I like your narration of your strategy. I have been doing puzzles for decades and pretty much do them border first then sort colors into piles. Never have used trays. I rarely sort by shapes as I have done so many Springboks that I actually prefer random over ribbon cut. So anyway think you are doing a super job with puzzles considering how new you are to them!! Thanks for entertaining me tonight!!
Nice job Johnie. I like how you showed that piece cut. Weird how they are on that angle. That one piece was cool that you set aside. I was really waiting in the end to see you put that round piece in but you never came back to it. When I rewound the video I could see it was part of the 2002 date. I really like your explanation on what you were thinking when doing the puzzle. Your years of your Gaming Videos really shows on how comfortable you are on camera. So relaxing listening to your story. Side note: I sent you that e-mail, did you ever receive it? Let me know if your still interested. Glenn
For some reason I've been a bit cautions to try Aquarius as well, but now I'll definitive try some of them. I like random cut, and they have some really fun ones.
I am not a huge fan of random cut because it is harder to shape sort pieces. I definitely prefer the ribbon cut of Ravensburger where the four corners of each piece match the corners of the attached pieces and pieces are in grid pattern.
yeah I see mixed comments about that, some prefer standard, some prefer random cuts. I like both. If you do competitions I think people prefer standard stuff too!
My experience with a an Aquarius puzzle was AWFUL. I bought a 1000 piece Justice League puzzle (DC fan here). Based on a Alex Ross painting. It has a whole black background. All the pieces were the same. Everything was a false fit. I got so tired that I ended up forcing many of the black pieces to fit. And you can´t tell at all. I would NEVER do another puzzle by them. No matter how much I like the image.
See I think I had a lot of bad reviews about it before I tried. Maybe it's one of those brands it depends where it was made, or maybe it depends on the years? I don't know... It was a nice image!
@@JigsawJohnie Watching your video your puzzle han an actual cut. So yes, maybe they did change. I´d read reviews/see images first then to check for the shape of the pieces first.

Thanks for the comment, always fun to hear from the viewers. Glad you enjoy the videos :) More to come!
Just ordered this puzzle and I can’t wait to get it. So excited to try a new brand too.
Awesome, it was a fun one, I loved the different backgrounds. Fun to sort and put together! Have fun :)
@ thanks!!

I like the Aquarius brand. That little Saturn shape piece has been in the ones I've done, too. Enjoy your videos!
Cool, thanks for sharing, good to know others have the same feeling towards the brand!
Thank you. I will try that brand.

Yeah let me know. Maybe check other reviews too but it was positive for me really!
