- Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer is urging sports leaders to prohibit transgender athletes from competing in elite women’s sports events.
In her statement, Frazer talks about the importance of sporting organisations providing clear guidance and taking a firm stance on the inclusion of transgender athletes.
While current policies of organisations like the Football Association and the England and Wales Cricket Board allow transgender women to compete in female competitions under specific conditions, they are currently under review.
Frazer says that the issue significantly impacts the fairness of women’s sports and stresses the significance of biological factors in sports.

I think many politicians and other upper echelon people are being blackmailed. Think of the stupid things they’ve said; like “transwomen are women” or “99% of women don’t have penises, but some do”. A stupid risk to take by potentially alienating 50% of the voting populous for the sake of less than %1 makes no logical sense. I’m by no means justifying it, but that’s what I think is happening behind the scenes.
About time there is someone in Politics talking common sense.
