"WHY WOULD YOU PLAY HARDCORE OMG WHAT IF YOU DIED" - well the answer to that is simple :) in Hardcore Mode, EVERYTHING you do feels more significant, every decision you make has massive consequences and ultimately I feel I get more enjoyment from the game knowing that I could lose all my progress to one stupid death. Going back to Vanilla just seems boring to me... unless it's on a server with other peeps to keep things interesting :'D

In my hardcore world i died by my chicken farm squishing me
I died the same way once. There was a deafening silence for about five seconds, and then a friend said scathingly, "Well, I've never seen that one before...." I think the embarrassment was almost worse than the death.

I have a lot of respect for people who play in hardcore long-term. I've tried playing on hardcore a few times, but a creeper keeps getting me early on.
there are easy ways to break the game via villagers. you can trade almost anything, any enchant you want, full diamond, infinite emeralds, anx diamond tool and so much more, hec you can even trade away the useless stones like doirite and granite and andesite. Villagers are so op.

My first minecraft world I ever played was a hardcore world. I was looking at the various options before I generated my first world and I forgot to change the gamemode back to regular before starting the world. I died my first night while trying to figure out how to make a pickaxe lmao. 1.7.2 was the latest release at the time.

My two year world died when I was randomly exploring a new ravine, a pair of creepers dropped on my head and their combined knock blew me into lava 😒
The pain is real. I didn't take it as well as Phil here, I stopped playing there and then. Only just getting back into it.

I started building a huge project just like your underwater temple, Ive mapped out a 101x101 block sized circle and filled in about half of it with sand. Its taken me like 2 weeks of on and off work, but your beautiful build inspired me to keep going. Thanks for your hard work lol =)

also people assume that if you have an elytra on it will automatically get rid of all the fall damge, no. you have to glide, then right when you about to hit the ground, go up so it slows the fall

I had a close call in my hardcore world too, I was building a mob grinder and fell off. It took me to one heart.
Another time I was mining and not paying much attention to where I was going. I fell into lava. Luckily, it only took me down to half health.
I like to imagine this as his ghost going through his old kingdom, telling his friends (Techno, Wilbur, Tommy, Pete, etc.), telling them about all the times he almost died. And then he actually died.

In my hardcore world, i died cause i wanted to get the postmortal achievement and my totem bugged and died :(
The elytra glitch at 10:00 killed me in my server hardcore world with my girlfriend just today. I was building a witch farm and built the afk spot. After gliding down from it and landing on the grass, there was a very loud *THUD* and was met with the death screen. I even did a test to see if it was the elytra glitch, because it all happened pretty fast. I did a nose dive into the ground at full speed with Protection 4 armor and Feather falling 4 boots from the build limit, and it did not kill me. We started a new world regardless of the fact, as we hold the philosophy of “a death is a death no matter how you look at it.”
