I'm gonna go with Jade was underscored. She always is. She should have scored in the same range as Jordan. She literally didn't even have so much as a wobble on the beam. Jordan's score feels appropriate. Jade should have been up there too
I think the JC is for Jordan Chiles. Always gotta factor in D scores. Simone’s is higher, but she had a lot of balance checks. Jordan’s D score wasn’t as high, but she got a higher E score, which evened them out. Jade is great at what she does. She’s not known as a beam worker…idk what her beam D scores are, but even with a perfect 10 in execution, if her d score is a 3 (I know it’s not), the max she can get is a 13. If Simone’s D scores are an 8 (I know it’s not), and she gets a 5.5 in execution, even with 2 falls, she will get a 13.5. It’s not always some conspiracy. Not to mention the judges are looking for more artistry and Jade is simply not a performer. She’s got a very flat affect and is quite stiff. I love her, but there’s still a very subjective aspect to gymnastics.
