That's just how crossfit is :)
That's crossfit
I have to agree with the other replies to your comment. Thats just crossfit
@Zayne simard moore hahaha, I get what you're trying to say. CrossFit is just a loving and welcoming community
Two minutes is an eternity when you're exercising
'Till you get used to it.
@@scflair6916 sweetie, I do it 5 days a week, 8 hours a week. Going hard on two minute reps feels like an eternity.
So you're used to it. Right? 5 days a week, 8 hours a day of hard exercise? What are you even doing. Special forces military units rarely work out like that.
@@darkhorse5232 cross fit, and it is not that much 2 hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday. One hour Tuesday and Thursday. I rest Saturday and Sunday.
@@darkhorse5232 he said 8 hours a week, not day. Smart ass
These are basically the PE tests I have in school except we aren’t timed and we just go on as long as we can
And we cant rest
If you are talking about the US Nation wide testing... Think about it, this vid is based on the Navy's physical testing, its just America trying to get us in the mind set to be soldiers some day.
FBIMOUS377 That is so false. It is about keeping your body in good condition to live healthy and encourage others to better themselves as individuals. If you are not sure about something, don't speak on it.
@@johnvickers432 Sounds like what the government would say to keep us from realizing the truth.
we’re timed lol
I love how Helen, was pushing her opponent Elaine to beat her score. That's a true team player. Nobody left behind type of mentality.
I remember doing those situps and hoping I didn't fart while someone held my feet... Thankfully, it was a good friend holding my feet...
joerogrz 😂😂
U may have a worn out sphincter
I swear this what I say everytime we do the prt “please don’t let me fart in this girl face”😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah we have all been there for some reason you always wanna fart when a person is holding your feet hahahaha
I love the way these girls really supported and encouraged each other for this
Its called crossfit community
CrossFit is a really supportive community. You should try it sometime!
That's what the crossfit community does. Even when they are competing against each other, they encourage each other to push on!. It's an amazing community.
Juan Alan Medina Campos what’s CrossFit? How do you join?
howo357 Basically you research on which CrossFit gyms are in your area and you talk to the coaches and they will set you up with a deal!
As a former Navy Veteran who spent 4 years on a submarine, and now a crossfitter, those ladies would have absolutely crushed 90% of the dudes I served with.
then your comrades were absolutely weak if they cant barely accomplish 40 push ups in 2 mins for example.
Tim Gallagher
Naw dude, 90%! Let me guess you were a nuke? I did 16 of 20 yrs on fast boats (silver dolphins) most shipmate scores fell in the upper mid level for all age groups. Failures were the dude’s who did nothing for 6 mos then tried to work out a week before the test. Over a quarter of all the crews I served on, crew members were in the excellent to outstanding range. PRT after deployment is where you would see lower scores as working out underway is limited to minimal equipment or the want to give up valuable rack time..
@@dronefeverpty9594 but can you though?
@@runsprints4life767 hands down and all day long. ijs. Dont get me wrong, these girls are quite fit, but being able to crush the 90% of a Navy crew sounds kida LAME.

Elena Lakotsenina same, this is what I have to do in school for the fitness test
Cops should have to pass a physical test every 6 months like this.
At least half the police force would fail
That’s based on state laws and departments. Most state police have semi annual pt tests.
they run fast enough as it is bruh.
I encourage all law enforcement to hold themselves to a standard. In see way too many 300+ lb officers here in ny and it is an embarrassment to our states already poor image.

WAIT WHAT!?!?!?!?
I really don't want that r/whooosh- but I don't get it. What do you mean with he has no legs? I WANNA knowwwww
The lap was the one that showed the difference between the two crossfitters for me. One where you can really see a body built for strength and a body built for speed.
I was thinking that too. The women in the shorts looks like she has thicker muscles and the girl in the pants looks leaner which might be because she is more cardio based. They both look great though.

Bruh people be out here saying their pushups don’t count or making fun of their form but good lord I hate military style pushups like that’s all the triceps and crap and that’s so impressive they got that high
And the under VERY hot sun! That's just wrong. They could have a heat stroke!
you can get high scores when cheating
I did that regularly while I was in the Army.
It was super impressive how far they got. But I think you should stop when you run out of strength and start humping the ground instead of maintaining form.
@@justfine8647 what?
Dude I'm from Houston it's like 105 outside every day . I run 3 mile warmups it's not that damn hot
The ones pointing out the negative. Y’all have to remember they are CrossFit not military. So I think they did a really good job in general. Yes it wouldn’t have counted for push ups (form) but their runs and sit-ups were pretty good especially since they don’t train for this stuff.
They are just the ones that failed the test
CrossFit is way harder than the navy PRT but it’s essentially the same thing, just higher intensity. Most people in the navy don’t train for the PRT anyways. They just workout regularly or do CrossFit and there are of course the people that don’t train at all.
Well said-valid observations.

As an ex-army guy I can't remember women standards but I'm pretty sure they would have done decently on situps and 1st woman would have aced pushups because she had great form. You really were expected to hit your chest to the ground when I was in (which was about where 1st was) and 2nd would have perhaps had a few not counted b/c she did the wave with her body to get up.
I had to run a mile and a half when I tried out to be a state trooper, I did it in 10 minutes and 50 seconds and still didn't make it in....I was like wtf really. I think these two ladies did an awesome job on everything they did! Congrats on passing these strenuous tests!

People bashed them for the push up don’t realize that in the military the female and males don’t do the same type of push’s up BECAUSE men and women are built different. Considering all of that they did fantastic
What are you talking about?? In the military, the females and males do the EXACT same type of push up, just not the same max and min requirements. Regardless they tried their best and did pretty well

One thing I learned after 40 years in this world is that positive reinforcement is the best strategy to keep doing something we believe is hard for us. Yelling doesn't work. Instead of yelling, a personal trainer could say ' so far so good', 'come on your can do more' , 'good girl' or 'you're doing a good job'. I'm a teacher and it works with my students. Sometimes when people are stressed around me yelling, complaining, charging me the impossible I keep working and repeating this words for me.
agreed. in working out, your CNS is vulnerable and yelling only adds to the stress, making the movement more taxing. The increased cortisol isn't good while trying to lose weight and in muscle recovery.

@@user-sc8ph2ds2m Im on a phone :V
@@user-sc8ph2ds2m Sounds like somebody needs to get laid, sad level 1 troll ...
Everyone responds different. Yelling works for me. I'd rather that than someone softly telling me "It's ok, you're doing great!" Helps me react under anger and stress. Nothing in life is easy and you can't create strong individuals by sugar coating shit for them.
I love how they didnt time lapse the workouts ,they show you how difficult the exercises actually are ,even tho they gym .
“I’m a CrossFiter and I hate running” lol. We know that’s why people CrossFit. Lol
I wouldn't be telling people that!! Maybe you can explain why crossfitters do every exercise incorrectly???
have you ever watched the crossfit rebook games? just curious
Boimeirelles I haven’t. My comment wasn’t an attack on the CrossFit cult, merely an observation I’ve had on my military base watching the CrossFittians run.
Ryan, I can attest to the fact that distance running destroys the body's power. Have been a massage therapist for 22 years, and every military person I have worked on has a jammed body from running. 44% of vets are in chronic pain. Running is why
T Kamp interesting. I’ve been in the military for 17 years and being an ultra runner, I average 2,000 miles plus per year. I feel like I’m 18 so I must be an anomaly. Are you saying doing CrossFit is better on your body? Thank you for working with my broken brothers and sisters. Respectfully, Ryan
I don't see how they counted the push-ups. I thought the whole body was supposed to come down at the same time, and not the butt in the air movement. Granted, I could not do 44 push ups so I'm going to shut up now.
Elena Kostyreva i was thinking the same thing 😂
For the situps, the elbow just have to touch between the hips and the knees on the thigh. If he explained that, they would have done alot better.
A correct push-up in CrossFit is with your butt high, it's much more difficult than putting all your body weight down at the same time
Your feet are suppose to be together as well.
Technically the test was failed long before 44 pushups were done so don’t be too hard on yourself
these two are simply amazing. push ups are extremely hard for women.... most female sailors can't even do one push up properly (lowering yourself until your elbows are at a 90 degree angle)
I don at 90 agree is the best
Upper body for women is insanely hard I’m in the navy & ive been specifically training upper body for 3 months and I just make a solid 25 💀
Form fixes that. I have female soldiers who can max the event.
Thomas Jackson I pass my event, it’s 19 & obviously I have proper form after training, the only reason these girls started lacking form was because the ground was blistering and they maxed out early on but kept pushing
liv simon the maxed out early on? They didn’t do one push up correctly. And how is the ground blistering on Astro turf? The point is, form is everything. If my female soldiers can knock out 36 and probably more than my male soldiers, then there is no excuse to me. Back not straight, asses pointed in the air, not moving down past the 90 plank as one single unit. It would have been 0 every time. And there is no lifting of the hands on the ground. They would have been disqualified
Being in the navy, these girls did exceptionally well. Every female I have had to do a PRT with if they passed was due to the CFL(command fitness leader) being extremely lenient on form... unfortunately, the mass majority of our sailors( both men and female) do not take physical fitness as seriously as they should. Heck, 80 percent of the men in the navy are not in good as shape as these girls. Good work💪🏼
Retention > standards
i really want to see high school athletes try this
Ella Mei YESSSS
I used to do 75 pushups in a row and 300+ situps in HS and I was a 220lb lineman.
During the fitness test on my junior yr they had to cut short the push ups and situps because the athletes were taking too long to quit (Given the ones observing were our coaches)
The only thing I don’t crush as a high school athlete is the navy seal swimming

Push ups were pretty impressive considering they pointed their elbows down, making it almost all triceps with very little help from their chest.
I dunno, her glutes were not flexed so she wasn't fully straight, and if people say she has a big butt, that's why well you're wrog cause you're ass flexes in a way where the medial glute pulls in closer to the centre of the gluteus maximus
Women do pushups differently than men generally. When I was training for this test I was making very minimal progress dong it the way I saw male instructors do it and my trainer recommended I change my hand positions as the way I was doing it before is difficult for women. This may not apply to all women but for me at least it did
First girl definitely eased her push ups by keeping her glutes high

I am a professional bodybuilder and I do push ups everyday. And pull ups and dips...
The prt is 100% a joke lmao We literally have the easiest physical test in the military. This is basically just to make sure you can move 😂
I don't think you've seen enough body builders, body weight is good to top things off and literally every person looking for hypertrophy and strength will do pullups unless they can't do them
If they did a real navy PRT, the counter shoulda given them around 95-97 reps
We do push ups pretty often in cross fit. Both handstand and standard.
“You think in the navy we have shade?!” 😂💀
Mekenna Southern 😭😭 that had me rolling
Last time i was deployed the desert had no shade.
I was a CFL (Command Fitness Leader) when I was in the Navy. These girls did great. When people think of the Navy they immediately assume that we’re all Navy Seals, but NO. When you think of the entire Navy, think of a group of employees working at Home Depot. BOOM... Navy. These girls did exceptional in this PRT. They would be CFLs. The Navy PRT is a joke and needs to be held to a much higher standard. Period. Anyone who is in the Navy or was would agree with me.
Danny Livas lol yea they did really good. I usually just bust out what I need and then drop lmao I never go for the full 2 minutes. They are beasts and at the end of the day if someone is giving in honest effort just count it🤷🏾♀️😂
Danny Livas You just said,”...employees working at Home Depot.” I did 4 years and left the NAVY as a BM3. The NAVY PRT is just fine for the NAVY mission.
I could barely make the run. I hate running so I am glad that the standards were pretty low. lol
I remember having to remind people of my score. They were all talking and not really paying attention. Nobody took this test very seriously.
Abel Moreno it may seem so but it’s actually not. There are A LOT of sailors getting in TROUBLE because of their health. It is because of the horrible standard. So it actually is effecting the Navy mission with everyone getting put on FEP and sometimes getting forced out of the Navy.
The navy would be lucky to have Either one of these 2 women!!!
This is awesome. I'm going to start challenging myself with this and see how I improve. Thanks for posting.

@@AustenAlexander Safe travels!
I'm no Crossfitter or apologist for them, but they were really good sports about this. I suspect that if they had had time (i.e., days) to fully digest the rules of each event, they could have practiced the most efficient technique for the crunches and push-ups, and probably maxed both. Specific comments: (1) Austen jokingly pressured them to touch their elbows high on their knees for the crunches, making them harder (even though Austen explained the rules correctly). (2) Their push-ups look odd, with the chest going down and the butts remaining more up. The 2nd gal did a noticeable dipping motion. Some commenters indicated that this is a Crossfit thing. That should have given them a bit of an unfair edge. However, I've seen all sorts of horrible push-ups among Navy folks taking the PRT. (3) They both made their push-ups harder on themselves with their very narrow hand positions. That makes you use smaller muscles and is also awkward mechanically-you have to go down further to make your upper arm parallel to the ground. (4) To run that specific distance on a track, it really helps to do targeted intervals. Again, with more time to practice (not so much to improve their base cardiovascular fitness, but rather to figure out a strategy), they probably could have taken a lot of time off their runs. Lots to learn from observing this video!
You dont need time to practice 3 of the most commonly performed exercises in every sport!! They do sit ups and press ups and the 1.5miler in cross fit too. If you cant do 50 press ups, 85 sit ups in 2-min and run a sub-10 then you need to look at your training as something is wrong. They were just not very strong and thats the problem with crossfit - it gives this false illusion of strength until they do exercises properly and then they fall to shit. All of their scores and performance were pretty poor. My 17-year old niece is stronger as i have ran these exact tests on her and she performed slightly better on all exercises with better technique and she only has 8-months training with me. Their press up technique was poor because of weak core muscles and poor neurotrophy.
@@wilko4085 Interesting. I have been fooled by that illusion of Crossfitters, not having been involved in it directly myself. But I have also been doing the Navy PRT for decades (and maxing it, not to brag, but just to support my next point) and know that you can significantly increase your scores in each event by practicing the movements exactly as you would on the test, per the very specific rules of the test-even if you are already strong.
Bla bla bla gay
@@HolySoliDeoGloria Yea, train for the exercise you want to improve in, specifically. It's a common concept. I do expect the crossfitters to be overall capable though. But, someone who specifically trains to improve the same exercises they are going to be testing will obviously be better at it. Even Wilko's 17 year old niece. Sounds like he just has a prejudice towards crossfit a little.

Lol I can't do even 1....I have my military fitness test to-do soon
i can barely do 10🤣
Thats 15 more than me lol
I see what your doing. Your trying to get that recruiter bonus.
😳 he gave it a heart
VladimiR BLAT 😂😂😂 I’m done
Jimmy P 😂😂😂
lol
Helen can get my Tricare
Damn the woman in this challenger are in wicked shape, anyone who talks shit doesn’t understand cross fit 😂 I’d be dead after that warmup
Marcus Alvarado bull I can do 70 sit ups in in a minute and 60 pushups in a minute. They are not that good in shape and are you is the question. Think before you type
@@ericphalen7109 bro ikr crossfit isnt accualty good they really dont teach u proper technique my cousin and her partner have been doing crossfit for 2 years now and she still hasn't gained muscle
“Good shape”. They may pass for women’s standards for the Army (if this was the Army PFT), but if guys did this, they would be lucky to pass.
Eric Phalen more than one full extension sit up a second, sure we all believe that. These women are clearly fit, don’t see how you can take away from that tbh
GeogsPivotStudio I believe it, especially if he does Navy standard situps. Doing 60 pushups in a minute is also not that hard either (I’ve personally seen people knockout 100 pushups in less than 2 minutes).
Him just enjoying the fine view 6:34
4 seconds later.. *this is perfect!*
At 19 years of age I passed the physical fitness test for the United States Navy without even trying. Now at 52 years of age I can still almost pass all of the Navy physical fitness without even trying. In fact I can pass all of, almost all of the Navy Seals training physical fitness, except the Run knees and ankles arthritis
“I’m feeling pretty good, I’m back at the gym after going for walk/runs on my lunch at work.”
Watches video
“Well then, I have more work to do than I thought”
This would’ve been cooler if it was crossfitter vs navy seal
Alecks Martinez 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
We have seen it, Josh Bridges was a SEAL
♥️
crossfit wouldn’t even make it passed the 1st challenger for a navy seal😂😂😂
Are you out of your mind? Not even pro nfl players or rugby players can stand a navy seal training day.
10/10 would let Helen train me all day long. Good job ladies 💪
the trick is to pace yourself.. 2 minutes is a long time while exercising 😂
Couldn't agree more! At the club I train at (not cross fit) we have to do 7 minute burpees. At first, it felt like hell and the time felt like an eternity. But after time and more training, I could easily reach the 100 mark and surpass that to get 130. It really is all about pacing.
Heck yeah it is! hahah definitely pace yourself so you don't burn out within the first 30 seconds. Slow and steady wins the race!
If my coach sees their push-ups, he would defiiitely smack a back scratcher on their booty hella good while yelling: FULL RANGE OF MOTION! PERFECT FORM! 😂
When the taller female started struggling with her push ups I felt that! I can't even do 7 😭😭😭
In reality.... half of those pushups would not have counted on a real apft.
This was the reason why I pulled up the comments.
Ikr
I thought so too. The first girl’s pushups should have ended around the beginning of the time. Her form was not sat.
They should do Marine Corps PFT
Both there form is bad

Btw guys according to the person checking the results i thought i was doing to many wrong and rewarding myself with to many penalties. So thats why i got a drastic improvement.
That's fantastic! Keep up the great work!
Greaaat 💪keep going champ
The brunette is gr8 with aspiring her partner. I hated pushups in Army ugh... but those D.S.s create miracles!
Way to go ladies!!🏋️♀️❤👍 I'm a weight lifter and when it comes to cardio I'm dying in the gym lol

Forgive me. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
"When in doubt, Hump the ground."
I made my stupid self laugh cuz i wanted to rhyme and this is the first thing that came up.
these ladies killed it!! 😤 crossfitters are so strong 💪🏽
Have you tried one of these with gymnasts?
I saw a video where male gymnasts did 40+ pull-ups. They are incredibly fit
Swim and run might give them trouble, but they'd Destroy everything else
Try it on PSO Pole Champions - I think they would crush it.
Oh my God I love him already he is so gorgeous.
He is so funny lmboooo. I knew I liked his energy from that intro!
These ladies were WARRIORS!!! They busted it OUT!!! ESPECIALLY on those laps!!! 😍🔥
i’m so confused on how this dude has no legs
he’s wearing camo pants
@Johnathan Black he doesn't have very big calf nor hamstring muscles. That's what having "no legs" means.
Chai the original commenter was making a joke about the camo pants though^^
@@ilgimdehaaydn8154 original comment never mentioned anything about camo tho
Chai thats the joke, you cant "see" his legs because hes wearing camo pants. Its a popular joke, a few people have commented the same thing.
David Goggins: don't stop when you're tired stop when you're done. Stay hard!!!
Black shark swimmer if david goggins did this he won’t stop until he collapses or dies
@@joshuadardashti8675 lol I believe u
Within 5 seconds of watching the sit-ups, I was bushed 🤣
Whenever i get the urge to exercise, I lie down until the feeling passes away 😂
(not my quote)
" ok lets start. 3...2..." *Ad* Me: KJSKDSF
Kudos to these ladies! Great fitness, physically as well as attitude.
