Ryan McGuire that’s the Elektron experience lol... gotta read 2 manuals, watch 8 videos, and you’re still finding out new things. That has been my experience with the Digitakt. 😩
Had this thing for about a year now and I still learn new things about it all the time.. I think that’s the draw to it.. you don’t get bored with it and you’re always growing with it
This has been the most helpful video for a complete Elektron newbie. Just ordered the RYTM and swatting up on it big time before it arrives! Thank you :)
Excellent video with SO MANY tips per minute. I don't usually watch videos as they tend to take too long vs just reading the same info, but yours are 100% worth it. Subscribed :)
Great Video - this the second time I’ve watched it. What distinguishes it for me is the fluidity of the moves Jade Wii makes, their musicality and all accompanied by a flawless narrative. This demonstrates the spontaneous genius of the Elektron workflow.
You're an excellent teacher. Clear, concise, helpful! Would love if you made one for the Analog Four mk2. Just got it and always love seeing some good workflow tutorials!
I'm waiting on mine for delivery so this is an awesome demonstration. I love how she is stretching out with is this and building upon it ! Thanks for sharing.
What abou tge dual vco ? Is it better than the analog four for nasslines ? Tge rytm seems to have more low end and agressive sounds than the analog four...
Excelent video! i have a little question please :) I want to buy a drum machine with synthesized for can change the sound and do original stuffs, also can put samples and work with this samples deep. What drum machine you recommended? please! greating from chile
@@JAdeWii_ OMG Thank you soo much for your time and for answer me... Between this drum machine the jomox Alpha base and Dave Smith tempest, which one do you prefer and why? I have the money to buy one of these and I want to make the jump... And your advice will help me a lot! please.
Thank you for making this video! It was really helpful. I just bought the Digitakt recently. I learn some new skills that will really help me. Is there any way you can go over the lfo? That is really confusing for me.
I love the rthym. I sold my Mk 1 to buy Mk2...However, now I'm torn whether to buy mk2, or just get the digitakt and put the left over money to something else..
Jade do you know if can you trigger midi sequencers on synths to start playing (like with an mpc live) with their latest midi update from this month or is it still not possible?
Hey, I’ve enjoyed a lot of your videos. I have an octatrack mki and want a RYTM to pair with it, do you think it would be a mistake to get an mki to save money?
thanks for the video! whats your opinion of the Rytm MK2's as i read a lot about bugs. would you recommend the product? Or do you prefer another in terms of drummachines? its quite an investment!
So, I did want to use only an op-1 for live use... but I feel the drums are not warm enough?... What about Moog dfam...and can you sync op to that or any other drum machine. Which drum machine is small and analog heaven? thanks.
AdrianVino Op1 can make some good drums, the drum sequencer makes it tedious to do live mutes though. hmm small and analog... maybe some of the MFB stuff
Dawless Jammin' Im talking about setting up projects and bringing sounds from the +drive to whatever pool is beneath that, etc... But I don't own any Elektron gear anymore so Im going off memory.
The latest is 1.40D it will still freeze but some guys say that did help with them. They are working on it but keep your fingers crossed and maybe scout some alternatives. I had mine go at a show......it was awesome
So you bought one? I thought that you were into MPC gear instead? I like it but there are tons of hardware/firmware freeze bugs and that is why I am holding off until Elektron fixes the Rytm issues.
Another excellent and helpful tutorial :) Dumb question but when I switch on my AR MK2 all the lights are blinking in a strange way (not like a classic animation). Does it happen to yours as well ? Thanks
Hans Klok it’s not only an analog machine, it can also play samples... also, the retrig feature will allow you to make this trap hi hats think easy :-) So definitely it should be all good.
Sounds tin and like a toy. Not professional sounding. The trigs are ok but real music is not made by chance. But still a fun toy to jam along, pricy and dicy!
I’ve read the manual, watched cuckoo, watched macprovideo, but I still learned three brand new things in this video!
I learned things about my Digitakt!
Ryan McGuire that’s the Elektron experience lol... gotta read 2 manuals, watch 8 videos, and you’re still finding out new things. That has been my experience with the Digitakt. 😩
Someone is finally explaining Elektron the way that it should be explained, simply and effectively. Where have you been?!
agreed

Also great job w the video! Best one on UA-cam to see the rytm workflow

This is my go to guide video and I learn something new every time!! 🙌🙌 thank you so much
One of your best tutorials, well done Jade!
thanks! this has made my first 24 hours with the RYTM so much fun!
I'll needed this video cheers
Getting sound when hitting pads but no sound when I try and play back sequence. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
great video ! thanks for the tips I was clueless otherwise. you are the queen !
Thank youuuu… Finally a straight forward tutorial
You're an excellent teacher. Clear, concise, helpful! Would love if you made one for the Analog Four mk2. Just got it and always love seeing some good workflow tutorials!
Nice straight forward video. Thank you very much! 👏🏻
Honestly, one of the best tutorials on youtube for the rytm
I'm waiting on mine for delivery so this is an awesome demonstration. I love how she is stretching out with is this and building upon it ! Thanks for sharing.
Best Rytm workflow video out there! Thanks 🙌
Nice straightforward explanation! Looking to upgrade from the RYTM Mk1 and this showed me some new things that definitely make it worthwhile.
Excellent, thanks for this.
Thank you very much for this. Looking to get one of these and this video helps out immensely. Much appreciated

This is my third elektron piece of gear and the easiest to learn thanks to your comparison to the other gear. Wow.
Excellent tutorial - Detailed AND concise! Not easy to achieve both.
awesome. thank *YOU*
Great tutorial! Filled in some gaps for sure!!!
I'm so happy I found your channel! Thank you so much for this..
Great tutorial, thank you. More please!
Really digging this channel, thanks!
Thanks for doubt this!
From the outside, the Elektron workflow seems pretty impenetrable. You did a good job making it seem less.
Once you get your hands on one the workflow is relatively straightforward. But incredibly creative.
Short and good what to ask more :)
3:25 was just perfect. At the end beat felt overcooked.
It's amazing how musical 0 - 3:25 sounded. It takes determination to learn this damn box, ugh.
Thank you...very good tutorial!
nice beat and great video, thanks
I just got the the Digitakt (Elektron newbie) Really helpful tips thanks love the channel.
best Elektron tutorial out there thanks!
Thank You!
Absolute gold.

Great video! You’re really good! ;)
I really need this in my life now...
Record button is LIT!!!!!
thnx for feeding us with knowledge
super helpful, thanks
so good
Did you know that holding record and double tapping play toggles auto quantize?
yeah, I just don't like my whole track quantized
10 minutes well spent...nice one :)
This was sick
David M Thanks for watching!
great
Can you add probability to the retriggers, so that for example the step triggers 50% of the time but the retrig only occurs 25% of the time?
cheers!
Any chance you could do one about the analog engines and sound generation and options in those?
is not possible to record straight with the pads? thanx
Wonderful, make more, spot on, quick, easy to understand, if you could make one for midi set up that would be amazing, thank you.
What abou tge dual vco ? Is it better than the analog four for nasslines ? Tge rytm seems to have more low end and agressive sounds than the analog four...
Can it sample the way a digitakt does?
yes
JAde Wii thank you.... hmmm, so maybe I should upgrade to an analog rytm then
great tutorial can you do one showing sampling
great tutorial, do an advanced one!
Excelent video!
i have a little question please :)
I want to buy a drum machine with synthesized for can change the sound and do original stuffs, also can put samples and work with this samples deep.
What drum machine you recommended?

greating from chile
RYTM will do the trick!

get the mk2
Is that a sampled kick?
Jade do you know if can you trigger midi sequencers on synths to start playing (like with an mpc live) with their latest midi update from this month or is it still not possible?
Very nice short tutorial!
can you conditional trig on a retrig so sometimes it plays once and other times it plays however many its set to?
junglsmor you can condition a step with a retiring on it, yes
Hey, I’ve enjoyed a lot of your videos. I have an octatrack mki and want a RYTM to pair with it, do you think it would be a mistake to get an mki to save money?
Can’t live sample into the mk1, pads are slightly better on the 2. Up to You!
please make more rytm videos
Seymour Maxfield They're coming. :)
thanks for the video! whats your opinion of the Rytm MK2's as i read a lot about bugs. would you recommend the product? Or do you prefer another in terms of drummachines? its quite an investment!
So, I did want to use only an op-1 for live use... but I feel the drums are not warm enough?... What about Moog dfam...and can you sync op to that or any other drum machine. Which drum machine is small and analog heaven? thanks.
AdrianVino Op1 can make some good drums, the drum sequencer makes it tedious to do live mutes though. hmm small and analog... maybe some of the MFB stuff
You should do a video about the #1 most aggravating thing about Elektron devices. THE FILE SYSTEM.
things are better now with the transfer app!
Dawless Jammin' Im talking about setting up projects and bringing sounds from the +drive to whatever pool is beneath that, etc... But I don't own any Elektron gear anymore so Im going off memory.
How can I clear recorded automations?
Hold shift and no
This machine has a sequencer resolution of 384 ppqn, according to soundonsound.
Thank you very ''MAČ'' :D
Very useful video, thanks! Too bad my Rytm keeps freezing. Do you know if an OS update will fix this or is it a hardware problem?
Yes, they're working on a new update for freezes!
Thanks great to hear, thanks!
The latest is 1.40D it will still freeze but some guys say that did help with them. They are working on it but keep your fingers crossed and maybe scout some alternatives. I had mine go at a show......it was awesome
Just got a new one, no freezing anymore! Preinstalled version is 1.40D indeed, so guess it's from a fresh batch as well.
That doesn’t look fun at ALLLL. 😁😁💪. Good vid. Thanks
So you bought one? I thought that you were into MPC gear instead? I like it but there are tons of hardware/firmware freeze bugs and that is why I am holding off until Elektron fixes the Rytm issues.
There's always problems with Elektron gear when it comes out but theyre pretty quick to make software updates. Its solid!
wow your speaking really fast in this video :)
Another excellent and helpful tutorial :)
Dumb question but when I switch on my AR MK2 all the lights are blinking in a strange way (not like a classic animation).
Does it happen to yours as well ? Thanks
Alexandre Auvergnas Minacapelli glad you found it helpful, and yes, this is normal

Do you think the rytm MK2 is also suitable for hip-hop and trap music? Or would you go MPC/Maschine for such genre's?
Hans Klok it’s not only an analog machine, it can also play samples... also, the retrig feature will allow you to make this trap hi hats think easy :-)
So definitely it should be all good.
$5.00 Venmo’d to first person to tell me how to delete samples from project sample sound pool.
lol I wish remembered, but I haven't had the RYTM in a while :'( there is a way tho! It's in the settings and something like (select all)
Sounds tin and like a toy. Not professional sounding. The trigs are ok but real music is not made by chance. But still a fun toy to jam along, pricy and dicy!
bello ma non so bene l'inglese !! asino che sono
