Jeep LJ is known for being the king of off-road vehicles Great video🔥🔥🔥
I certainly feel the LJ just might be the greatest Jeep, Jeep ever makes! Thanks for watching!!! 😁🤙
This is by far the best walk around video of all time. You explained everything about your rig and why. Everything is purpose built and done right. You didn't get tangled in technical jargon, you didn't dumb it down. You just spoke about it honestly and straight forward. What a fantastic machine. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I never get tired of hearing stories and details of the Reaper!
Thank you guys for the continued support! You guys are the best!
He hit it on the head in the video... Power Tanks are a game changer and once you go down that road, it's hard to go back. Every interaction with your company has been positive, even when sorting out issues - you guys rock!!!
@@carlsandvik2893 I couldn’t have said it better myself!
I have always loved the Trail Reaper such an awesome set up .
Thank you so much!
Beast! Love that it still has the 4.0. Especially with seemingly everyone swapping in an LS.
That cage with the suspension tie ins is a thing of beauty. ✊👏👍
People swap LS’s for a reason.
@@metwono You don't say 🤷♂️🤣
It's a beautiful machine but an LS swap would really put the finishing touch on it.
Thank you for seeing the beauty of it! I’d love more power and having an LS would open up a whole new world of possibilities pushing the limits of my driving. But... I kept it stock for the simple reason of CA smog/registration. I drive it on the street all the time and I didn’t want to worry about how the register it every other year. As it sites right now, it can pass smog anywhere I take it! It’s actually funny to see the faces at the smog shop when I pull up. 😂
@@thetrailreaper6317 Funny, I chose a 4.7 Stroker crate motor for the same exact reasons. Moved out of California since the install but I don't have to worry about any emissions issues either. No CEL's and she runs like a top. All the torque! Golen Stroker FTW
It was cool to see that you have a little garage like most people and built this thing yourself. I always felt that this was some big shop creation. Good Job.
It really was a team effort. I started building the axles in my garage and collecting parts for years but when it finally came down to actually doing it, I was going to need more help and space. The guys at Camp Rock Fabrication really helped me pull this whole thing together! Clint is an amazing fabricator. He lead the charge on that side of the build and Marc was instrumental in sourcing parts and company connections. 🤙😁
All that being said, I do a lot of work on the Reaper in this little garage! I’ve had to be extremely creative with space management to make it work. It’s a lot of Jeep in a little space but if I can do it, so can you! 👍😁👍
@@thetrailreaper6317 I did most of the heavy fabrication on mine when I had a tiny 16x20 garage. Since then I have upgraded to a 40x80 so space is less of a concern now. I do seem to pack it pretty full at times though. I currently have 3 Jeeps, two full size trucks, a camper , and a Fiero in there.
@@DaddyJeepGarage Is kill for that kind of space! You’ve got me jealous! 😉👍
@@thetrailreaper6317 lol.... Yeah. I got lucky picking this place up.
Awesome build and video, I’m starting an LJ build and now my heads spinning 😵💫
Thank you! The Rockstar team knocked this one out of the park! New builds are always exciting and daunting at the same time. I think you’re starting with the best platform you possibly could! The options are endless... please feel free to message me on Instagram @thetrailreaper if you have any questions about your build.
@@thetrailreaper6317 Thank you for that, but I'm banned from Instagram, for what I don't know lol. Tell you the truth I'm going to reach out soon to RockStar Garage and see if they'll build it for me, but need about a month or two until I'll be ready. Hopefully it will all work out and hope to wheel with you one day . . .
Coolest LJ I know of! Been watching for a while. Love it.
Thank you so much!!! That really means a lot because there are some amazing LJ’s out there. Thank you for watching and the continued support! 🤙😁
@@thetrailreaper6317 if I ever end up in Big Bear I'll reach out. Maybe we could run a small tire Jeep friendly trail? Ha ha ha 😂
You guys build some badass jeeps!! Hands down dro!!
Love this build!!! Great video!!
The Rockstar Garage team are the magicians behind the scene. I agree, they did an amazing job making this video!
Thank you 🤙😁
@@thetrailreaper6317 Agreed! Best wheeling channel.
That is a badass rig! Great job on this build, she is beautiful yet fierce!
It’s been a labor of love, hate, blood, sweat, tears, and pride. It’s an honor to have so many see the beauty in it the same way I do. Thank you!!!
Very sick Jeep!! I'm just getting started putting a 3 link, coilovers, stretch, and full hydro steering on my stock 2 door jk manual. I've got my plan and parts in place and your video is the best I've seen and gave me some new ideas while confirming my own plan. Thank you
Very cool to hear the story behind your rig, love the build! I was just up on Gold Mountain over Memorial Day - awesome to see you bombing through the trail we just enjoyed.
That’s so cool to hear. That video is one of my favorite projects for just that reason. So many people have driven Gold Mtn so they can really relate when they watch that video. I’m so pumped to hear you enjoyed the trail and the video! 🤙
I love seeing a build on a budget looks like a fun build
Awesome rig and video! This is my favorite Jeep on the channel!
Heck yeah! That’s awesome because we have some amazing vehicles on the team. 🤙😁
This Rig and Scott are hands down the coolest absolutely love this setup - so motivating - the wallet 💰 is having a cardiac arrest 🤑 but I will find a way. Rigs & Trails
OMG you’ve got me cracking up about your wallet! Thank you so much for your kind words! 😁🙏
I love the trail reaper!! Perfect build !!
Thank you for the love!!! 🤙😁
Respect man! One bad a$$ rig! I have a TJ I'm daily driving/building now. I love everything about the trail reaper!
This Jeep is my favorite Jeep I’ve ever seen. Just everything about it is exactly what I would do to mine if I had an LJ. It’s just an absolute badass! 16” of travel all around, with coilovers and triple bypasses! The bulletproof axle builds with an awesome suspension. Beautiful cage, beautiful seats, exterior is simple but badass. Just an awesome build man. Seriously. The best I’ve ever seen.
WOW... Thank you!!! It’s been a good Jeep for sure.
This is now my favorite Jeep🙌🙌🙌
That’s what I’m talking about!!! 👊😆
Very Cool! Been watching the Trail Reaper and you for awhile, awesome Jeep awesome driver. Loved hearing about your build.
Increíble that still has the 4.0 motor i thought has a bigger motor
Your Jeep is awesome the fact that you said that you run junkyard axles (moded ofcourse ) makes you more friendly to people with low budget .. like me
I just return from my first test ride after i finished tho whole swap ... 4 link coilovers 1 tons ( junkyard) and 48 iroks ... i still have to do things bu i enjoy your videos
Stay cool !!!
Thanks for the reply to my question regard the evap cannister. Great build!!
one of my favorite jeeps...
Great video Scott!
Thank you! The Rockstar Garage media team did an outstanding job making me seem interesting. There’s nothing they can’t do! 😉👍
@@thetrailreaper6317 buddy that was all you! Definitely cool meeting and talking with you at Moab, look forward to wheelin with you again one day!
Best stock based jeep period
Dude... thank you!!! 🤘😆
I like this thank you for the video
Awesome build
lovely build!
Love this build!
The suspension towers is what makes that build. It’s my favorite, just needs a lsx or a hemi, I go ls if it was me, but all my cars I swap lsx
I feel ya! Something is going to happen one of these days. 😉👍
What a beast!
Great video
I absolutely love your Jeep and want to build an old CJ5 like you're LJ. I plan to stretch The Body and Frame. I want to run large tires like your jeep has. Do you ever have any problems with being hassled or ticketed for having the tires hang outside the fender so far?
This is my dream jeep 🔥🔥🔥
So nice to see a build without an LS for a change
Love it thanks 4 the video.
Really selling that K&N filter. 😂
Every part on my Jeep doesn’t necessarily work for everyone and that’s totally cool. You’ve got to use what works for you. That being said, after adding my supercharger there was a noticeable difference when I changed my filter so that’s why I felt it was a noteworthy talking point. 🤙😁
Très belle machine aboutie. 👌👌
What state do you live in that allows you to drive on the street with those giant tires sticking way out of you fenders. It's a great build. Thanks
Awesome Jeep. I love you kept the straight 6. I went with a stroker 4.9 from 505 (pain in the butt to do business with them) if that is what he really sent me. Anyway what radiator are you using in your Jeep and have you had any problems with it? Thanks
Badass Rig!! Out of curiosity do you regret not going with leveraged rear suspension (trailing arms)? Im thinking about going leveraged in the rear of my VERY slow YJ Unlimited Build but with how im doing the tub stretch things will be very tight so ove been wondering if its worth all the extra work to make it all fit.
one wicked ass Jeep!!
can tell nobody is gonna thumbs down this video
Not everyone love what I do and that ok. I can only be me and drive the way that make me happy. That being said, I’m pumped your enjoying what I do. Thank you!
@@thetrailreaper6317 I love what you do brother! I had the exact same thoughts as you trying to upgrade my '92 YJ. Sadly, I havent had the funds to do what my mind wanted. Still have it thank god, just barely drivable, so one day I'll be able to do what you and I both love. I needed your exact specs like 17 years ago.
If you had to start all over would you go manual or auto transmission? Im looking to buy an LJ for rock crawling.
i have a question on the hydro steer. im planing a build later through camp rock fab i live in lucerne valley. i want my rig still street leagal i was told going full hydro steer makes it not street legal no more ty.
Very, very nice rig man. Hey, do you have a link for the Scotch mount mic holder?
Sure do: tinyurl.com/a65whaau
Rugged Radios even has mics with the Scosche magnet plate integrated out of the box.
Full hydrolic steering on the street? I'm thinking of doing this and want to know what orbital valve your running etc... "Some people" claim full hydro is terrible for the road.
Full hydro it’s ideal on the street but it’s totally manageable. I wouldn’t want to do long road trips with it but in my opinion it’s fine for crewing around town and a quick blast down the highway. That being said, what you give up on the street you gain off-road! I love full hydro in the rocks!!! If I remember right... I changed to a PSC 180 2.5 turn. (Not positive on the 180 number.) lt’s either what I had or what I switched to.🤦♂️
Check local and state laws in your area. Full hydro is not street legal where I'm from.
I don't think I've ever seen this badass rig up here, bitchin' build!
Thank you! 😁👍
Supercharger kits for the TJ 4.0 I6 are hard to find these days annd for what they cost you can come out cheaper doing a junkyard V8 swap.
Anyone know what headlights the trail reaper is running?
@RockstarGarage what are the headlights?
I wish I could tell you they’re something fancy but really they are just some cheap lights I got off Amazon and they work great!Unfortunately I don’t remember the brand. I got them because they had a red running light and they were cheap. 🤷♂️
Did this get the genright tj to lj kit or is this a true lj? Just some of the parts look from the swap kit
This was built all custom by camp years before the gr kit came out
@@RockstarGarage this looks great I want to get another tj or lj and build a crawler because i had a tj before and loved it but do to situations i had to sell it sadly
How much do you have invested in it to date?
How is the full hydro on the road?
Now that's a REAL Jeep, Just Empty Every Pocket. LOL🤣
Street legal? Full hydro steer? Bead locks?
How much was the build all together?
My jip sahra what tioning?dizain?enjin?girbox?defranciel?
Where can I order one???
How much do want for it
It's like gridlock the brother of trail reaper
You say 6 speed, which 6 speed ? Very cool
Great The Trail Reaper❗❗❗
But Constance❓❓❓👀👀
Hahaha right!!! I was as excited as you seeing her on the cover. Total secret crush!😜👍
Hello
Whats the wheelbase?
116" wheelbase.
Coil overs are better than ORI’s
Full hydro isn’t street legal and heim joints aren’t either.
Um..full hydro, beedlocks, don't think your dot approved. Sure you should be legally on the road?
Oh sticky tires also....great build man! Just wondering the whole still street coments
dude said "built it on a budget" lol
You have the Chinese Warn on that beast?
🤷♂️ my Warn has never failed me and I’ve done quite a bit of heavy recovery with it! I’d recommend it.😁👍
“We’re smooth and quiet” lol those tires can’t be smooth and quiet lmao
America 🇺🇸💪🏼🔧🔩🤙🏼
I should have kept my lj lost it in a divorce 😤
Oh no, say it isn’t so!!!! 😭
Full hydro steering is not street legal
Could've just built a rock bouncer.
Gaudy eyesore. 0/10. Hard pass.
i'm getting really tired of this shit...
"Hey come and watch this video of this thing you can't afford!"
one of these days you guys are gonna figure out that the overwhelming majority of off-roaders aren't millionaires, don't have 100k to dump in a toy, drive their rigs as daily drivers, and are generally looking for the cheapest way to get the performance they want... how about you start catering to that crowd? you know, the majority of your target demographic.
Scott you are the Man, you. are my favorite person and my favorite Jeep build in the the entire Industry!! Can't wait to see you in Hell and Back 24 hour trail. Catch up with me on IG @ RubiCat18 > it was great running Hells Revenge with you!
