    Ok yall for real. People are talking about how she didn't apply it right/she should've talked to an employee before purchasing/she needs to read up on the products to get tips on how they're supposed to be applied. Like if it takes that much work to make it happen or she has to research each product just to make it look good, then it's not a great traditional makeup product. If Lush wants to market their products as unique and used differently that's all fine and dandy, but they didn't do that. They called things foundation and powder and such and that's how she used them. And in general some of this stuff was just awful. I mean that mascara? The design is horrible! And it's pretty up there in price. She has every right to be disappointed

      Ok my bad I'm sorry. My comment still stands that they didn't market it as a product that has to be used in a specific way and made sure that that was clear (for example like those really long lasting liquid lip sets that Tati tried a while back that had specific instructions).

    Hey Tati! As someone who works for lush, the colour supplement you used is actually designed to be seen and used more like a colour concentrate, so you can mix it with your daily moistuizer and therefore it becoming more of a bb cream than a foundation. I do suggest to people that if they want it more pigmented then to use more colour concentrate, but otherwise yeah, its designed to work with your natural skin and give it a tint, moreso than coverage. Lush believes that everyone is beautiful and design their products to work with their natural beauty (the lip tints work the same, to work with your natural lip colour in order to make the perfect pink or red or whatever colour for you).
    Though obviously if you don't like something then you just don't like it, which is OK too (I personally don't use their makeup either)

      the professional lighting makes her look especially flawless, but in average lighting you'd see she has just a few sun spots and such. to me, she's just as beautiful with or without the lights and makeup, but the lights can act as a bit of photoshop and make it seem like what she's talking about is invisible.

      I really don't get the packaging on that at all. I love Lush and probably have half the store at home, but it really doesn't make sense to have it in glass, which is not as easy to recycle as plastic, and then skimp on the wand only to be able to get a longer wand for free in the store.

    Tati- I just came across probably the craziest beauty product I have EVER seen. I don't know if you have seen this yet, have you heard of the HiMirror? If not....whoa. I mean WHOA. It's a mirror that scans your face and tells you what you need help with like pores, hydration, overall health, lines, etc, and recommends a custom skin care routine based on the results. Also, you catalog the products you use and it will tell you whether it's helping, making it worse, how much progress you have made so far with this product and so on so you can adjust your routine. I have never seen anything so cool in my whole life, it would make for an incredible WTF. It's a bit pricey, a little under $200 I think, but if it's even half as accurate as it is claimed to be, it would be probably the best investment ever.

    She wanted to make her subscribers happy, because a TON of them asked for her to review Lush makeup, she did it. And now people are unhappy because she didn't like it?
    I'm sorry, but everything that does not work with this makeup is pretty obvious. If you like makeup that can't stay in place, not even a little 3 hours (!), it's ok, you do you. But stop criticizing because she was disappointed, she was very respectful in the way she did this review, so there's nothing wrong with the fact that she didn't like it.

If they liked the makeup, why do they need her to review it?! If I like a product, I don't need to watch a guru's opinion of the product, I like it, that's all I need to know. It's when I'm debating on buying a product that I watch the reviews and this makeup looked awful, regardless of how thorough they think her review was or was not, the end of the day result spoke for itself.

    Tati what sales ambassador said it was going to be matte? I work for lush, and have worked for them for some time and we would never say the supplement is gonna be matte- I'm sorry they said that! The supplements aren't meant or made for full foundation effects, rather for people who want just a bit of color evening and such since it's based in less "makeup" ingredients and more skin care ingredients! I ALWAYS recommend the makeup for people who don't consider themselves makeup people and want to feel a little bit more put together if they have some skin issues happening! And that mascara ain't gonna be your friend unless you're wearing it specifically for growth and nourishment- 150% I've complained myself about the brush haha!
    I love my job, love what lush stands for- but the US/North America makeup line isn't as good as it could be, the U.K. Has the full collection and there are some REALLY COOL things like color blocks that you can pull as eye color and blush and stuff!

      Tammie Nguyen I'm always SUPER transparent with my customers about what they're going to get out of that line! It definitely has a time and place- I have major skin sensitivities so using my typical foundation is sometimes out of the question, but I would never use my Light Pink for the makeup look I enjoy! The moment I saw Tati's notification come through on my phone I was like OH DANG SHE AINT GONNA LOVE, wish I could've been her ambassador to walk her through the information you gotta know when buying the color supplement line (we don't even call the supplements foundation or bronzer- otherwise we would be lying)

      I've worked for LUSH as well! It really surprised me when she said that because I have NEVER heard of anybody describing the color supplements as anything other than bb creams! They're certainly not matte or full coverage. I also personally hate the mascara, but I have a hefty collection of the eyeliners because I think that's one of the unique things that LUSH does really well. I was also shocked at how much she disliked the lip scrub, because it was the best seller at my location and I always recommended it to customers when I was on till.

      the workers at my local lush Store always recommend mixing it with your favorite moisturizer. of course, this would lower the coverage, but maybe it could help to not emphasize the pores so much :)

    So many people stating she should have consulted employees on how to use these products...if a make up artist need to get special instructions on how to use a make up product, the average person isn’t typically going to want to fuss with a product requiring special instructions to apply.

    If you decide to revisit LUSH cosmetics I have a few tips that could help! The mascara is best used as a primer under other mascaras. I originally wore it alone and it smudged all over my face. When I put it under my mascara...holy crap. It made the world of difference. The wheatgrass was able to strengthen my lashes and they even started to grow. Also, the colour supplement can be mixed with a moisturizer or foundation to add additional coverage/colour. It also helps extend the life of the product. Lastly, the bubblegum lip scrub is the best! It smells nice and tastes good :)

    I've used Lush cosmetics before and I didn't like them at all! They didn't last on me, it was too expensive for what you get (in my opinion. I don't have a huge income, so $20 for one item is a splurge for me,) and it expired a lot quicker. The ones I got expired before the expiration date... not sure if it's because of where I live? Although- we have very average weather all year round, no heat waves or snow. I closed them up after each use...
    I tried to use it up, but I dreaded it! I was kinda released that they went bad sooner than expected... although- I still feel like I threw my money away on them. I don't do crazy glam looks... ever... and I'm not a pro makeup artist... my expectations weren't intensely high.... but they sure fell short!

      I can cook up better products in my kitchen honestly. Lush products are hand made, which sounds like a good thing right? What that actually means is that the products are made with no quality control and no research is put into developing the products. Probably no testing either, looking at that mascara brush.
      They should stick to making those stinky bath bomb toys.

    • @annieromanova
      @annieromanova 7 років тому +4

      LindzExposure since lush makes vegan natural products things expire quickly, and most of their products have no preservative (to keep the product vegan). They make great body products and I highly recommend you try their face washes and body washes.

      They actually do have quality control and will often write off large batches if they don't meet their standards. Plus they have a whole lab where their inventors research new products and they test them through the public often before they sell them on the market. Most of the time when people complain that their products "dont work" it's because they don't fully read through how to properly use it or what it's actually supposed to be used for etc.

    • @annieromanova
      @annieromanova 7 років тому

      Not all are, lush tries to go to the most "organic" preservatives which don't give the product the longest shelf life.

    Hey Tati, I know this has nothing to do with beauty but I want to start the gym but I'm a little intimidated by all the machines lol so my question is: Will you do a video like a "ride along with me" showing what you do on your daily routine? That would be so helpful and fun to watch. Maybe show us little tips and tricks? What do you say?😁 pretty please..

    • @Kaalyn_HOW
      @Kaalyn_HOW 7 років тому +10

      Depending on the gym you go to, if it's an inexpensive one like Planet Fitness, the machines will tell you what to do and how to use them. PF is also really MADE for people who are easily intimidated by stuff like that and there really is no judgment. Everyone in the few PFs I've been too just really wants to help you out and not make you feel like an idiot for being there but not knowing what to do. Most of the machines are organized by body part, too. So, if you know you wanna work your legs, most of the leg machines are in the same place, arm machines are in the same place, etc. You can also meet with a PF person the first time to just show you around, they'll ask you what your goals are and show you which would be the best for you there. You can also do so during a workout too. You can also tell which are the most common/effective machines by those in which someone is always waiting in line for ;) That said, I'd still love to see what Tati's up to! Good luck!

      Leydi Ortega A lot of gyms have a free personal trainer session when you sign up so that way you can tell them your goals and they can help you with a workout plans and how to use the machines OR if it's in your budget you can keep the personal trainer for a month so that way you have that personal trainer to help you learn everything that you can later continue on your own

      Yes! I've heard the Bright Future serum gel concealer is amazing. I love the pro-series brushes, the cream lip stains and lip lusters, and a lot of the Colorful shadow singles. Have heard good things, too, about some of the powder products, sheet and sleeping masks, and lip treatments. I'd love to know more. It could be a good option that's more affordable, but kinda overlooked, IMO.

    Not sure if it's my iPhone (I have the 6s+ which is fantastic for showing true colours) but the yellow foundation literally looked utterly yellow and heavy on you. The only item I liken makeup wise from Lush is the red lipstick 👌

      MissP I agree, I thought it was just me cause no one else mentioned it (from what I could see). To me the foundation looked extremely yellow on her until she put the powder on top then it seemed to tone down a bit. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7.

    The most important question this video has raised: WHAT IS SNOW CREAM????

    • @mandic5904
      @mandic5904 7 років тому +5

      I don't know how it is everywhere but when I was a kid and we had a hard snow my mom would send us out to gather clean snow. We'd bring a big pot of it inside and she'd mix it up with vanilla extract, some sugar and maybe milk to make snow cream. It was similar to ice cream. There's also an ice cream company that makes little pints of snow cream flavored ice cream. The taste is similar.

    • @MotionPictureMuse
      @MotionPictureMuse 7 років тому +5

      Found this on a shop's webstite: "Blockheads Shavery presents a unique treat we’re proud to call Snow Cream (or shaved ice cream, as we like to describe it!). We use the freshest ingredients and make each snow cream block in small, individual batches. Finally, we shave each block only when it reaches the optimal temperature, ensuring every serving meets the highest of standards." Don't think it's made with actual snow, although that is also a thing here in the frozen north!

    • @EpicTrioandFriends
      @EpicTrioandFriends 7 років тому +8

      I'm betting it's a english translation of the korean dessert bingsu, think like ice cream, shaved ice and a bunch of different toppings. I think it usually has red bean and fruit in it, but it looks like at that place you choose what you want. I'm basing my guess off of the fact that the place had Korean pop music playing in the background.

    • @freakingwaffles2306

    • @MotionPictureMuse
      @MotionPictureMuse 7 років тому +4

      Kpop for Noobcakes Yeah, I was wondering if it might be an imported idea. Not just due to the background music, but because it seems anything and everything Korean or Japanese has enjoyed huge popularity in the US recently. Especially on the West Coast, thanks in part to the large East Asian population.

    Tati, jojoba oil is actually really good for the skin. It's a nicer oil than argan oil, coconut oil, etc coz it has a very similar structure to sebum and it ACTUALLY penetrates the skin to really hydrate

  • @audreymaybee
    @audreymaybee 7 років тому +9

    the reason lush products are "expensive" is because they like to pay their workers a decent wage and buy their ingredients ethically. they also manufacture their products locally, i.e. the australian/new zealand stores get all their products made in sydney and east asia gets their products made in japan. really don't like their makeup or basically any of their skincare but i like all their bath/shower stuff and the lip scrubs so i'm happy to buy from them even if it's a little pricey.
