Arizona and I’ve been to all of these towns multiple times and the only town I don’t care for is the Globe-Miami area. I’m very fond of Sedona and Cottonwood and the small towns in the mountains!
A few yrs back, Bisbee had an antiquated sewer system. Oten entire neighborhoods rand their sewage through the 2 inch diameter handrails along the steep steps. I hope they spent millions to install a working sewage treatment plant as well as a piping system
Payson...Prescott....all northern az. Towns are very racist and getting other scary mentalities.....California ruined prescott unless you.ve got 700, 000 for a house or more....rent is insane...
@@red8723 sorry, i dont know where youre getting your information but i am married to a minority and have young children...we have never been treated disrespectful and were welcomed into the community with open arms...
I really enjoyed my time in Sedona. It was just a great place to spend the weekend, relax and eat wonderful SW food! Like deep fried dill pickles! Whee!!!
Good job as always. . They told prospectors, "all you will find there is your Tombstone" is how Tombstone got its name, is how I've always heard it. Please throw Sierra Vista a bone in a future video.
Love the video please do part 2 and more very informative. My wife and I fell in love with Arizona when we did Route 66. So many great little towns to visit. Our favorite so far is Jerome. You missed the best part of Jerome is the VIEW of Sedona and the mountains in Flagstaff beautiful and the weather is nice.
I like Williams too you go all the way to the end of town you can do a lot of backwoods hiking back there by that little dam take off into the woods and take your camera and just be out there all day!!!! 😎👍
A part 2 and 3 would be nice. I like Bisbee and Tombstone. Sedona is nice but too crowded. There are certainly some interesting little towns in AZ. Thanks for the quick tour.
@@VeganGroceryLife Sedona is a great place to visit but year round can be crowded drawing the new agers, spiritualist, artists, tourists, naturalists, etc. There is something for everyone but as a small town, there can be too much of a good thing. Not sure when there is a lull but that would be the time to go.
KittyKat i went through Sedona years ago, like when I was a teen, but I don’t remember it. It was on the way to Grand Canyon. I would love to return some day!!
@@VeganGroceryLife well hello neighbor. I'm on Maryland. Lived in Phoenix as a kid but still have family in Flagstaff so I'm out that way often and try to hit as many towns to visit. I've been all over that state. I'm with you - don't want to see snow but worse, the heat and humidity. I'm definitely not an easy coast person.
Real Nice. Love it. Lived in Prescott for half a year & was caught off guard by how cold it gets. Great place Anyway.(maybe Too many tourists) I think Jerome is Calling Me, and Bisbee. Both Look Really Cool. Great Video, Thanks.
Love the free espresso shot he gives downtown on the weekends. I almost moved there last year. If you live in Phoenix there is a small shop downtown that sells Bisbee roasters coffee 💜 it’s called Dessert crafted
Bisbee is my favorite small town ...really great old buildings! Cafe Roka is amazing and lots of the shop owners are really nice. Bisbee coffee tastes great and really gets you going in the morning lol
Yes please make more videos im retiring I lived in NYC Half my life and the other half in New Jersey but I still worked in New York City as a Union sheet metal worker and I own a horse and love the outdoors and ride dirt bikes and so on. Thank you for sharing.
We use to go to Tombstone weekly and yet we still never saw the entire town because each area is so interesting. The salons and souvenir shops are way over the top great. All the attractions there are great- the gun shows, gun fights, people walking around in old time western beautiful clothing ( men & women) - even the tourist are great from different parts of the world. We use to even drive up before a holiday and shop for gifts. Lots of the shops sell online ( I'm sure those interested could check shops in Tombstone & do their Christmas shopping from home as they virtually tour the stores and items while sipping on a hot cup of cocoa). •Sedona- my friend and I went there for a girls trip after a major relationship breakup. The town is so beautiful. I remember a hair stylist told us we should always get a hair cut after experiencing a breakup or anything negative in our lives. I absolutely loved it there. •I always wanted to go visit Cottonwood. I've been looking for possible small town residency 🤔. •Been to Bisbee many times. It's a great town with roller coaster type roads, homes built on top of mountains, lots of neat " Hippies"- the real loving good hearted people from the 60's& 70's & their kids- all now older, but oh such great folk. •Another town not mentioned which I absolutely love is Pine Top. It feels like Christmas everyday of the year. It's a fantastic town. •Tucson - not small anymore, yet years of growth before it can be called a big city . Love Tucson for its diversity in; ethnicity, languages, cultures, foods, all. etc. Lots of job opportunities and great housing. •It would be great to see more on each city by doing a doing a series. Maybe pick one city- dine in @ one or two dine in locations- actually eat there. Then pick an activity- even if it's just shopping ( bring some advertisement to shops who carry great stuff and need the $) maybe go to a park ( Catalina State, Sabino Canyon, Mount Lemon - local parks), museum, resorts/hotels and housing information on each city. ♡Well this was definitely a great Sunday drive to many cities- didnt even have to gas up, pack snacks/ water etc, most importantly stayed in and tried our best to stay safe for self and others in great Hope/Faith to beat this horrible virus -covid. ☆God Bless all & Merry Christmas☆
I love your channel. I have lived in Arizona since 1997 and just love it here and have traveled to many places but always looking for new places I have not been.
The lakes above Payson going East can be a nice walk; however, if a thunderstorm comes through exit quickly - the altitude is high enough that it's like you are walking inside the storm itself with all the lightning being created all around you. I've been there when everyone was running FAST to their cars.
Cool background music and not too loud thx. Hubby and I may move to Cottonwood, Buckeye or Peoria. Will be moving and renting in Glendale next month. I do like the greenery of Peoria and Cottonwood though, being a midwest girl!
I moved go az! I've livednin states WA, OR, TX, AZ AZ is my favorite it has the nature and recreation of WA and OR with the charm and history of TX and with no real sever weather threat like tornados, hurricanes, and earthquakes. Be careful tho, small towns in az tend to get really spendy for some reason. Phoenix suburbs are cheaper than some of these towns
Young, AZ is pretty nice too! Lots of history there from the old west to ancient Native Americans. Close to the Sierra Ancha too! It will be my next home as soon as I find a nice home for sale...
Pretty good picks... Verde Valley area is a favorite, many visits to all. Number of great stories about each. Check out Patagonia. Nice area, good mid way between Tucson and Bisbee. Also Sonita for the wine.
Gregory W. Johnson When I was a kid and going to Prescott was a treat. Now, no one can even rent anything under $1000.00, can’t buy anything under $275,000 so no one with a limited income can live in any of the places.
My favorite town. And so much history. Well he did call Arizona the copper state. I know very few people may call it that but he should read his license plate!😂
Dudleyville, AZ here. A few miles south of Winkelman and on the San Pedro River. Just west of Hwy 77 but still off the beaten path! Huge cottonwoods on both sides of the river and only 1/4 mile from home! No stores here but it is nice and quiet with a ceiling full of stars at night!
yes like prescott, "I don't like my State (CA) and they charge me lots of money even though I voted them in office, so I will move myself to a conservative town with my values and destroy it."
DJ Sifu what the hell??? You want to move to Prescott so you can ruin it??? I hope you have second thoughts because our people in Prescott will not allow that to happen!!!!
Really enjoyed seeing these towns! I’ve been to Sedona and just loved it! I would also like to visit these other places also! Thank you for sharing: )👍
Thanks for the video! I have lived in the beautiful Verde Valley for 13+ years now and love it. There is so much to see and do, but yes, tourism is ruining it and people moving here from Cali are driving up the property prices like crazy! Visiting the Payson/Pine/Strawberry area many years ago is what drew me to the beautiful northern part of the state. Prior to that visit, I thought Arizona was all boring desert! So not the case, it is a very beautiful state with so much to see and do!
I absolutely love this video. Hubs and I are about five years out from escaping Illinois for AZ, and a laid-back small town is definitely something we're considering.
Tombstone has some strange friggin vibes. I stayed there just a few weeks ago for three nights. Tooled around that whole area exploring. But in the town itself, it was definitely different. I found it pretty hilarious that the Circle K was basically the grocery store for Tombstone. Best stocked Circle K I've seen! I lived in the French Quarter back in the day, and it was like a western town feel of FQ. I couldn't believe I caught that feel, sippin my latte, and eating my Circle K donut on Allen St. at 6:45 in the morning.
@6:47: That's no alien. Looks like Left Hand Path types are hawking their wares in Jerome. So Sedona's my #1, Bisbee 2nd, Cottonwood, Jerome, Tombstone, Payson, & Globe/Miami.
I’ve been to all of these except Globe Miami. They really are beautiful and historic, thanks for showcasing them here so others who may not have ever been able to hear about them can find about about them and visit.

Cottonwood is a safe pace to live. We only have so much land so we can only get so big.
My wife and I had a vacation in AZ about 5 yrs ago. Hit 3 of the towns you mentioned; Bisbee, Sedona and Tombstone. Loved them all
Thanks for sharing this. I used to live in Payton, Arizona #7 on this filming. Wow Payson has gotten bigger since I moved there in 1976 when the population was only 500 :) Everyone knew each other and people still rode horses into town and hitched them up to hitching posts, lol.
Do horses have strong legs?
We Love Bisbee, Tombstone, and Jerome! We want to get to Sedona. I Love Arizona! These videos are making me homesick. I Really miss living there! Hopefully again sometime.
Love Bisbee reminds me of Key West only on a hill. Both are very interesting places and the people are from all over the world. Visit more than a day to really enjoy yourself
Lived in tucson..cottonwood..clarkdale...and prescott...in the late 70s. Loved them all....bet they are way different now..🤔🇺🇸☺
..lol… and next year they’ll be different from today. Everything changes, every day…. Get used to it…
it's really sad "main street" America is almost dead because of big box stores and suburbs....i'd love to live in a city like these with a vibrant small business community
Main Street is alive and well in many Eastern PA areas.
Walmart put a lot of mom-and-pop stores out of business in Globe/Miami. Darned shame.
@WheelsAlwaysTurning China has taken over our country. They have 200 business that some were American, so I only shop in American businesses💜
the Walmarts have done in the Ma and Pa stores.
@@NancyLake444 So who's fault was that? Walmart or those of us who spent our 💰 there to get the "best deal?"

I’d love to see two and three keep going showing the nice towns in Arizona thank you we appreciate it
What is the biggest city close to these towns in this video that you can fly into, I would love to go there for a week.
Thanks for this. I am new to AZ & Phoenix. And I really don't want to live in a big city anymore. This is really useful & fun to see all the different areas that I can check out. So far am loving Bisbee.
Alex T. Tucson
I'm from arizona born and raised and my favorite town payson arizona was nice growing up never to crowded you could jump onto the main road with out having to wait but now its over ran with Californian and people from Phoenix
man that sucks
r u guys usually pro trump down there?
@boxoftissues lets go
I love it all... I fell in love with Arizona bak in 62 it's so gorgeous
The great thing about Arizona is all those Qwaint small towns in the mountains and deserts!
I lived for a while in Phoenix, in 1976,
and one of the first places we went to
was Payson. The road was 2 lanes then,
and as I remember, Little 🇨🇭 Switzerland
was there, and saw how it's grown when
we went there from Phoenix in 2003.
Also took the Superstition Trail, mostly
unpaved through Tonto to Roosevelt Dam, and back through Apache, to Phoenix. Also have been to Jerome and
through Sedona, much smaller then
without the New Age style of today.
Looking forward to visiting these towns! I’m moving to AZ in the fall.
Sedona and Bisbee is definitely on my bucket list.
Stay safe. Hugs Susan
Yes to more videos, please. My grandparents lived in Payson from 1975 til they died. Payson has certainly grown since 1975!
Jess Wilson I love the White Mountains, used to go trout fishing on the Black River at Buffalo Crossing.
Good to hear, because I need to find a nice place in AZ, not too costly, with some nightlife...
DrPhibesxx7 I would do Slow/Pinetop then
@@karengordon6610 Hey Karen, thank you so much for the recommendation. I'm going to check it out 🙂
DrPhibesxx7 You are welcome. I think you and your wife will really enjoy it there, they have lots to do for everyone.
Arizona is my home. I’m from Texas but Arizona has my heart. ❤️ Great video showcases beautiful parts of our state.
Sorry, I meant Texans...
@@DrPhibesxx7 😃👌🏽Thanks!!
@@DrPhibesxx7 Lots of awesome places. Tucson, Tombstone, Bisbee is awesome! ❤️😊
Lavern wow! Yep I am opposite lol. Many people here love the snow and cold as well. I would rather see palm trees and warm days in the winter.
Desiree Barrientez luckily we’re building a lot of apartments and condos in Scottsdale for people like you.
D. Mills that’s good to know!!
D. Mills I’m not looking for an apartment or condo, I want a large single family one story home ❤️
Bisbee once boasted one of two Stock Exchanges west of the Mississippi, the other being San Francisco, it is now a bar.
Sedona is our best place to visit, besides the other places mentioned on this video. Thank you for sharing.
It’s full of Californicators!
My mom was born in Jerome and moved to bisbee. Because my tata was gonna work at the copper queen. Hard labor and mining run through our blood.
We will be mentioning Sonoita in a follow up video to small towns around Arizona.
Hi KD Ranch,
I have lived in Phoenix for over 30 years and Cave Creek for last few.
@@kdranchaz3240 Thank you very much, I will check it out 😀!
Jackie Collins you’re welcome. You may discover as I that southern AZ aka “the sky islands” is in fact AZ’s best kept secret. Good luck to you.
I enjoyed watching this video. Very informative and helpful.
Thank you.
I used to live in Arizona and I’ve been to all of these towns multiple times and the only town I don’t care for is the Globe-Miami area. I’m very fond of Sedona and Cottonwood and the small towns in the mountains!
What are the small towns in the mountains?
A few yrs back, Bisbee had an antiquated sewer system. Oten entire neighborhoods rand their sewage through the 2 inch diameter handrails along the steep steps. I hope they spent millions to install a working sewage treatment plant as well as a piping system
i live in payson and cant imagine being anywhere else...moved from the casa grande area 8 years ago and this is definitely my home....

I feel like too many people are moving to Sedona. But it seems really pretty!
@@VeganGroceryLife Sedona is a great place to visit but year round can be crowded drawing the new agers, spiritualist, artists, tourists, naturalists, etc. There is something for everyone but as a small town, there can be too much of a good thing. Lol there is tons of things to do but it’s usually nothing that appeals to city people that move up here.
From New Zealand and visited all these on a motorcycle trip a few years ago. Enjoyed every one of them and felt it was time well spent.
Yeah, Cottonwood !Love it👍❤️🇱🇷
I love your channel. I have lived in Arizona since 1997 and just love it here and have traveled to many places but always looking for new places I have not been.
Globe is sad, but Dream Manor is a nice place to stay, esp over New Year’s.
The lakes above Payson going East can be a nice walk; however, if a thunderstorm comes through exit quickly - the altitude is high enough that it's like you are walking inside the storm itself with all the lightning being created all around you. I've been there when everyone was running FAST to their cars.
Ed Schefflin was told the only thing he would find in the area was his “Tombstone”. That is the genesis of the name.
Yeah some of this history is real spotty lol
Cool background music and not too loud thx. Hubby and I may move to Cottonwood, Buckeye or Peoria. Will be moving and renting in Glendale next month. I do like the greenery of Peoria and Cottonwood though, being a midwest girl!
I'd loved to see a part 2 and 3. I'm considering a move to Arizona and am definitely interested in small towns.
Yes agree !!
I moved from IL to AZ a few years ago. I can be honest and say best move ever!
I picked yuma..ready to go elsewhere
Young, AZ is pretty nice too! Lots of history there from the old west to ancient Native Americans. Close to the Sierra Ancha too! It will be my next home as soon as I find a nice home for sale...
Pretty good picks... Verde Valley area is a favorite, many visits to all. Number of great stories about each. Check out Patagonia. Nice area, good mid way between Tucson and Bisbee. Also Sonita for the wine.
A short jaunt from Cottonwood to Jerome, too!
You left out Prescott. It was the territorial capital of Arizona.

Gregory W. Johnson and Flagstaff, but maybe they aren’t considered small towns any more.
Twice.

Thanks for the video! I have lived in the beautiful Verde Valley for 13+ years now and love it. There is so much to see and do, but yes, tourism is ruining it and people moving here from Cali are driving up the property prices like crazy!
