This video needs more attention . I searched the web for like 2 hours cause my controller woudnt turn on . finally found this video . used a sowing needle threw the slot of the clip of the battery compartement cap to pry the wire slightly away from the motherboard. Controller is now good as new. turning on without issues.
Bro, you’re the GOAT. I had this controller for 10 months with my Series S and it stopped working out of nowhere like yours. I ended up buying the Elite 2 controller. Fast forward a year later today I found your video and it fixed my controller. It still works WIRELESS! Now I have two working controllers. Idk how but it’s working without that wire plugged in!
This worked for me! I didnt needed to disconnect any cable, i just moved the angle of that exact cable and it started working without any problems. I use a Play & Charge and didnt detected the play and charge but then i just connected it to the Xbox Series with the Play & Charge inside the controller and worked again. Thanks a lot!
Worked like a charm! For those who don't want to void their warranty like I didn't, you can access the wire you need to unplug without taking apart your controller completely. Simply get yourself a handy little pen light or any small light of some sort, and through the centre gap at the bottom of the charger port you can see the wire and disconnect it carefully with a paperclip! (Refrence alongside video while looking, to make sure you're disconnecting the right side) Welcome and enjoy
@@nikoskochilas as stated in the video, this is an immediate fix that makes your controller essentially wired only. The wire you're disconnecting is apart of the wireless chip, so with this cord disconnected your controller will randomly cut out if being used as wireless. This was essentially the only way to fix mine, as it wouldn't turn on at all, even without batteries and plugged in. As soon as I unplugged the wire it was working perfectly fine and I haven't had any issues. I believe it has to do with the fact that if you leave your wireless controller on for too long, or leave it on in a wired connection for too long, this bug happens and for some reason the wireless chip just doesn't want to work at all, and has the same buzzing in the video.
@@caetanodantas4880 yes it does on certain games. I don't know it's weird. I played brawlhalla it worked perfectly but then when I play battlefield it acted a little funny. But if you hook up a USB it works perfectly.
Your fix worked. I disconnected thenwire and the controller turned on. Then I connected it again. Turned the controller off and it turns on again. Good discovery.
Dude you are a genius I was about to scrap this junk lol I disconnected that wire and poof working lol crazy .. Thanks you earned a sub from me for sure this needs more attention I know alot of people have this issue and taking the controller apart is no biggie since most of us install custom things lol atleast I do
Fixed it for me, I did not take it apart however, I just disconected the pin in the video, you can acces it if you take out the bateries, now it works, even wiresly.
You are a legened, my controller just felt down from my desk and I heard this buzzing noise and wasn't able to turn on however your fix saved my controller's life.
you can actually disconnect them without opening it, the slot where the cap for the batteries go's is enough to stick a paper clip and remove it that's how I fixed mine.
This video isn't crappy at all, managed to fix mine the same way. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work at all with the battery cables plugged... so I left it loose.
Me salvaste
@@SentinelEx Mine is fixed. However, I'm afraid it might be dangerous to use the controller with a loose wire. Did you cover the unplugged wire with a tape or something?
Thank you for the video, I believe it helped a lot of people, unfortunately not me. I have another solution that worked 100% Take your Xbox controller, smash it as hard as you can against the wall, put it in the trash, take or buy another controller that isn't Microsoft, done. Never buy Microsoft hardware again, its very important. Now I use a 16 year old PS3 controller that works perfectly, I have 2 in perfect condition, I installed the SCP Driver to simulate the Xbox controller and everything works perfectly, even better than these new Microsoft controllers which are a pure scam. For me the worst thing was that I felt bad because it was my wife who gave me the controller for my birthday, and she even apologized for giving me something of such poor quality, although I was still very grateful, of course, but made me feel even worse, poor woman, she just wanted to make me happy and see my happy child's face when I opened the gift, she deserves better. Damn you Microsoft.
Hey man this worked thanks so much! Btw they look like the Bluetooth antennas? I was only able to get it to work with the right wire off like you stated. It still seems to work fine on my Xbox and phone using Bluetooth.
My battery pack died at the same time. I'm scared to charge the battery pack because it may break my other controllers. I got warranty on my controller which is good and in the process of the refund.
My controller randomly dies and in order to turn it on i have to plug in the cable and it makes the buzzing noise. When it stops buzzing, then my controller starts working again, but it will randomly die again
yea the same happen to me i tought it was because I connected the remote to my PC, but just had to disconnect one of the cables through the back without opening it.
@@caetanodantas4880 Yes the remote is still working. If i disconnect it i can use it with a cable. Sometimes i reconnect the cable and the remote sometimes works and sometimes it doesn’t it has something to do with the signal it is sharing with the Xbox.
Didn’t fix mine. I took it apart and did the wire thing. Buzzing still happens and it refused to turn on. Edit hours later I decided to check it because I think it was a software bug since I had recently downloaded the new update and then problems started to occur. Everything seems to be working now and the buzzing has seemed to magically stop. Sadly I can’t put the controller back together rn as I left the kit in my parents room and they are both asleep.
@@caetanodantas4880 Yes. Works just fine. Only thing I’ve noticed is sometimes the controller will randomly lose connection to the Xbox, but it could be a bug or connection issue. But it works fine all the time.
