Nice clock! I found a Pearl grandfather clock on ebay from 1980 in good, working condition for $250 just over a month ago so I went for it. I'm very happy with it! Mine is a chain movement, Westminster chime only and sounds very much like your clock. Plus it was local to me so I was able pick it up myself and only had to make a few minor adjustments to the pendulum. It's been running no problem and keeping excellent time. I'll probably have it cleaned and oiled since it hasn't been. I grew up with a grandfather clock so its very nice to have my own in my house. My mom still has her's which is a Ridgeway triple chime, cable movement that she and my dad bought new in the late 90s I believe.
I think there should be a little steel pin in the last wheel that turns the moon dial. When it is engaged in the teeth of the moon dial and someone turns the moon dial it snaps the pin. You will need to remove the movement and get the wheel out of the train. Tap the remains of the pin out and make a new pin from some tool steel. If the moon dial is rotated when the pin is not engaged, ie the pin wheel has turned around it's fine to rotate the dial. This how my German movement works anyway.
This one has a gear that is attached to the cannon pinion/snail. This movement was replaced at one point so they must’ve not considered that the moon gear would be in a different spot on the replacement movement. Thankfully there is a screw that can be loosened or tightened on the moon gear.

Would be interesting to see thr moon dial when it's fixed. Overall a nice clock.

Does it have a lighter case Do you know what it’s worth
This thing is actually pretty heavy
I’d say it’s worth around $1000
I live in TN also not far from memphis
I hear it’s nice there
That’s glorious. I should introduce North Korea to these beautiful clocks.
Bro wtf
@@cobesclocks1949 its obviously a joke account
@@emdicadrianat the time I was flabbergasted, skeptical, in the 5 stages of grief, confusion
Is it your clock
Technically no. Someone I know owns it currently. But once I graduate in June it’ll belong to me.
