Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception - Mission 13B: Armada

This track is my ringtone. Suppose that should say it all.
Armada is the mandatory naval fleet mission, and a rather good one at that. The relatively low number of ships allows you to make short work of most with LASMs, and the number of airborne aircraft is rather small, which is a shame, but I suppose that's just me and my obsession with MORE MORE MORE shit to blow up.
However, note how I emphasized the word airborne. Because there are a few fun things you can do with this mission if you're willing... and expect me to show them in the future.

The front line magazine mentioned that the increase of the Leasath's fleet made them claims that the Alicorn potentially would be posessed by the Leasath government, but the Alicorn was purchased by the erusean government through General Resources.

This is probably the most painful mission in ace, more than Time limit. Infinite one-shoting missile barrage everywhere. Not fun at all

*FUN FACT:* Falco 1 is the only main character in Ace Combat that actually speaks (not counting Phoenix's one line in AC2). He was the main protagonist of Ace Combat Xi: Skies of Incursion, which took place before ACX.

I'm having trouble getting an S-rank on this mission. I'm currently 100%-ing the game (atleast the best I can without multiplayer) and I'm on my Easy campaign playthrough. I've already gotten the S-ranks on my Normal and Hard playthroughs which weren't any problem because the Aces provide 2840 points in total but as you probably know, on the Easy difficulty Aces don't spawn presenting me with a dilemma of where to find more points. I've cleared the map several times (even waiting for enemy fighters to spawn) but still come up short. If you have an answer you would get me that much closer to my pseudo 100%
Edit: I just did the level again and my breakdown for enemies destroyed is exactly the same as yours but without the F-15s and YF-23 (the aces) for a grand total of 17,910 points. If I'm not mistaken the S-rank requires 19,000 points. So it almost seems like it's impossible on Easy. I still need another 1,090 points but have no enemies to destroy.

Huh. That's one I never thought about. When you say you waited for enemies to spawn, does that include the carriers? More F-35s (6 total) will launch if you wait.

I didn't think about that. I usually just obliterate the second and third groups with an swbm in my Fenrir before they get a chance to spawn, I'll try leaving the carriers alive and wait for the 35s to spawn, thanks.

Take out every hardpoint on the ships first then the ships themselves.
Also get every fighter that shows up.
Lastly, destroy the carriers last. You need to give them time to get their air groups off the deck. Once you shoot those aircraft down, that plus the other two will get you the S rank.

YF-23 SPIDER: Appears to the southeast after the first two fighters on the second carrier are destroyed before they take off.
