    Thank you for a none influencer review. It is good that you have had experience on three (out of 5) other suspension wheels. As we all know there isn't a EUC manufactory that makes the perfect wheel. I also liked how you spoke about the goods about the other wheels. It is hard as a consumer to figure out what you want when everyone is saying that you need speed and torque and nothing else. As a first year rider this was a great review to watch. Thanks.

      Thank you. I have bought and sold too many wheels at a loss based off others recommendations of what "I need" so I decided to make my own channel with honesty and reviews of what I see, like and dislike about the wheels but not so much "pressure" people into what wheel is "best" I still LOVE my S18's and will never sell them and from a 220lb rider that's saying a lot lol

    I picked up an S22, first time rider. Going to lower the pedals/suspension and move the pedals forward. The sheer weight of the S22 is what's throwing me off being 155lbs rider. Legs are all bruised up just trying to keep it upright with one leg LOL. Pretty excited for the ride once I get used to it :)

    As for the practical nature of the bouncy shock. I would imagine it helps you go up and down curbs more easily. This is certainly an advantage over shocks that "smooth" the ride but lack the spring to get up and over big curbs safely.

    Oh and btw I would be carefully about adjusting the pedals and suspension, the casing material the screws go into is softer then the screws and there has been reports of people damaging the threads.
    When I get mine back I would like to lower it maybe to the middle setting see how it rides, at the default that being the highest I had a really hard time in wind almost lost it at 67 kph.
    As bouncy the ride is if psi is too high taking drops is like no other euc I have cleared stairs and soaked up the fall like a boss.

    Great! Super nice to have someone compare this wheel against the wheels you own, ride, and are that familiar with. The question I come away with is: the bounciness of the shock - is it possibly spring related? Like get a spring for heavier rider, or compress the spring w/ the top spring nut ring? I was happy to hear you're just a teeny bit taller and heavier than I, so a closely comparative reaction there. Too many reviewers are the weight of a fly, LOL. I would definitely like to follow your future impressions of this wheel, so I'll subscribe and hope to hear more. Thanks!

    • @EUCWayOfLife
      @EUCWayOfLife  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! Yes I actually ordered a whole new shock that came with a 650,550,450lb springs so I will be a doing a video of swapping it and how to swap the coil and reviewing the 650lb and 550lb. The springiness/bouncyness is definitely due to the 750lb coil, my hero has a 650lb and its like riding in a old Cadillac. So I think a 650lb or lighter is going to be needy for better road/soft tail riding for most riders.

  • @mortgagejunglist

    Curious to see if you try different geometry settings (shock height) and any experiences how these affect the balance of the wheel. In some other peoples' videos we see the S22 weight tilted toward the rear, cos of the shock. How much suspension travel would you sacrifice to get the wheel geometry more balanced?

    • @EUCWayOfLife
      @EUCWayOfLife  2 роки тому +3

      I don't think the shock and linkage is brought to make the wheel "back heavy" as people say, the hero and the master both have the same issue and the master suspension is nearly under the wheel. I road the wheel first 10mi or so in the stock center height position and raised it up to the highest and biggest difference if say is it made the pedals higher and the wheel feel more nimble, I don't think it impacted the feel of the shock or balance at all.

    Found the spring lock was way loose on the S22 out of the box. After cranking it down as much as I could without damage or the correct tool, it did tighten up the springy feeling a bit. I've had 0 issues with either s22 it is unfortunate to see those with issues including yourself and hopefully your issues will be resolved promptly.
      I was forced to update one wheel out of the box, chose to update the other and have since deleted the app from my phone. To many firmware and bms issues and bricking I said why risk an accidental app connect, forced er on display and a broken wheel after an update so I deleted the app. Wheels can't connect to internet on their own so hopefully I don't run into some of these issues.

      @@EUCWayOfLife Its a great whee if it works. But bricked is bricked. And yea firmware updates may brick yours too (good move, your wecome for having posted that). Now lets hear how you've got a 1000 miles on it. I got to 200 miles on the 1st wheel till it didn't charge. less than 10 on the 2nd. KS advice to cut wires and join them solved the charge problem but seems to create a hall sensor voltage issue making the wheel intermittantly have electronic-jaming sound over about 10mph. To me I'd rather ride my MTen3 than that POS. Maybe someday KS will hsip out the replacement parts but I even doubt that will fix it without a total redesign to the ground circuit. (20v diff from charger gnd to bat gnd, etc). The hardware design is fataly flawed. Keep yours app/firmware upgrade free - or I'd guess you's will brick too.

      I have to HT C38 and the hero is a narrower wheel and much more comfortable/easier to transition too. The stock shock on the hero is trash(supposedly new units have rebound adjustment) I swapped mine to a 650lb 190mm Keenso shock and love it. Power wise the hero is more than enough wheel even for someone my weight (220lb) if you don't have either wheel I would get the s22 for the price if you have a hero it's not really worth the upgrade. It's so bouncy off road I climb some mountains and do some trails the only way I could climb was to let the air out. Let me know what you come up with, I had 28 psi in the tire and bounced so bad i didnt make 30 feet and had to go back down up a shale rock hill that I climbed with s18 no issues.
    The s18 also gave issues when climbing however you can lock the suspension out that helps grip surface.
    Same hill I climbed like a champ at 18 psi on the s22 but then comprises my rim over the sharp shale rocks. I purchased this for offroading but it seems to bouncy, i do really like the stock tire.
    I had to send to the techs to repair it was hammered with issues out of the box not sure when I get it back.

    • @EUCWayOfLife
      @EUCWayOfLife  2 роки тому

      I think our best bet for our type of offroading is not tire pressure it is replacing the coil with a 650lb or less. A lot of people complained about the s20 coil being to stiff welp that is the same 750lb coil on the pre production as it is on the s22 production.
      That being said I ordered a whole new shock that came with a 650lb, 550lb and 450lb to try and see if it makes the wheel better. I will report back once I install and try it.

    Bro, don’t do reviews on suspension when you have zero ideas on the functional adjustments. Dampening is the action that slows or speeds up rebound and compression valving. Preload sets the suspension height so said adjustments out the travel in the proper area. You people that say your part and review items and don’t have a clue can determine if “new to the sport” people will buy or pass on a wheel. Out of the box 1 of the 2 wheels has a weird grinding/whining noise and it ended up being loose screw somewhere. Other than that I have had 0 issues so far with either wheel and they may have replaced my hero for favorite wheel!

      @@EUCWayOfLife I definitely will, I’ll be adjusting it based mostly on jumps and bike trails, then secondly the road since it’s mostly smooth where I’m at
