Nice review! I reviewed one identical to yours a month ago Peter just rebranded. Very decent unit. There was one flaw I did not like though. When you use the USB or HDMI the built in screen goes black. Really a bummer. I have the 7 inch Andonstar that does not do that. This is real important if you are doing a presentation to a group or even using OSB Studio. Thanks again for the great review.
Thank you! I have been looking for a better scope as my current one dose not offer much working room, I just placed my order for this model. That hight distance will be very nice and perhaps my pc board holder can then be used as well. Great work Peter!
Solder smoke lens contamination is always a concern. Is there a seal on the lenses to keep the smoke from getting inside the unit? Maybe a simple O ring on the interface may suffice. Of course a smoke grabber would always be used, but they are not 100% effective. Nice unit. 👍
I almost ordered one but checked the scope website and found it needs 220 vac to operate. Well, I don't have 220 vac on my bench so would have been inconvenienced if I had ordered this model.
Peter great video. Now can you answer the big question? If you were buying new for soldering smd. Would you go for the Binocular Stereo Zoom Microscope or digital camera? Thanks for the videos!
Hi, well it depends. If you listen to NorthridgeFix here on YT then it is a solution like this as NorthridgeFix stated. For him, it is better to sit upright all day to save his back. That might be a standpoint as he is working 90% under magnification aid. For me, it is nicer to use binocular as my "magnification" time might be 10% only a day. So you see both have pros and cons...
You can also take very interesting pics with this microscope. Thanks Peter for the video!

Hi my friend, oh I have not tested it but yes you are right.
Peter, an expert in RF technology and Electronics ... Hats off to him ... can't wait to see the next video ... best 73s de DL6RDE / AA1KD, Charlie
Awesome Video !!!
You should try a stereo microscope if you can. Using both eyes gives you much better depth perception.

If your pc board holder is not to tall, it should work.

There is a lens in front of the optic.

Peter: Great video as always. Question: where did you get that very nice PCB clamp? I’ve really want to add one to my bench as well. Thanks.

Thank you for being honest. Keep putting out them good videos
After one year, would you buy it again? Do you found some with better price performance ratio or better useable optics?
Peter this HDMI Digital Mikroskop be very useful in cracks in copper traces in PCB handy tool
absolutely true.
How many centimeters from the top of a board can the camera reach, or how far can camera be extended?
approx. 20cm
is it an standard USB Device without driver install like a WebCam ?
you need to install software. The HDMI port is anyway better..
😀👍
must take a fair bit of practice to work with a microscope working on a board via a screen .
Off course, everything we learn new needs a fair bit of practice, but it is manageable!
Many thanks! great Peter! vy 73 de DL1LEP
