I wasn't expecting FM madness especially because you opened the video about how some synths are known for doing one thing really well. I always associated Model D with those creamy, smooth basslines and leads. So you really surprised me - I had no idead it can do the psytrance squelches & FMs! So that was an awesome sound desing and synthesis lesson - thanks!!! Still, I woulnd't be mad if for once you actually did some melodic stuff where Model D could shine :)
It surprised me aswell, when I first got my Model D, I was looking for the famous smooth creamy basslines and I figured it could defo make some wilde filter FM sounds thx to it's ladder filter & the added LFO, the crazy FM wasn't planned at all lol Glad I was able to surprise you in this video ;) PS : I agree, it's about time to get some melodic stuff going on my channel, enough S&H 😂
You should try challenging yourself to create a whole track using one of these types of synths. A friend and I would do it with a Sequential Pro 1, always entertaining
I actually did one not that long ago with the SH101 emulation from TAL ;) ua-cam.com/video/zAaMLvJY-IU/v-deo.html But it doesn't hurt to make a new one with a different synth ^^
YES you shouuuld! Also, I think with the SE02 you can make way more than a traditional Model D as you have a complexe xmod section & a traditional LFO with S&H and sync options ;)
Awesome use of the Model D! When I first got mine I did a similar thing after stumbling upon the capabilities of that synth ( ua-cam.com/video/jC-Q--Er26U/v-deo.html ) It's really fun to play around with hardware when playing live. Great video, thanks for sharing!
Oh man. That D sounds great. I'm going to try something similar on my roland se-02 in the morning. Really helpful tutorial. Thank you.
New in synthesis. Thanks for this tutorial

A definite must use for this is the external input overload function! Give it a try
I love making fm sounding textures with that alone on my model d
I agree, it already does wonder when used as feedback for the internal oscillators !!!
Dancing with you. Thx! ❤
Thank You Ollie I really enjoyed this video, wow! 👌😁
Brilliant video, Ollie. The expression is "jack of all trades, master of none".
Thanks Adrenakrom 🙏🙌
A lot of great inputs and thoughts represented nicely and not boring at all! well done mate, especially on the model D! 🤤🤤🤤
Did I fuel your GAS well enough now ? 😉😜
awesome was just talking about this yesterday :D
Great minds think a like ^^
@@olliepsy indeed they do :P
Just a huge WOW on this! very great tip 👏🏻🙏🏻
Très bon ça 👍
Moi j'utilise le NI Monark, qui sonne vraiment bien.
Pas le choix en même temps, c'est le seul "minimoog D" que j'ai :)

Good video man it’s time to hook up my controller to the SE-02 and make some trance sounds

nice man, simple n effective
wait, so its a D1 saw wave modulating a (which note?) square wave like 4/5 octaves higher?
Something like this yes, it's best to use a tuner specially with the Behringer Model D as you can loose the tunning easily !
Wow, mind blowing!
Very good SIr!
some tutorials to use the virus ti2! 🤔🤔
