Man it’s always been my dream since daddy long legs to get an lj. The more I got into suspension designs I wanted to set a trailing arm rear with out cutting the tub too so this is so cool to see someone else do it and stand by that it’s possible with no real compromise.
We just finished the rubicon and it worked like a dream! It can be done and I’m loving how it all came out. Don’t give up on that dream! And don’t be afraid to ask questions once you get into the build. 👊🏻
85% bought not built. He mentioned Erik Miller built the front steering geometry. This is Erik's old LJ. He did the LS swap, trans swap, Atlas, Hi-9 axles, etc etc. If Erik built it, it was built right (2x King of KOH) These chuckleheads just installed a cage, stretch armour and designed a rear trailing arm suspension. Bought not built. 👎
@@Maxxis1941 That’s incorrect. Yes Erik did the LS swap with the trans, atlas, and axles, which Collin called out in the video. But this Jeep is far from “bought”. 3D Off Road reworked the entire suspension system, including custom shock bracketry both front and rear. The rear was stretched 4” and a 26 gallon fuel tank was added. Matt also redesigned the steering and lengthened both the drag link and track bar to improve steering geometry and overall steering feedback. The entire PSC steering was replaced. The old wiring harness was ripped out and replaced with a new one. They added seats, a cage, a new (actually functioning) gauge cluster. The list goes on… oh & Erik is actually proud of how the build was carried out and all of the improvements that went into it. Know the facts before slandering a build of this quality.
@@Built2Wander I'd say that "math" is a little skewed in favour of yourself, but that's no different than any Jeeper. As an example, we all think our $20,000 rigs are worth $150,000 😅
Guy's you gotta see this in person. It is amazing!! Collin, congrats on the build! Now don't go scratchin my wheels up on the Rubicon... Love Uncle Sully!
You’re the best, Sully! Good news - we replaced the wheels before the rubicon so they are in perfect shape for your build. 😎 thanks for always watching and supporting!
The Dakota dash looks amazing. I’m curious since the website says that cluster is for 97-03, but all LJs were after that so did you have any fitment issues?
Ok, I saw that you replied to me but you must have deleted it. Yes, I am joking but I now wonder if you don't see the connection in your own name. "Samuel LJ" which is a black LJ and "Samuel L. Jackson" who is a very famous black actor. I thought that was the entire intent of the name. If it's really just named after your son, so be it. It's really not a big deal either way.

I wish I had the money for building rigs like this! Sweet ride!

SICK JEEP
Sweet rig brother
Bring it to the Texas Spur Jamboree in march. A lot of us run LJ s too and we have the best granite wheeling in Texas!
I might take you up on that!
Sick as “F”! Enjoy it.
That is sick, I don't want to know how much that would cost. Amazing!
Very nice 👌
Love the Jeep

Nice build. I have a stretched LJ on 40s.
Man been wanting to see this build video for weeks. Awesome build guys🙌.
Thank you!!
A W E S O M E !
This thing would be so nice if they did the same shock mount setup as the trail reaper, that way it can be low and still have the up travel.
Got a part number on that gauge cluster? It's the 6.2 stock?
Yes
What belly skid/ front control arm bracket are you using?

Definately didn't folly Larry's LCOG build he did so well with Daddy Longlegs.
That thing is MASSIVELY tall.

"Samuel LJ"...lol! Clever but...perhaps just a little bit racist.
