@@michiepixie when i watch that kind of videos i do it not for finding some tips but for an additional portion of motivation. I watch them once in a while and it reminds me of my objectives and goals if i found myself distracted of them and veging out for a few days already. So I do not deceive myself pretending to look for some idea that will change my life once and forever.
So this way of watching these videos is not procrastination but a small useful action or sometimes a kind of spending leisure time and relaxing.

I do this and also leave space on my to-do list, so I can log additional tasks my brain decided to go for instead. Leaves you with a big list of things you did at the end of the day rather than a list of 2 out of 5 tasks completed and feeling like you failed and did nothing.

i do the same thing, but for me it's a hardcover notebook. i use it for all of my notes, while on the phone, while answering emails, while preparing meetings or calls or working through tasks etc. like this i don't have loose paper and i can always go back when i need to remember something. really important information might get copied over into a second notebook with different sections (i'm independent and work from home), so that things are a bit more organized. but i got rid of any scrap paper on my desk. i only have my notebook, a digital planner in notion, and very rarely sticky notes which i stick in the middle of my pc screen before turning it off for the night. so i hopefully don't get distracted when there's a really important task or appointment the next day 😅

@@NoFeckingNamesLeft this is so true! i do this too. that's why i've been using digital todo lists & calendars in the last year. i can just drag and drop stuff around, add new tasks and tick things off. i often plan too many things in a day, and the digital aspect helps me save time and it still looks neat at the end of the day, even if i had to move some tasks to the next day.

Pretty similar, i have a note centered on my phone's home screen as a rolling to-do/ideas list, basically to note down all the stuff that I'd inevitably forget about otherwise (including motivational stuff)
Helps me mostly not get distracted
I check stuff off when I've acted on it, and seeing all the checks reminds me of how much i've accomplished, then once it gets a little too disorganised i move all the checked off stuff to a space at the bottom, in case i ever want/need to look at it again for whatever reason
I can even swipe to replace the space on my home screen with a picture, for when i just need to relax :)

Ugh, I'm the opposite. I thoroughly dislike the pomodoro thing. I haven't quite worked out why I dislike it so much, though. Maybe because it's been hyped up so much and therefore there's this feeling of "If you don't take this technique on board, you're doing productivity all wrong." And I am so not down with feeling shamed. So my brain processes immediately turn into the "anti-bandwagon." I mean, it's cool if it works for other people. Just don't expect me to embrace an uber-hyped productivity thing just because "everyone is doing it." Yep, my neurodivergent brain is one helluva rebel. 🤣🤣

@@a.katherinesuetterlin3028 That’s fine..I didn’t like it either and I’m not actually doing the exact thing. But I do a version of russian roulette with my tasks and a timer. Like: I have a bunch of tasks in a row and I set my timer for 30 minutes and then do the tasks, take a break and totate the tasks. In a way, it’s better if you do one task in a single go with no interruptions…but what I found is that my brain gets overwhelmed and anxious if I have to do a hard task and I think I have to spend hours on end on it…so thinking there is a time limit to the activity helps me go on and break that hesitance. But, sometimes I do spend hours on a task if I got the ball rolling and it’s working.

The shipping is really pricy, but it's something that's out of the creator's control. Shipping costs for large books were already really high, especially for cases like this where it's self-published so there's no leverage to negotiate volume discounts with the shipper. Since covid, shipping costs have skyrocketed for all products, and it's really hurt a lot of small businesses.
All that to say, the shipping cost is out of the author's hands and is likely the best price they were able to find.

I love how so many are sharing their tools hoping they can help others that struggle - thank you to all of you that put yourself out there to do this. This Non-planner sounds like an ADHD cheer squad - by giving us a new way to tackle a challenge - for each challenge we face - to keep us moving in the right direction. I have 2 weeks until we have a new management company that changed our one page lease to a 47 page lease with HOA like restrictions for our home rental, do an inspection - so I need this book yesterday :) I can have nothing outside my home, and only 3 house plants now - wish me luck!

My poor Libra side throws up her hands in indecisiveness and wants to hand everything over to my Pisces side, who will happily drag all those micromanage-y notes to where even Poseidon can't find them (escapist mode majorly activated.).
