Thank you for the information shared in this interview. It is stunning to hear myths debunked and the importance of working from the inside out. I appreciate the methodical and clinical approach as it shows improvement is not by guess work or with a general paint brush across clients. I truly appreciate Dr Nina Ross !
Very powerful interview! I have been diagnosed with lichen planopilaris and have been frustrated with the lack of information out there. Thanks for spilling the tea on steroid shots (which didn't work for me) and for your helpful nutrition tips!
@@annsettles224That's wonderful! I hope your hair and scalp are doing well.😃💜 CCCA can be such a pain to deal with, and having a great hair loss specialist to work with makes all the difference.
This was great to listen to. I had an online consult with Dr. Nina Ross a few years ago when I was living overseas. I ordered the recommended specific starter kit and shortly after my hair started dropping more. I think I had way too much stress, emotional blocks and suffering I was going through and had not addressed it. On top of that, I know my gut health was not the best. I also wasn't patient. I think I also may not have been using the products properly and didn't realize I might have the already damaged hair start shedding. I was a bit of a tornado but once I got my diet and eating on track and exercising on track my hair loss seemed to calm down. I did have high blood sugar, cholesterol which didn't help my CKD. I can definitely see my earlier errored thinking towards Dr. Ross' approach and thinking that all the supplements and products didn't work. I would highly recommend her. I am back on North American soil and I am definitely going to see if I can travel to her for a consult. So much of what she says here is so encouraging, and real and you can tell she does her research academically along with what she sees and practices every day.

This is the best hair loss video I've seen online due to the holistic approach and positive mindset. So many dermatologists give you medicine and leave you feeling hopeless, when we know as humans we're more complex than that and can heal ourselves naturally.
You're such a blessing to the hair loss community! Thank you for uplifting, educating, and bringing awareness ❤ You're personal story resonates with so many people.
Hey Lynn. As always, this presentation is valuable. With a history of autoimmune disorders spanning 50yrs , I should’ve connected the dots sooner. In the past couple months I’ve started from scratch. Ground zero. I am careful not only of what goes in my body but what I use topically - especially on my scalp. Now, having very short hair, I shampoo almost every day, to avoid clogged pores . . All the remedies from a-z that previously captured my attention, I ignore. I am beginning to see results after all this time by using a simple scientifically proven natural approach based on my physical and genetic profile. Thanks again Lynn.. this info is spot on, especially about oils on the scalp!!!!!!
I see Dr Ross and her process has been helpful in my hair regrowth. I have CCCA and the hair if filling in on my crown but not as fast as Id like. Its a journey, I know. The appts are only once per month so you must have an at-home plan for yourself and still see a dermatologist.
Great video, good to hear about more natural approaches. Currently using Finasteride and Monoxidil topically so I'm wanting to do a more natural alternative.
Thanks for this! I follow both of you. Just recently went to see a trichologist but I have so many questions. Does anyone here know how we can verify if someone is a licensed trichologist?
You're welcome! Here's a directory of Trichologists: worldtrichologysociety.org/directory/ Here's another one: www.instituteoftrichologystudies.com/trichologist-directory.html and one more: aahsd.com/. There are a few more that can be found on google.
I had virtual consultation with Dr Nina during the pandemic and because of the advice she gave me I was able to go back to my GP and got a referral to see a dermatologist and had a biopsy twice by two separate dermatologists. I am in the UK and the only treatment on the NHS is wig prescription which I am now on. Dr Nina is wonderful
Watching this video was very helpful and informative. I would really like it if one of u woman reach out to me. Cause I have lupus and I have thyroid issues and I know that both of these diseases can cause me to lose my hair and my is gone around my edges and i have noticed that it takes my hair to grow length wise as well. So I would be grateful if one of u would reach out to me.

How can I get Dr Nina to advise me for my individual hair loss. I’ve been to my dermatologist and using meds. What would rather use natural solutions.
She mentioned in the video that she can see patients virtually. Feel free to visit her website to get more information.

Will the scalp biopsy be in the specific location of hair loss, or would it be anywhere on the scalp?
That's a great question! When I had my biopsy, they took it from the location of hair loss.
This was great thanks so much for the dialogue just giving great insight into what is going on with women and their hair loss. 57:02
I always felt like something crawling under the scalp not anymore,,i told my doctor it was just ignored..
Just use clove & rosemary water on my hair
